I Need To Ask...

    Wednesday evening it was a nice time. It has been cold around here lately.
 Friday morning, the sun was very bright and things look so green. The Japanese maple is leafing out.
 This is the front yard this rainy Saturday morning.  I must say our lawn is looking very thick and full. You can see it's a bit hazy out too.
 This week on BJ's blog she showed how she uses flowers that are  real and faux.  So I put the pink tulips  I got from hobby-lobby in a basket of greenery. My tablecloth has tulips on it also. This will work for a couple of weeks.
  Today , I need to ask all of you, my blog family and friends, for prayers and good wishes please.  Ted's brother  has been going through many tests at the local VA hospital.  The tests show that Ray has mesothelioma. It has spread to his bones. He will be seeing an oncologist this weekend .
It is stage 4. I had to get on line to understand how Ray could not have know he was this ill. It was written that stage 3-4 is when mesothelioma cancer is found, because it is so often misdiagnosed , as pneumonia or flu. We are almost in shock. This has come about so suddenly. Ray is married and has two grown children and two grandchildren.  I thank you for any kind prayers or thought for Ray and his family.

    p.s. I forgot to say how pretty your lawn looks. We've been here a year and our lawn is slowly looking better. The lawn co. treated it yesterday. You live in a beautiful area.

Ray had his exams at the VA hospital...which made me wonder about why he is stage four....but after I looked up mesothelioma, it was usually misdiagnosed...so it usually will be stage 3 or 4 before they find it...isn't that sad?     Susie, your yard is gorgeous and love those tulips. Think I need to get over to a Hobby Lobby for some silk flowers.
    I'm so very sorry to read about your Ray. I see the word mesothelioma mentioned, but I had no idea what it was. It's heartbreaking that it is diagnosed too late.

      Thank you Nonnie. Mesothelioma is a cancer brought on by exposure to asbestos. Ray has been a pipefitter and wielder in the construction field. He is to have another biopsy on Monday. Then we will know more. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    Oh Susie, I'm so sorry to hear this. I will definitely say a prayer for Ray. You and Ted must be devastated.

    I thought the pink tulips from Hobby Lobby were real at first. They look so bright and pretty in the basket. I really want to give you guys credit for maintaining such a beautiful lawn - I can't believe how pretty it looks, especially since it's such a large area to mow.

    I am in here getting caught up with you. So sorry about Ray- prayers for all of you in this. I know how fast life can change and how you scramble to do the best you can for those involved. Steve's brother called last week to let us know that he has MD- just diagnosed, but now he knows what's wrong with him and he said it was a relief knowing what it is. I will post on it later. 70s here this afternoon- I am so ready to thaw out!
