The Barber of Fifth Avenue...

Here's the barber in the window. He was waving to us. No one is in the chair. I think it looks inviting. I have an uncle who's been a barber for over 40 years and drives a school bus too.
This is the theater that was just across the street from our hotel in NYC. The Barrymore was showing the musical Chaplin. We stayed at the Edison Hotel. I checked the beds for bugs, and there was no bugs or bug poop. The news told people how to look for the little rust looking spots (poop) or blood spots on the matteress.I even checked the box springs and around the headboards....yes, I know it's gross but you can't be too careful.
Here's the job that amazes me. Window washers. I am sure they see some interesting sights. I am appreciating all the comments about my trip to NYC. Honestly if I had taken all my memory sticks I would have way more photos.:):)

  1. I agree about the bed bugs. My neighbor stayed in a 5 star hotel in San Francisco and was nearly eaten alive and the hotel refused to do anything about it. They said it was a fact of life. I love New York City. So glad you enjoyed your trip.

  5. Susie: It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it and I'm glad you did. I don't stay in hotel/motels often, but when I do, that's the first thing I look for. Great pictures of interesting everyday things that we don't always take time to notice..Sounds like you had a good trip..Happy Wednesday..Judy
