Oh dear, dear, it's Luke...Apparently he does care for the Jolly Old Man at all. Max isn't looking none too happy himself. I just received this photo I will get the story soon.
The boys aunt Emma , when she was small adored Santa. Of course she is holding a candy cane too. :):)
My sister Pam and I , just loved our time with Santa, about 5 years ago. LOL. My first Santa visit ever. Although once I saw a Santa walking down the street and I rolled the car window down and yelled that I wanted "diamond" earrings. LOL That was a hundred years ago. Or so it seems.
Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas , filled with joy. XO
My kids all hated Santa. We have the saddest photos. That is cute of you and Pam. Have a great weekend!ReplyDelete
Thank you Karen. My sis and I loved the photo.I have it in a frame just for this holiday. When I see kids so sad on Santa's lap..it makes me want to cry, I must be a softy. Christmas blessings to you dear Karen. I hope you get to be with your loved ones. xoxo, SusieDelete
I think many children are scared of Santa...or Father Christmas, as we call him in England. Could be the beard ?ReplyDelete
Love the pictures.
Merry Christmas dear friend.
Jo, My favorite Christmas Carol is the musical, where they sing of Father Christmas. I wanted to cry myself, after seeing Luke so sad. :( Blessings for the best Christmas ever, xoxo, SusieDelete

Paul, My sister and I went to the photographers(Our niece and her bff) The other girl's dad was Santa. I had never had a picture with Santa, sis and I laughed about how good he smelled and we told him we loved him. LOL. That is why we are laughing so hard. We were too big for his lap. LOL. Being raised poor, I never believed in Santa. I knew I surely was not so bad as to never get but one wee gift. :) Was I ?? LOL Blessings to you and yours for the best Christmas. I think you'll have snow. xoxo, SusieDelete
p.s. Praying your New Year is all good health and happiness.

Kris, I just wanted to cry when I saw Luke's face. Max doesn't like for Luke to cry, he always tries to soothe him. He's a sweet brother. Here's our snow dear friend. Hope it melts soon. LOL. Merry Christmas to all of you. xoxo, SusieDelete
p.s. thank you to you, your daughter(nurse) the fire fighter husband of yours and hers. Heroes.
So cute about you yelling your request to Santa from your car! lolReplyDelete
As Karen says above in her comment, her children never cooperated with Santa for photos! I don't recall ever visiting Santa myself.
Susie, I appreciate your blog friendship very much. It is a delight to visit with you. May the Lord richly bless you and yours this Christmas. xo
Mildred, It paid to yell at Santa , I did get the earrings, they were small but real. I have no idea where they are now. I may have given them to my oldest daughter. Your sister said her children didn't like Santa , those times make for sad photos. That was my first visit to Santa, we just loved him. We still laugh about how good he smelled. Not like cookies, but like D&G cologne.Delete
Mildred, I have always loved blogging with you. You have a kind heart. Every Christmas of my very childish days, I remember begging in my prayers, for toys, clothes, or food...as I aged I knew that the real gifts in live is love, friends ,and family...and when it's all together is the best gift ever. I am truly blessed. Wishing you and your husband the best Christmas and a new year of good health and happiness. xoxo, Susie
Hi Susie, such a beautiful post making special memories visiting Santa! I remember visiting with my dad as a child and really enjoying it. This became our yearly tradition together. Pics were always taken and when he passed away I found the last one from 3 years old in his wallet. He carried it the rest of his life.ReplyDelete
Thank you for visiting my once a month post and your kind comment. It was a blessing to see you. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and many blessings in the new year xo
That is so sweet your father carried that picture. That is a sweet memory. Wishing you a joyous Christmas. xoxo, SusieDelete
Those trays Ted made....very very nice! I am enjoying seeing your fun family pictures and your holiday decorations. Yep...the traditonal Santa pictures...often so funny, LOL You never know how kids will do, especially the babies first time. Hope your Christmas holidays are coming along nicely--ReplyDelete
Debbi, Ted is very good in his wood working. We have made gifts every year for the children. Trays, salt/pepper grinders, photo boxes. Poor babies should not have to sit with Santa. Too sad. Blessings for a Merry Christmas. xoxo, SusieDelete
Hi Susie! Happy Christmas to you, too!ReplyDelete
Thank you honey, wishing you and yours the same. It sure came quickly. Bless you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Merry Christmas, Susie! Love all the Santa pictures. My sister and I went to see Santa every year from the time we were born until we were about 9 and 10. I always had a small smile on my face and my sister was always crying. LOL. The last picture I had taken with Santa I was in my 30s. Santa asked me what I wanted and I said a Porche. Ha, ha. He told me that was too expensive. Fun memories.ReplyDelete
Kathy, I did get the earrings. LOL, small but nice. It's nice you have photos of your Santa days. Merry Christmas to you and Joe, bless you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Awww...poor little baby!!!! I never saw Santa until I was a grown up-living on a farm in the mountains- I guess Santa stayed down in the towns. lolReplyDelete
Great pictures- love the last one!!! How funny about yelling out the window at Santa.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, Susie- Love you lots! xo Diana
Diana, I felt like crying when I saw Luke's picture. Hey, I got those earrings, they were small but nice...now I have no idea where they are. LOL. Thank you Diana, Merry Christmas to you, my special new friend. We will have to get together after all this nasty weather. It's snowed all day here...not too deep just but it will make holiday travel tricky. Enjoy all the hugs and kisses from your beautiful grandchildren. Bless you with love, xoxo, SusieDelete
Poor Luke! Not a happy little guy with Santa. I'm sure as the years go by Luke will come to appreciate our friend in the red suit. Hope your holiday was merry. Stay cozy!ReplyDelete
That was SO cute of the kids and I love the one of you and Pam and Santa. I've never visited Santa in my life. All those larger-than-life characters always scared me. :-) Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Susie!ReplyDelete

Susie, I love all these pictures of the kids and Santa and you and your sister. It reminds me of a time when me and my mom sat on Santa's lap. Emma was such a beautiful baby. And that picture of the boys is a treasure. Oh, so many memories, Susie. And more good times to come in the new year.ReplyDelete
