Yes, garden on ... I picked up this cute little tag at Horton's when I got my flowers yesterday.
I did get some containers planted. I do need some filler plants. Plus you all know I find some interesting sticks/twigs , and paint them some accent colors , then put them in my containers too.
I put the purple pansies with yellow and the orange with burgundy colors.
Ted did a great job mowing. Then he checked the oil in the mower, cleaned it up before putting back in the shed.
The day was mostly cloudy. The lawn service hasn't been here yet, I am calling them today.
After we finished all our chores yesterday. Got showers ,it was time for a reward. A small blizzard at the D.Q. ..well in Ted's case, maybe a medium blizzard. We had a good day.
Hope everyone has a great day. XO
It is really looking like spring at your house with mowing and plantings in place. Yep-waiting to see your painted sticks! Hope you have a great Wednesday. Next time you go to DQ have a oreo cookie blizzard for me, will ya? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDiana, One year we had some sticks , about the size of walking canes. Emma and I painted them to look like colorful snakes and put them in the gardens. LOL. She loved them and took two home for her dad's garden. Oh yes, those darn blizzards aren't a diet item, you know. LOL. Too bad, I could eat them everyday.:):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt looks beautiful there, Susie! Isn't it wonderful that winter is finally over! That Blizzard is making me hungry.
DeleteJudy, I am hoping to not see winter again till maybe Dec. LOL. It was nice enough to sit out today. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI like the Tropical Blizzard~ Your yard looks good. I hope to get to town and buy some plants today to plant in my pots. Don't do a lot of digging in the yard anymore, these old bones just won"t let me.
ReplyDeleteSylvia, Some times my old bones say, what were you thinking? LOL. I want to get my flowerbeds where they are less work...you know lots of mulch, less weeding. xoxo,Susie
DeleteAmazing lawn.
ReplyDeleteThank you, we are trying to stay on top of the crazy things in our lawn. I honestly think the lawn care people bring stuff in on their equipment...so it turns into a cycle.. Hope you are having a good day there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt sure looks like everything is moving nicely around your home with the flowers, grass and ice cream. Tomorrow we pick up lawnmower and of course that means cutting soon. I'm having a guy come in to aerate the lawn and then I will place all the necessary material for growth on my lawn. It's that time of year. Boy that ice cream sure looks good. Have a great day Susie. See ya.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Hi Cruising Paul, I see where our friend Bee is due to cruise soon. It would be nice if you could be on the same ship. You know aeration is something the lawn people want to do all the time...I do not think it's necessary every year. Some times if a person can not have a nice ice cream, maybe a frozen yogurt or sugar free ice cream will do. Blessings for a successful lawn this year Paul. xoxo,Susie
DeleteEverything is looking good in your yard/patio, Susie. Sometimes we splurge for a peanut buster parfait at DQ! Rainy here in GA today, too.
ReplyDeleteMildred, Those peanut buster parfaits are Ted favorite. LOL. We felt like we deserved a treat after our day of work. We are to have rain this evening. I just hope we do not get too much. Blessings for a great day there. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYup,I am definitely jealous of your green grass and flowers. Looks great tho! I will have to wait at least a month, until then I will enjoy your colors.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I was surprised how green things got in just a few warm days. I hope you will be able to garden soon. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSounds like a good day there! I haven't bought one plant yet- still too soon, but maybe this weekend! I am going to pick up a magnolia tree this year, too. I have always wanted one. Have a good day there- its sunny here now so clear skies are coming your way!
ReplyDeleteTete, I have wanted one of those magnolia trees also. But I planted a dogwood here once and it lasted one season...so I would like to try that again too. You'll be want to get out this weekend. I am hoping Emma will be here. I'll get her to help me paint things. :):) Bless you dear friend, xoxo,Susie
Deletekeep calm ..so cute..
ReplyDeletelove your flowers ..painted twigs ..oh a fun idea Susie(:)

hugs,Patty
Patty, I found some ncie stick in the yard today from our hickory tree. Just in time for the flower pots. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYaaay, Ted did a great job on the lawn. Susie, I am amazed every time I see your lawn. It's so green and groomed. You know, every once in awhile I will go to Dairy Queen and get a hot fudge sundae. They have the best there.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, Susie.
love, ~Sheri
Ted and I do those 5 dollars lunch at DQ once in a while. So handy. Yes, Ted did a fine job mowing. He's a hard worker around here. It takes us both to keep this place going. Hope you had a great day with some sunshine. Blessings dear one, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, everything looks just glorious! Oh my, just reading the word Blizzard...I want one now!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun week,
Nancy
Nancy, I need stay away from those blizzards...yikes. But boy are they good. Today was very nice but the wind was a bit fierce. I did sit on the porch to write letters. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Deletep.s. treat yourself to a mini blizzard...Ted says that is just enough to make him mad. LOL.
Hi Susie, Love your plants and your yard-your lawn is so green. Ours is just coming back from the winter; hopefully with the rain and slush we got today it will start to green up. Monday night I went out to get some frozen yogurt but the store was close, so went to DQ instead. Got hubby a salted caramel truffle blizzard and I just got an M&M one. Hope you have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteNoreen
Noreen,. It has been so nice to be outside the past two days. Today was very windy..but I sat on the porch and wrote letters. That was sweet of you to get your hubby a treat too. We love our fellows. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh, wow! A DQ reward is always a good thing!:-) xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a wonderful home. I remember a local Dairy Queen growing up. The guy who ran it looked a lot like a local cowboy kiddie show star Rex Trailer. In fact for a while I thought it was him.
ReplyDeleteNothing new on Beth yet.
