Granddaughter Lynzie brought Luke and Max, to her mom's to have lunch with us.
I get to cuddle them over the back of the sofa. They are becoming quite the handful.
Lynzie takes their shirts off, so they eat in their t-shirts with bibs.. LOL. Luke looks happy to be in his chair.
Liz enjoying Luke before nap time.
Max entertained us with his rendition of Jerry Lee Lewis after lunch.
Then Luke and Max played a duet. Which drove the men outdoors. LOL
Emma came home from school later. She wanted me to hold her snake for a picture. It's a ball python, only a baby. I told her it would make a lovely belt. She laughed and said, "Oh nana stop." It has the most amazing glass cage. Very sturdy. Hope it only gets big enough to be a belt.
Liz made the nicest lasagna for lunch and Ted's favorite dessert, banana pudding. Brock got to come join us for lunch, but not his Emily and Layla, for Layla was sick.
Liz put things away and I washed everything down. Then we played with the boys and got them to nap while Lynzie got to go to the salon. I know I do not need to tell all of you that I slept like a baby last night. Wow, handling children that young for this old girl was exhausting. :):)
Wishing all a safe happy weekend. Enjoy your life. XO
Oh, Luke and Max are adorable! Bless their little cotton socks! (I got that expression from England!) No wonder you slept so well afterwards! :-)ReplyDelete
Tell them to get another snake, I am in need of a belt myself. Wait, who am I kidding, I NEVER wear a belt, HA!
Kay, What a cute saying. I forgot to ask Emma what she named her snake. She did say it will get bigger...I said them maybe a nice purse of shoes. LOL. I told her he cost too much to waste. LOL I think she also thought I would be afraid to touch it. IT just felt like it was plastic. Cool and slick...not slimmy, like some people think. Oh sweetheart, I do not wear belts either. ;):) Blessings, hope it's getting pretty there. xoxo, SusieDelete
What a great day with your family. I love seeing the sweet littles. They are so adorable.ReplyDelete
You are brave to hold the snake!!! Have a great weekend. xoxo
Kris, I truly enjoyed my time with everyone. But I just was very tired when I returned home. Lynzie dresses them like twins. She's a good mommy, makes me so proud. I am hoping this weekend gives us a hint of spring. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
It looks like you had an amazing time with your family Susie! Lovely pictures! Have a great weekend!ReplyDelete
Pilar, Older people can not keep up all the time ...but I sure try. I loved my time with the little fellows. Hugs and talking, hearing them laugh and chatter. But oh boy that crying..eeee. So I try my best to comfort or entertain them. LOL. Hope your weekend is a great one. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
It looks like you had a wonderful day with the grand kids! Look on the bright side, at least you didn't have to shovel snow. Wet, heavy snow.ReplyDelete
Boston Boy, Wet snow is dangerous..it takes a long time to clear it out. Hope you are safe and well. We have luck out here. I have only shoveled three time this year. I just keep thing about the work that needs done to restore power in the northeast. Those fellows are heroes. Blessings to you and Arlene, xoxo, SusieDelete
What a fun day with the boys, they are getting big !ReplyDelete
I'm not a lover of snakes, after working in the veterinary field I learned how they carry disease, and wouldn't want them around my home.
I'm smiling at the piano duet, sweetness.
Have a wonderful weekend Susie.
Jo, I like that the boys were interested in the piano and wanted to hear each note...because Max played each all the way down the scale.LOL oh yes, I washed my hands as soon as I was done with that snake handling. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Aww...they are sooo cute.ReplyDelete
One of my grandsons was so into snakes when he was little..I have lots of stories...and I held one too and stopped breathing while doing it..haha
I guess that's why one has children while you're young..Cute kids..busy I'm sure ..Have a great weekend..ReplyDelete
Oh Missy, I could not even imagine having a child late in life.LOL My mother had our baby brother at 37. It is tiring, no matter how much you love holding them. :) How our new week brings us some sunny days. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
These are precious moments. except for the snake part. eeesh!ReplyDelete
Lisa, I laughed and even wanted to cry when I was with the boys. I get sad if they cry, even though I know they are not hurting....just tired crying. I am hoping that snake do not last very long. Honestly, I was upset with my daughter buying it for Emma....but Liz has always like frogs, toads, snakes, cats dogs, and even catching bugs in a jar. Emma makes me think of Liz in her youth. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I hope you washed your hands before eating, after handling that snake!!! LOL! Yikes! Maybe I need to chase after those babies so I would sleep through the night! Hortons Spring open house coming up!ReplyDelete
Cindy, Oh yes indeed, I washed my hands. I know that they have germs...the snake that is not the boys...then again, boys can get into way too much. LOL Let's meet at Horton's when they have spring market. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
p.s. yes, that dentist is very cute.
Darling kids! I guess not everyone appreciates budding pianists Lol. We get the same at our house. One old upright piano all the littles are allowed to play and the other piano they're not. It's so fun to have the kids around isn't it! Have a wonderful weekend, Susie.ReplyDelete
Judy, Glad your grands like the piano too. I was laughing at the boys , when the first pounding moves were done...Max playing each key all the way down the board so very softly. He does love music.:):) Up early with the time change. Blessings for a wonderful new week. xoxo, SusieDelete
You are such a good Nana and Mom, too! I love how much you love your family and how much they love you.ReplyDelete
Ummm...if they need any snake holders up here I will have them call you!
