Angie and I took a day to be together on her spring break . She was ready. We ate lunch at Chili's.
Angie absolutely loves chips and salsa. I think she would make a meal of this.
I ordered the lunch special...pick two. I order house salad and something called Fresh Mex Mix Bowl....For some reason I thought it would be like a taco mix.
When it came to the table ...it looked like a salad with chicken on top. I told Angie...now you know I would not order two salads..how crazy would that be? and I am not that crazy. LOL Angie ordered salad and soup. The bean soup tasted like mashed pork-n-beans(not good). So Angie and I ate the chicken off that Mex bowl. and some of the crispy bites. Then when I was ready to leave , I stirred the bowl and I'll be darn, there was rice, beans and corn under the salad topping. I wish our waitress had told me what was in this bowl, when she knew I ordered salad. LOL Oh well we had plenty to eat and I brought home the left over chips.
We went to Kohl's with 30 % off coupons...love that. Then to Walmart. Actually Angie missed her turn and I said, "would you mind going to Walmart so I can get some Brita Filters?" She said ok. While in Walmart , I got coffees, parmesan cheese, and my filters. Angie bought groceries, tops, vitamins...we laughed about her wrong turn costing her $130. :):) It was a wonderful time with my daughter. Now the spring breaks are over around these parts. But we will be celebrating Easter as a family and that will be great.
Wishing all of you a blessed Easter. XO
you always have the best time where ever you go,, you are such an inspiration as how life should be lived!

ReplyDeleteMildred, I sure would not have ordered a dish so similar to a salad, haha. But with the chucnks of chicken on top and my house salad and those chips, I truly had plenty of lunch. So did Angie, because she helped me eat the chicken...and that girl ate a ton of chips. :):) Hugs to you for Easter. xoxo, Susie

I hate when you go to a restaurant thinking you are getting something and having it not meet your expectations. Next time you will know.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a very sweet, blessed Easter, Susie. xo Diana
Eating out is always fun! I came by to with you a happy happy Easter! Hope you have a lovely day filled with love, faith, family and good food! It's supposed to be almost 80 here tomorrow, so it will be a near summer day, I am going to so enjoy that. Today was so sunny and mild, with a slightly cool breeze dancing around all day and temps in the 70s, I spent most of the day inside cooking goodies for tomorrow's lunch and supper but did venture out into the yard for a walk about and Mr. Front Porch was raking up the last of the leaves and the dogs were having a good game of "chase!".
ReplyDeleteOnce again Susie I want to thank you for all your kind words. I appreciate all your visits.
ReplyDeleteThat must be a treat for you to spend time with your daughter.
If you ever came up this way I would love to take you, of course Arlene would be there as well, to Raso's or better yet to the North End in Boston for a truly wonderful Italian meal then to the Od North Church which is right there when you walk out of one the many restaurants there.
A day with a daughter is just the very best...:)
