We Celebrated....

Ted made 14 of these trays. He used wood we already had on hand.  I asked for the handle slots in the end.
I did get them all wrapped in time. We were having our Christmas gathering early this year.
Here's one little reason why.....baby Leo. Not everyone in the family had met him yet.
This is Rick and Margo , Leo's parents, they live in Cincinnati.  Margo has been our granddaughter since she was four years old. She is a beautiful girl. So sweet too. They are happy young parents.
Sierra (granddaughter) was home for a short trip from Florida. She was loving on the babies. Here she is with Luke.
Max was there and admiring aunt Angie's tree. His parents did not fully decorate their tree.LOL, we all know why....kids and pets are curious.
Leo is meeting Luke for the first time. He has one little mitten left on his hand , to keep from scratching their sweet faces.  Leo has lots of hair too.  :):)
Karen and her babies came. Wish I had gotten her husband , Jeff's  photo too. I just did not get the pictures I wanted too. It was a pretty hurried time.  Angie's family was scheduled for family photos on her in-laws side. So for everyone to get together at once, we had a quick brunch. Unwrapped gifts to each other. Then went on to other gatherings. Kathy came out here, to be with Ted and I. I found her a vacuum cleaner, I had in the basement. She needed it. Thank goodness, I had not thrown it out or given it away.
Early last week, Liz , Matt, and Emma went to a live Nativity scene.  Liz beside a camel. You would not catch me that close.....don't they spit like llamas?? eewwweee. Emma got to see dwarf animals. How cute is this burro.  She enjoyed seeing the animals. She is just like Liz was when she was younger, she loved animals too. I will finish this post. For some reason, I am having difficulties trying to blog.
Tomorrow is class party for my daughter's class, I'll try to get photos and post tomorrow.  Wishing all of you a great week. XO

I wish I had a photo of me with all the little fellows. Max has been taking me by the hand, I do not mind telling you Pilar, It just melts my heart. Wishing a fabulous week till Christmas, then all the joy you want. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Laurie. I loved my time with my daughters and grands. All the family was there but two grands and their families. One son in law worked. So we will be seeing them later. We have to share family time ...since it's growing bigger and bigger. I use to tease my mother about the big family she helped to bring into the world. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, Ted did not want to make trays again, since he made then two other times....but each is different. This one with the slots at the end is easy to handle. I love the trays to help contain things , on shelves and cabinets. My girls use everyone of them. Now the grandkids are getting some of Ted's crafts. Yes, we will be getting together with Angie's family again. I will see her tomorrow at school. I love that time, so much. Wishing you great joy while Christmas approaches. I know your family time will be filled with love, the greatest gift of all. Blessings to you and LD, love you both, xoxo, Susie

  5. I love trays too. You are so correct, they do help contain things :) To be given a handcrafted one is a treasure!
It's a challenge to get large families together. Ours is growing but most of the Grands are still young. Someday it won't be Christmas Day that we get together and I'll be ok with that. Thanks for sharing your day!
    Merry Christmas!

    1. Doris, This was the first year we have celebrated so early. I do understand it ...when people marry they have two families and that changes things. Then their kids marry...making more families. I will take what time I can with the children. Blessings to you home for a beautiful Christmas, xoxo, Susie

  7. I think you did a great job of getting most everybody in the pics. What a beautiful family you have and those precious babies. Oh my. Heaven! The trays your Ted made are really nice. I love a gift that someone has gone to the trouble to make for me and always wish there was something I could come up with to make that they would enjoy and keep.
It's kind of hard to keep up with blogs when you have so much going on. Merry Christmas, Susie.

    1. Nonnie, I just want to hug everyone in my family when we are together. Ted did a good job on the trays, used up some scraps of lumber we had in the shop. The children seem to love the things he makes for them. When he sees it in use in their homes, he smiles. Hope you and your family can have some special times thru the Christmas season. I do love seeing your pictures of the grands at your house. They love coming over. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. What a wonderful, but hurried, Christmas you had, Susie. It is nice to see all those faces together. Too bad people had to hurry off but that it the way it is with in-laws and outlaws. lol

    1. Some times it is tough Diana, but this is the first time we have ever celebrated so early. Angie told me yesterday the picture session only last about 40 minutes. So we could have stayed and they would have come back home for more party fun. But it worked out . As we age as mothers we know what it mean to try to make all the family gathering and make them pleasant. So we try to accommodate. Teddy did a fine job on the trays . He just tickles him when he sees the kids using the things he makes. Wishing you a smooth time into the holidays. Blessings to you my friend, love, xoxo, Susie

    1. Cher, It makes Ted happy to see how much the children love his woodwork. He used up some spare lumber we had left-over from other projects. So it was right here in the shop. I love my family time. It's good to see everyone, get into some conversations with the young people and get hugs. Wishing you a Merry Christmas with your loved ones. xoxo, Susie

That is a cute picture of Liz and the camel. Yes, she's a brave one getting that close.
