Fall Market At Horton's.....

I had a wonderful day Saturday....the entire day  !! I feel up lifted in my spirit even. Look what a glorious day . I parked on the east side of the courthouse.  They are still working on it...but stopped for the weekend.
The front windows of Horton's always  look inviting.
There were plenty of cute fall things to decorate our homes.
Outside venders had some great wares . Look at this old dining set. Gee this is the kind of table we grew up eating around. This booth had a bit of everything. The heat of the day made it  tough to stand outside much.
Back inside to look at their décor. Couple of cute birds
Back outside, LOL... look at these wooden pumpkins. Something cute to make with your children.
Big beautiful potted mums all over the store to take home. This would be my mom's favorite color. :)
There's a new sign out front announcing the fudge inside.
This fudge is made by the Horton's.  So many tasty flavors, cotton candy, peanut butter, pumpkin pie, maple walnut , and many more.
Sorry, I can't turn this ....I bought some fall cards, and a  fridge magnet. I am proud I did not buy any fudge. So tempting. Now today, I see it was a good thing I did not buy any...My daughter Karen brings over a fund raiser item I had ordered from my g.daughter Savannah...yes, it was chocolates. LOL
I had a truly great day with my daughter and some wonderful friends. I will save that for another post. :):)
Wow, it's hot here...been in the 90's, which for old ladies like me is about 125 degrees. :)  Staying in today and getting some chores done . I will do some letter writing later.  Enjoy this day and remember those in need of our good thoughts, prayers and donations. XO

  1. Hi Susie, I love your photos from Horton's and Autumn is my favorite season. Those fudge flavors sound very tempting. I am waiting until our temps get cooler before buying a pot of mums. God bless your afternoon. I am just returning to blogging after a long break.

Since the Earth Day Fest was going on in the town south of here, the Horton's decided to have a Market Day at their store. They are a wonderful family. It's always fun to go talk with townspeople. I love that pillow too. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

I was so proud that I resisted the temptation...then here comes my daughter over today bringing a box of pecan chocolate turtles that I had ordered from my granddaughter's fund raiser. LOL...what ?? I need to take those to a gathering for help in eating them. LOL. Or freeze till Christmas. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  8. I know a beautiful day can lift my spirits. Our dining table like that was turquoise and white. We enjoyed a lot of family meals around that table each day. Love the purple mums, but I don't have sny luck with mums. It's not here, too. I want Fall!

    1. Nonnie, I am trying to remember the color of the chairs to our dinette set. I think it was red. Some of us had to stand at the counter, to eat, as there were more kids than chairs. LOL I have to laugh about the mums...I can not say I have luck, they growing , but I am not a good mum gardener. They get too bushy. Our heat may break in a couple more days. Stay cool. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. I'm with you, Susie. Temps in the 80's with TN humidity feels like 108! I wish we had a Horton's near. Love this shop! I'm not doing well as resisting sweets these days and it's telling on me. Whew! I'm glad I dropped by.

    1. Bonnie, I think our humidity isn't as high as yours there in Tennessee. We will get a break here soon. My daughters did not stay long out in the heat , when they went to the Earth Day fest yesterday. They said it was crowded but way too hot. So they met up at the Angie's and called me over to join them . It was a great visit. Hope you are doing well. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. We always love a trip to Horton's...and they really have some beautiful Fall decor! We bought mums last week and they look so pretty at the front door. I hope they can take the heat...it's still HOT here but it's Florida so we expect it! And yes...I have 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. She's not so little though, she's a teenager! Enjoy your day! Hugs, Diane

  14. I really like that yellow section at Horton's. The table and chairs look so vintage. I remember my aunt having one like it growing up, and she had all kinds of baked goods on her table when I walked in her kitchen. Wow, look at all this fudge at Hortons's. I would have had to try the pumpkin pie fudge for sure. I bet you had a fun day shopping and seeing all the Fall goodies. I'm glad you still write letters and send them out, Susie. That's such a nice thing to do. I love getting hand written notes and letters, and I still send them out as well.

    love, ~Sheri

    2. Sheri, I knew many people would remember those dinette sets, they came in every color. Hardy old pieces of furniture too. The Horton's always pass out free samples of the fudge...They had one called orange dreamcicle. Yummy. I still love to write cards and letters. I even write to Emma once in awhile. I miss that girl. Blessings to you and yours, love, xoxo, Susie