Love to you, Susie- Hope you have a great weekend. xo Diana
Diana, When I was young, I was so caught up in just getting my kids raised..now that I am older, I can enjoy all of them more. That snake was pretty but I hope he doesn't get any bigger. Hope we all have a beautiful new week. Blessings to you, love, xoxo, SusieDelete
I feel the same way after just Madelyn leaves. She is 15 months and exploring every drawer and cabinet and room. Forget the basket of toys I have! Gosh, your kiddos are so sweet looking, Lynzie is a doll. And you, my lady, look so happy and friendly. I would love to meet you this summer!ReplyDelete
Blondie, We truly love every moment with the grands...they are tiring if you lift, carry or crawl on the floor with them. LOLDelete
I hope we meet one day. I think I would know you instantly. Blessings for a great new week. xoxo, Susie
What fun pictures of your darling family. Those boys are so cute. I miss having little ones in our family....all grown up ..perhaps some new great grandkids since we have a few more married grandchildren now. I can wish!!ReplyDelete
Wanda, When I watch my granddaughter tend to her boys, I just have to pitch in and help...it seems so much to do. I often wonder if she ever sits thru a whole meal and gets it ate before it's cold. Remember those days? It can be exhausting. I always help out when I can. Oh once those greatgrands start coming you will be surprised and in love. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
How well I know the exhaustion in taking care of little ones. I live with three grandchildren....the youngest is almost 3. By evening of my childcare days I'm ready to head to our lower level living room's recliner!! Loving life with them, for sure.ReplyDelete
Holding a snake....no way, never. Couldn't do it!
Doris, I feel drained for you. I love children to pieces and will help out anyway with them...but it's tiring for me now.So out of practice. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, SusieDelete
What a fun day! I would not mind a dish of that dessert. :-)ReplyDelete
You can keep the snake. LOL
Carla, It was a fun tiring day...but I loved it. Liz did send some lasagna and banana pudding home with us. Ted was loving that. LOL Oh that dang snake. It's pretty but I truly hope it doesn't last so long it gets big and scary. Oh I washed my hand after holding it . Over Liz's I wash my hands a lot, cats, dog, kids. LOL Blessings xoxo, SusieDelete
Your grands are adorable. xo LauraReplyDelete
Laura, The babies are such a sweet blessing and a big handful. LOL I love being with them, so I help tend to them so their mom gets a breaks , she is always so thankful. Blessings to you for some sunny days this coming week. I am ready for spring. :) xoxo, SusieDelete
Hi Susie, Luke & Max are so darling. That banana pudding sounds delicious! We have rain this weekend. I hope you will enjoy your Sunday. MildredReplyDelete
Thank you Mildred. Hope you are doing well. I love getting time with the little boys. My daughter Liz is a very good cook. She makes the best lasagna . Ted said he loved the banana pudding also. We had a sunny weekend, although it actually was very cold. I loved the sunshine. Blessings to you, xoxo, love, SusieDelete
What a joy to get to cuddle with those sweet boys. They look so precious in those plaid shirts. That's super that you had dinner prepared for you. Sweet. I miss having babies these days, but I have to admit the older kids at least don't have to be carried anymore. Although I miss that too. You don't look like an old gal! You're pretty brave holding that snake.ReplyDelete
Nonnie, I know you love all your sweet grandchildren too. I loved just having a nice lunch with all the kids that could make it. Work schedules for young families has a lot to do with time spent together. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Luke and Max are cuter by the day. You are a brave woman to hold the snake, braver than I am! Be on the lookout for your package. I made it to the post office Friday and dodged tomorrow's storm.ReplyDelete
Hi Carol, I love my family time. I feel there never enough days to play and enjoy the little ones. So it always seems they have grown more when we do get together. Thank you for the gift. Hope you got supplies while you were out and about...there's another storm that looks even bigger coming. Please be safe. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
I love how Lynzie puts matching flannels on the boys. She always dresses them so cute. This picture of you with the boys is wonderful, Susie, and a sweet picture of Max playing the piano. I got to see Francesca for four days this weekend as well, and I carried her a lot. My back was starting to hurt a little, but it was so worth it. These little ones bring so much joy to our lives. We are very blessed, Susie.ReplyDelete
Sheri, Lynzie dresses the boys just alike most times. I swear Luke seems to be catching up to Max. I am so glad you got to be with your sweet baby girl too. We are blessed . I know you are excited to be getting another baby girl soon. Blessings, xoxo, love you, SusieDelete
She's got a job running after those little cutie pies. That's why we have them when we're young, LOL.ReplyDelete
Connie, If I could help Lynzie chase those boys more often I could lose some weight. LOL. They are already a handful and Luke is just starting to crawl. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Hi there Susie, glad you stopped by and MERCY yes!--it's exhausting these days to care for the little ones, I guess that's why we have them when we are young, strong, and limber! LOL Yes Charleston is a very very dog friendly city and yes we have the scoop rules and I've only seen maybe one person not clean up after their pet, we all just automatically do it, it's just part of walking your dog. I'm sure it does help keep our pretty city clean because who wants to go out in a park or on a sidewalk for a nice walk and step in nasty poo? ha ha ha LOl Hope you're doing well!ReplyDelete
P.S.--I loved the fun family pictures!ReplyDelete
Debbi, So funny...went to visit with my daughter on Saturday. Her town has receptacles with poo pick up bags and a container to throw it into all in one. :) Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
You're braver than I am. I'm scared of snakes.ReplyDelete
Luke and Max are adorable.
Angela, My mom was afraid of snakes...but then she was raised around rattlers, copperheads and water moccasins. I have only seen black snakes and garter snakes in the wild here. Oh yes, I love my sweet grandbabies to pieces. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
They are precious! Lucky you!ReplyDelete
Thank you Kelleyn. I know I am so blessed with these grandbabies. Blessings to you , xoxo, SusieDelete
