Still Pecking Away....

These are a few of the sky pictures I have taken in the past 3 weeks. I got them loaded on the computer...Oh boy, you would not believe how I got them to post though. One day I will show you a new picture of me . Don't laugh when you see how bald I am getting.
I call it hair pulling frustration.  The older I get the less patience I seem to have.
I think it's because I feel my time is running out, in the big scheme of things. Oh to be as strong as I was in my 30's and 40's. I was much healthier, weighed less, still had some hormones. LOL. I felt I could tackle any thing.  Now I do not want to listen to double talk, promises, or what that person is gonna do for me. Keep it simple. LOL That's my new desire. I used to say if you want anything done right, you better learn to do it yourself. This is where the strength comes in. I tucker out quicker and need a fire under my butt to get going at times.
I am sorry I have whined on and on.Thank you dear friends, for your understanding and support.  I truly appreciate you. All of you.
So I am hoping for us to have a great day.  XO

  1. Very pretty sky pics. We are the same way. We just want what we pay for or are entitled to.

  2. Love the skies.......
I am feeling much as you. Today I am 66 years old. It gives me pause. While I am happier than I have ever been and even healthier than last year - it still boggles my mind that I am 'elderly!' Growing old gracefully is becoming a daily prayer.......
I want to SEE that pic of you!! My hair is thinning on the right side (where I sleep on it!) and I may be getting a wig in time to come!!

    1. Linda, Some times I feel 100...that's when I look in the mirror and say "boy I look good to be 100. " LOL I feel at peace with My Lord...but I know I will go kicking and screaming...there's much left to do. Oh truly my real hair is thinner. Two years ago, I was antibiotics and lost lots of hair. I am always teasing about pulling it out myself when I become agitated. I wish I had my daughter's Kathy and Lizzy's hair...they each have enough for 3 women. Liz's twin(Karen) and Angie(big sis) , they have thin hair. I'll wear hats and wigs before I would ever go around with my head shining. LOL. xoxo,Susie

  3. Spectacular skies !
I seem to be less tolerable of manners, or lack of, and just plain stupidity, than I was in my younger days. I have a 'moan' at least once a day :)
Hormones....something I recall I had at one time or another :)
Have a great day sweet lady.

  4. Hello Susie, your photos are gorgeous . . . what beautiful skies:) I just turned 69 so I know how the energy falls away as we get older, but there is still so very much to be grateful for. I don't want to look back when I'm 90 and think of how young I was at 69, LOL. Some-days I do not need any motivation other than waking up and having my feet touch the floor and then other days I just can't get moving. Here's to a better outlook on each new day . . . for you and for me:) I refuse to quit until I have both feet in the grave. How about you? Life is good!
    Your blogging sister,
    Connie :)

  6. Your photos are breath taking. I think everyone in the over 50 class is thinking these thoughts. Trying to have faith and live life to the fullest. Sometimes that's not easy, but pray for God's protection and guidance in my life. Great to know that God is in control of this crazy world.

  9. Oh my dear Susie, I hope this brightens your day a little. I have nominated you for the "Butterfly Light Award" on my blog today. This award honors those who bring light into the lives of others. You are always so kind to visit and leave comments. You can feel the love that you have for all of your family. You blog like I do, right from the heart. Bad with the good.
I am sorry about the computer geeks . I had that at the VW shop. They took the screws off my brakes then told me someone else did. Then they said that they didn't have any and I would have to return to have them put on. Excuse me, no one but you checked my brakes. I wanted to look into their trash can. I gave them an unfavorable review but nothing became of that. Geez.
I have a thin spot on the top of my head. I recently decided to let my bangs grow out. I found some skinny headbands that don't kill my big head. Guess what, with my hair pulled back the thin spot doesn't show.
Head over to my blog to see what you have to do. You may want to wait until your computer works better. HUGS

I guess it comes down to aging. I'm going through similar things. The less I do the less I want to do.

  13. That is a gorgeous sky photo! I read this blog post just when I was thinking about how tired I'm feeling and need to scrounge around the kitchen for something to eat. lol I think I should make supper instead, but it's always tempting to go for the chocolate chips. They make me feel better (for about 3 minutes before I would CRASH ON THE COUCH). :-) I think part of the problem is that the hours of daylight are dwindling fast and winter is coming on. No way to stop it. It does make me more tired to have less daylight.

    1. I had to laugh aren't we all so much alike in ways. I am a cookie eater. I have resisted buying them so I won't eat them. But today I did not eat right. A peanut buttered toast and yogurt for lunch. I will not cook for just me, unless it's scrambled eggs. My brother likes to say, whenever he and his wife go anywhere that takes walking...once they get home, after about 15 more minutes...he gets up and lets his wife's butt in the door....that's how badly it drags...he is just so teasing to her. Just like when he was our big brother at home. xoxo,Susie

  15. The photos are beautiful! I think as we age, our stamina is not as great and it's very frustrating. I feel mentally that I can do whatever I want, however, the body is just not willing. :) Girlfriend, as long as we have our health and are vertical, we can make it! You are such a blessing to so many so I hope the love we all share for you makes things better! I've been in a funk lately but trying to keep plodding along.

  16. Aw..Susie- You aren't thinking older-you're just thinking smarter. I don't have the same strength I did a few years ago either. I can remember staying up all night long and doing laundry and cleaning and then chasing kids all day long after that, I don't pull all nighters anymore. lol

You are just having "one of those days" and tomorrow everything will look a whole lot different. I think we all do that when we get to be a certain age-think---wow -- more of my life has passed than lays ahead of me. Blessings- xo Diana

  20. Hi Susie, I missed this post and am getting a laugh and some lessons from all your comments. You can just see and hear the "get on with it" words!! Oh, I wish I was lucky enough to be there again!! Well, I thought I was going to beat you all in the age category. I will be 76 in November. But, I see BJ has me beat by a very little bit. Somedays are just about getting out of bed and getting dressed by 1:00 (like today) and some are still, believe it or not, so wonderful!! I guess we just have to take what life gives us and keep on smiling. What is the alternative\? I don't even want to go there..Happy Thursday..Judy

    1. Judy, I made this post when I was just stressed to the max over my computer, the travel to and from Utah where my grandson got married. Then I kind of hurt my foot while putting my suitcase in the car to go to the airport. Plus I flew Frontier..Oh my gosh, they want a credit card or debit card to swipe if you want anything besides water. Oh I must have been in a big whiny mood. LOL. I laughed about some of the comments and I know they love me. Maybe that's all I really wanted was some hugs. xoxo,Susie

  23. Oh, I totally understand what you're saying, Susie. I think these days "simple" is my middle name. My thing with people lately is how you send an e-mail, and they don't reply. I mean all you have to do is press the reply button, and say a few words. I think it's kind of rude when others don't respond to e-mails, but some people only respond when they are asked a question. Oh well, I guess I'm complaining now too hahaha.

These are beautiful skies, Susie. They really are.

    love,
