It's Melting....

The snows are finally melting. It's going to be a messy week in Indiana. The snows are melting, rain is predicted, and the ground is still frozen. That means some flooding. Which is the thing I hate most about fluctuating temperatures in winter. Then there's the refreeze, making things slick. The birds have been eating lots lately, poor things. I am dying to get out with my new camera and get some decent pictures. I am not really a snow person, so taking pictures of snow is boring for me. I know there are people out there that love it and do very well with their pictures. Not me.
I may start on packing things up for the local second hand stores...Goodwill, Salvation Army, and one in our town, Second Blessings. I have lost a wee bit of weight, not eating sugars. It's not easy. Hope everyone has a great day and wonderful week.xo

  1. Can't wait to see the pictures from your new camera. Congrats on the weight loss. It's melting in Ohio as well. Stay safe on the ice.

  2. Still a little here..melting today. Friday I am headed east to 1515 so glad the temp will be in the 60's!

  3. Hi Susie- It is still cold here- no melting yet. I do not like the snow either and can hardly wait for Spring once Christmas is over.
Hope you have a great day and congrats on the sugar...that's a hard road, isn't it? xo Diana

  4. what fun a new camera can bring!!!Spring is coming, it will be here before we know, hang in there!

  5. Our snow is melting too and it may even hit 50 here this weekend!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  6. No snow at all for us, but I do know how nasty it can be when it starts melting in this cold weather. I'm glad you like your new camera, maybe you can get some shots of the birds.

    Have a great week, Susie!

  7. Our snow is melting too and that pleases me so much. lol I am not a snow/ice person.

  8. Oh, I hear you, Susie! I am NOT a snow person either!!! It's warming up here in Michigan too.
Good for you, losing some weight! After the holiday season, I have to get serious and lose a few pounds myself.
Enjoy the weather change...it won't last long..after all, it's winter.

  9. I'm a bit south of Indy ... will be GLAD to see the snow all melted & gone ;)

  10. Congratulations on the "wee bit" lost!

Our weather has been rather mild, though we've had some frosty mornings.

    Hope you enjoy that camera!

    xo Nellie

  11. Susie,
Pack up that SNOW and send it here to the Prairie!!! We are brown...that's really getting old!!!
I love SNOW!!! I'm sending you a link of some photos I took during o ur last 1.5 inches of SNOW! EnJOY your new camera, everyday!!!

  12. Good for you with the sugar. I keep thinking that's what I need to do. we are in for a ton of rain here-don't know what's worse-probably the snow,

  13. So what type of new camera did you get? We are getting a slight thaw after a huge snowfall....lovely. And then it's getting super cold again.

Winter pics are just as fun, you just have to find something inspiring.

  14. Congrats on the weight loss.. I hope it doesn't get to bad for you.. We are having above average temps as well and an epidemic of Flu is hitting our little neck of the woods.. I don't have it yet but I have Larangitis.. Sorry I haven't been around to much lately..You take care..

  15. I want a good snow, at least one time, but then I'm not the one who has to get out and shovel it or drive in it. One of my sons is so good about getting off sugar and fast food and getting up at 4 to go work out before work. I wonder if the stork left him at the wrong house?

  16. Susie
I'm one of those snow people!
But I do why understand other people
    So you're de-cluttering?

  17. I'm ready for the snow to melt, but not the flooding. I'm anxious to see if any of my bees come out. De-cluttering seems to be the January thing to do. Gotta make space for the treasures from those springtime garage sales!
