I bought these burlap leaves at the Horton's Artisan Market. I wish I had bought more.
This is the rest of the things I brought home. Hinged shutters, a yearbook, plant, pumpkins, gourds and fake acorns. A chicken cutout.
These acorns are as big as a lime...but fake and can be used over and over..if I remember where I put them away after the fall season.:):)
This old yearbook had pictures of my big brothers. We never bought yearbooks growing up, never enough money for those things. Also found my daughter's in-laws' senior pictures.
Tomorrow, I will post how I used all these things on the porch.Well not the book LOL. Hope your day is a great one. It's cloudy here , hopefully no rain till around Thursday. The farmers are harvesting corn and soybeans here. XO
Good morning, Susie! You've some great things to make a seasonal arrangement on your porch! I love those burlap leaves! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, Some times I am so tight with my money, I make myself mad. LOL Those leaves were 65 cents each and I only bought 3, thinking I would put them in the cheese dome with the white pumpkins I have that are fake also. Well after I got home, I thought wow those would be nice to make a small wreath....I should have bought more. They actually have a leaf embossed rise in them. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds, and how fun that you found that yearbook. Looking forward to seeing how you used everything. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteLaura, I have enjoyed looking through that old yearbook. :) I have all that other stuff on the porch and it's nice. xoxo,Susie
Deleteof all the things you have shown us its the acorns that take my interest, lol, they are amazing, what they can't make now, amazing, lol,
ReplyDeleteLaurie....who would think to make acorns was my 1st thought. LOL .. I brought some real ones in and painted then last year. I put them under glass, thank goodness and some worms came out of them...yuck, that was gross. So I don't bring them in the house any more.xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove all your market finds! I especially love the burlap leaves!
ReplyDeleteSusan, Why didn't I buy more of those cute leaves??? What was I thinking. # is an accent...but more could have been a nice wreath.xoxo,Susie

DeleteI love all your finds as well. My favorite hare the burlap leaves. :-)
ReplyDeleteCarla, I should have bought more of those leaves, my goodness , they were only 65 cents each. I only bought the 3 for accents. I may go back looking for more. I thought as a wreath or even a garland. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou found some neat things for fall, Susie! Love the acorns and pumpkins and gourds. And the leaves are a nice touch for any fall decorating project. I hope you can find some more.
ReplyDeleteYou could make some more leaves....just go buy some burlap and use leaves to make a pattern. You could make all different kinds! Love the acorns. I quit decorating for fall because I cannot find our decorations amidst all the boxes. I've given up :-(

Susie,
ReplyDeleteThe acorns are sweet, and I love that little white pumpkin. The yearbook is a treasure. I'm so glad that you found that. I still have all my yearbooks, but they are in the garage from the move. I'll have to get them out and dust them off and look through them sometime. I bet it was fun seeing your brothers in there. Your home always says "welcome" Susie.
love,
~Sheri
Sheri, I think I'll save the yearbook for the next 4th of July family reunion and then give it to my oldest brother. He will like that. He quit high school and went into the army. Where he received 2 college degrees while he served our country. xoxo,Susie
