Sara (Emma's bestie) and Emma...trying to get into spring break mode. LOL. What are you girls drinking? I told Liz, the girls need to open their eyes at least. :):)
They went to Bush Gardens on one day, still not very warm. Who wants to go on spring break to Florida and wear jackets? Not these two.
Here's my long legged gazelle, Emma, wearing her jacket and no shoes on the beach. I see she has her instant camera from last birthday.
Two young 14 year olds walking in the cold waters . I loved seeing their long pony tails blowing in the wind. Emma is the tall one.
Finally !!! A sunny warm day. The same two girls in their swimsuits jumping on the beach. at sunset. I love this shot. I know they arrived home today. So hopefully they had many warm days in the sunshine before it was over.
More gloomy rainy days here....ending this afternoon and coming back tomorrow. Gee I see that March is near the end ...so praying April will be our real spring. Good Friday is forecasted to be nice , rain on Saturday and maybe drying by Sunday (Easter) Hope so. Have a great Wednesday. XO
Good Morning Susie, I have my cup of coffee and I decided to catch up with friends here in blog land. Your family's trip brought back memories of when we went many many years ago. The day we visited Busch Gardens we got caught in a downpour. It didn't last long. I have enjoyed reading your other post. I always like your visit to Horton's. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend Shirley
ReplyDeleteShirley, I like thinking back to fun times with my own daughters...so it makes my heart happy to see my grands enjoying some break fun. Hope you get to enjoy the grandsons activities. They sure keep busy. Blessings to you my sweet friend, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie....Spring Break...what welcoming words. I see the kids in our neighborhood have next week.
ReplyDeleteLove the beach...don't get there too often. But yesterday my dearest put on a CD of ocean waves and seagulls. That my ocean trip today. HaHa.
You have a beautiful family. So full of love.
Wanda, Some times I am not sure when break is for some neighboring communities, they do not all break at once. But my three still in school all go the same school. I am happy they got to go away for some fun. Thank you for the kinds words. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThose are great pics! I’m shocked at how fast Emma has grown up! That last photo of the girls jumping on the beach deserves to be printed and framed!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Emma's legs are so long...she's taller than me now and catching up to her mother. Her dad is 6" 3"...so she may be a giant. LOL. I have some wonderful pictures I need to make into prints. That would be cute framed. Blessings to you, xoxo, Love you,Susie
DeleteWhat a fun Spring Break! It looks like they had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeletePilar, I want to be a kid again...well sometimes. LOL. I always pray that children know how very lucky they are to have loving parents and chances to go on vacation. Once our parents took all us kids in daddy's old mercury to Tenn. Our fast food lunch was sitting by the roadside eating sliced spam sandwiches and a stack of celery...but oh how I would love to be doing that again. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou can' depend on the weather anywhere these days
ReplyDeleteCan't.
ReplyDeleteMissy, I feel our weather patterns are all jumbled. I am done with winter, but it just keeps popping back up.LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
Deletebeautiful blue skies and lot's of sunshine!! we have visited florida this time of the year and we have experienced both cold temperatures some years and very warm on others. love that last picture of the girls jumping!!!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, It's funny when people would ask me , "where is your tan?" after a vacation in February. Doesn't always happen to be warm enough to sit on the beach. LOL. I just hope my grandgirl and her friend had enough fun to get them thru the next few months of school. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful girls + Beautiful sunsets = a beautiful time!! Love those pictures. Regardless of the weather, it's all about girl bonding and memories and by the looks of things, memories were definitely made!
ReplyDeleteOur family vacations as kids involved hiking and camping where you carry your own backpack with all your gear, hike up a mountain and sleep in a tent eating freeze dried food and the best homemade venison jerky. It was the best time. My idea of camping now is in our camp trailer with a fire place and a couch haha. Some would call it glamping !
Saimi, I look at my two youngest granddaughters and pray they know how very blessed they are. I want them to soak up all the fun and love of their youth. I kind of like camping too. I love the evergreen tree smell of the woods. When my girls were young , our trip involved hikes and exploring small towns. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLove the last photo! Florida is a great place to go but it has it's days of not so much fun weather, also.
ReplyDeleteSylvia, I have been to Florida when it was warmer back here. LOL. I am just so happy they finally had some sun and fun at the beach. Those girls are so young, I do not know if they appreciate the special time. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful beach photos even if it was cooler than perfect! It has been much lower temps than usual for lots of us. The photo of the girls jumping is just WONDERFUL! You can feel their joy! Wishing you a wonderful Easter! And, spring to come soon! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteTanna, I want to frame that picture of the girls jumping and give both of them a copy. Wow to be so young.LOL I just wish I had their good feet. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat precious photos....hope they frame these! Yes, it's a tad cool in the sunshine state! Happy Easter Susie!
ReplyDeleteBesty, I am glad the girls finally had fun and sun at the beach. Hope they remember it always. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteEven with a jacket on the beach it's still nicer than this dirty snow that's lingering here, Susie!! Hope everyone arrived home safe and sound!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, you are right a bad day at the beach beats a good day of a winter that won't quit. LOL. Yes, they are all safe at home and soon back to school. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful girls! Glad they got a warm day to enjoy the beach. Cold beaches are no fun.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Oh Lisa, me too. To be so young and full of energy, those girls are blessed and I pray they know it. Our grandgirl Emma is growing up and I rarely get enough time with her. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi there Susie, yes, Bindie is our dog, we adopted her this month and she is bringing me so much joy. We can't "replace" our sweet Gypsy, and I will miss her and long for her forever--but opening my heart to a new pack member is bringing me joy and smiles and helping me to heal, as well as having our sweet Tammie with us. I love these fun pictures especially the ponytails on the beach one, so fun! that last pic of them on the beach, think it was sunset---the colors are so beautiful, I would enlarge that one and frame it for sure! The weather here is so so nice right now and Easter Sunday is supposed to be sunny and in the 70s, so happy to hear that. EAster is my favorite holiday, what is yours?
ReplyDeleteSusie- I am going to try to send a comment again. It came back that it didn't post. So Weird!
ReplyDeleteAnyway- Great pictures of all of the kids/grandkids. I know they are all a blessing to you...and I know you love them like I love my own.
Happy, Blessed Easter, Susie. Love to you- xo Diana
Pretty beach pictures and I'm glad the girls had a little warm sunshine at least. Love their silhouettes on the beach photo. Sending love and wishes for a blessed Easter. Thank you for your friendship thru blogging. xo
ReplyDeleteI'm itchy for some flip flop weather. It's chilly here.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter!
Wanted to make sure I came by and wished my dear friend a Happy Easter!
