My Week...

No this is not my tree...oh how I wish it was, I'd be done. LOL. This is my daughter Karen's tree. She sets her tree up in the kitchen . They have a table for the kids to do homework there. They spend a lot of time in the kitchen. At least Karen does cooking and cleaning.
We have been having beautiful days like this about all week. Some have been windy, chilly but oh so pretty.

I will show a couple sunsets from this week. You know it's one of my favorite things to photograph.
This one thru the neighbor's apple trees.  We have had pretty blue skies through the day and fiery sunsets.
Okay, I must have lied...I normally don't Christmas shop for much. :):) But with great grandchildren, I did go shopping at Kohl's.  As I was typing this, OMG, I forgot Leo...now I will have to go back. I bought these PJ's at 1/2 off. Thank goodness otherwise it would have cost 90 dollars for these three sets. Yikes.  I do not spend like that.  These belong to Luke, Max and Layla.  I fear they are all too big. :(
A big lego type toy for Layla , one for Max and a musical giraffe for Luke. No deals here . I told Ted I have lost my knack....I would never have ever paid full price for toys before. I had no coupons for Kohl's and I never go shopping without coupons. What happened? Well live and learn , hopefully.
Wishing all a great weekend, filled with some fun. Be safe out on the roads. XO

    1. Laurie, I will have to go back to the stores and get baby Leo gifts...I completely forgot about him , till I laid out the PJ's and toys once I got home. I like our open spaces most times. When the wind is blowing hard, I always wish the woods around here were nearer. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Betsy. I love sky pictures. I think most of the activities at my daughter's is in the kitchen. When we visit, we are most likely around her table and having coffee. Karen's like me we have to use the decorations our kids made for the tree. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    2. I posted the tree on my blog yesterday :) I love seeing everyone decorations too! Did you see the Christmas DIY post? I decided to do the DIY and tree posts separately. The weather is supposed to be warm again today, but I think we're getting a cold front next week.

  7. What a wonderful idea to have the tree in the kitchen. Mother's sunny kitchen was my favorite room growing up. I know it was fun shopping for those adorable grandkids. Enjoy December!

    1. Karen, My daughter's kitchen is huge. She kept her little kitchen table for a homework/craft table. So the children could leave the books out while eating their dinner and be in the kitchen when Karen was cooking and cleaning up. Blessings to you, Susie

    1. Hi Missy, I love getting good sunset shots. I do not get the sunrise, because of the woods to the east . I often think , do I really want to put the tree up...then I do, because I remember wanting a tree and not having them every Christmas while growing up. I know there will come a day when it will be a tiny table top tree, then none. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  10. How wonderful to have the tree in the kitchen area for all to enjoy while working. Smart idea.
Isn't it fun shopping for the great grandkids... Our little Tristan loves PJ...hard to get him in clothes. HaHa Those buys at Khols are really cute.

    1. Wanda, Karen's kitchen is big and open, more than her living room. She used to put the tree on the closed in porch, then the living room, now it's the kitchen. They are in there a lot. I think my grands will have to grow into these PJ's I bought. They are way too big.LOL I will leave the tags on and the parents can return them, if they choose. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  11. Susie, sometimes I have coupons at home and forget to bring them, and many places grant me the coupon if they are still having the sale going on. You just have to ask, and of course, it depends on how nice the sales person is. What cute outfits for all the kids. Love that red plaid one. Karen's Christmas tree is beautiful. We're getting ours this weekend. Susie, I love the sunsets in your area and wide open roads. You take the loveliest sunrise and sunset pictures.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. I never even thought of asking about the coupons while there. Sheri, I will do that from now on. I always use my card for the extra points. Of course when the bill arrives, I pay it in full on the spot. I have told my children this is the way to shop...use the card for a month, then pay it in full. LOL. I am not sure any of them learn enough about finances from me. I do know for a fact they shop the sales racks first. LOL. Raising 4 daughters, I was always shopping sales. :) Blessings to you for a fun filled weekend. love you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Doris, I love living in town, but here in the country I do see more of the sunset and horizon. The sunrises come up over the woods down the road and it's late by then. Good luck getting your decorating done...I wish I had my girls back home when it's that time. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  13. Little ones steal our hearts and make us shop at stores we don't usually go into and spend money without coupons. But it's so worth it. Love those little pjs.
