Happy Autumn.......

This is a flyer insert that was in the town's paper. It says that Needler's will now be the new name on our old Mash grocery. I am so thankful to this brother and sister team for buying our local store , to keep it up and running in our town. Julie and Michael Needler have grown up in the family own grocery business .
Tuesday, my daughter Kathy and I drove around our county taking pictures of farm land , schools and barns. This a soy bean field was  loaded with color, as the beans start changing.
This is the only barn picture I have left...I accidently took a photo in the car and as I was deleting it , I wiped out every picture I had taken the whole morning. YIKES !! Kathy gave me the dickens for doing any deleting before getting home to go thru my photos.  I took my camera along also and I can't  load photos on my files now that I had the computer worked on. What more ???
As you can see it was an overcast day Tuesday. It is looking more fall like as our temperatures soar back to the high 80's for a while.
My daughter Liz sent me a photo of her new door color mixed with her fall porch décor.  I am really liking that door. :):)
Some photos of our flowers here.
I some times make bouquets from them.
They are growing pretty full now.
This is one of my favorite colors of mums here.  I have some errands to do today and need to get busy.  Wishing a good day for all of you. Praying for  those effected by  the storms and the quake.
Do a good deed today. XO

    1. Thank you Betsy, for your kind words. There's a beauty of the country side when it's all fresh green with the crops growing. Then when the crops are getting ready for the harvest season, there's a rustic beauty in the coloring of autumn in the fields. I am seriously thinking of painting our front door a pretty color, after seeing how well my daughter's looks. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  2. I'm so sorry you lost photos, I've done that and it's so frustrating. but those you show here are so pretty. And I love your daughter's new door color! A green door is also in the plans for me when it gets cooler.

I love it when independent grocery stores don't close up. I like to support them.

I hope you have a nice weekend, Susie, with cooler temperatures soon. I think we have another week of near 90 temps and then we go into upper 70s, which will be so welcome.

    1. Dewena, My daughter and I are going to go around again and get more pictures. It was a fun time. I am so thrilled our grocery store was bought and will stay right here. We needed it. We are a small town and do have a dollar store, gas station stores and a meat market...but we need a good grocery with fair prices. This is good news for all.
This next 6 days are like dog days highs in the 80's to the mid 90's. Stay cool. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. I like your daughter's door, too!
The scenery here in Texas has not really turned to fall yet. Just a fading of the green with a few yellow leaves starting to show.
I'm surfing the net for news about Puerto Rico this morning. STill haven't heard directly from Summer....

Your daughter's front porch is really nice. I also like your photos of the colorful soy bean field, your place and oh my goodness, all those beautiful flowers. Mine are quite bedraggled.

    1. Nonnie, I hate when things just disappear into the stratosphere never to be seen by ourselves again. LOL. Someone in the universe may be reading or seeing it. LOL I thought that bean field would look like a quilt from above. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  7. You have mums! And the color is perfect for Fall, Susie. I think that's my favorite color of Mums. That's too bad that you lost your pictures, but I bet that was a nice drive in the country with Kathy. Liz' front porch looks so charming. I really like the color of her front door. Are those daisies, Susie? They're beautiful.

Have a terrific weekend. I'm doing last minute stuff for Jess' baby shower. : )

  8. I love your pictures, especially that soy bean field. So sorry you lost your pictures. I usually wait and download them, then get rid of what I don't want. Maybe that would work for you. Good news about your store. I'm glad it isn't closing down.

    1. Kathy, I thought that soy bean field would look like a quilt if you could see it from above. I think it would be fun to take a small plane trip...wish I could. I have the worse luck with loading and copying pictures. It's my lack of knowledge. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  11. Hi Susie, I'm sorry about your photos. I love taking drives in the fall. Your flowers are so pretty. When it cools down a bit here, I hope to get a few mums and a pumpkin or two. I don't decorate as much as I used to. Your daughters fall porch looks great and I love the color of the door!

    1. Cheryl, I do not do as much decorating either. It can become like work. So I normally just do decorating for the seasons and Christmas. I reuse so many of my things....most often I Spring I re-paint stuff. :) I was really proud of my daughters, Karen and Liz, they are twins, both painted their front doors and decorated. Well Karen paints the front door at her house and all the window trim . Some times that just makes a house look nicer. Blessings to you, hope you are doing well. xoxo, Susie

  13. Very nice shots. You live in a lovely area. You have a "good eye" as I have told. I was unaware of it. I just like taking pictures.
We don't have any markets around here that bear a family name. Bear? Is that correct use of the word? It can't be bare can it? What am I talking about? Have some more wine Paul!
