This is the fudge counter at Horton's in Tipton. Look at all the yummy flavors of fudge. Yes, they make a sugar free fudge, but not in all this delicious flavors. I am really trying my best to stop eating so much sugar. I have bought some Russell Stover chocolate covered treats...mint patties, pecan delights, and coconut squares. Not as creamy tasting as real chocolate...better than no chocolate !! I have lost 6 pounds since Christmas. Which is so good for me. Hope you are succeeding in your New Year's resolutions. xo
Ok Susie, help me out here. I wanted to lose seven pounds in January -I haf it all planned out - i'm sure I haven't lost a pound. Good for you though! Did you just give up sugar? Does that mean no latte's? Even if I make them at home...

Congratulations on the weight loss. I would love to eliminate sugar. Since I have already eliminated gluten I would like to take the sugar away.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Susie! Sugar really is the enemy. I have found that the sugar free candies make up for that in fat. Be careful. Then again you are losing weight so you're definitely doing something right. Hurray!

Hi Susie, I am so very proud of you. Six pounds is a very good number. I've tried those Russell Stover chocolates and they are very good. My Steve is a diabetic so I surprise him once in a while with a bag or two. I made a big pot of vegetable and turkey soup yesterday. So, that I would have something good and ready when I get hungry. It is just too easy to make a peanut butter sandwich . . . and having this soup all made so that I can microwave it and have lunch fast, will be a blessing in making a heather choice. Exercising is my down fall . . . I have no problem when the weather is nice, but when it's so darn cold outside I have a problem . . . I know that I could put my old Sweating To The Oldies video in, but just haven't. I'll be praying for you and ask that you pray for me too. We can do this . . . and we'll feel so much better by spring :)
ReplyDeleteHave a gloriously joy filled day.

P.S. I love that you have musical children in your home and Emma's scarf is beautiful, please tell her for me.
congratulations on the lost pounds, I have never tried sugar free candy, that photo sure does look good!

Congratulations! Everybody diets after Christmas but that is when produce is at its worse in the stores, which makes it more difficult and more expensive. But you've shown it can be done.
ReplyDeleteSix pounds, well done. I am just awful I baked a lemon curd coffee cake today.
ReplyDeletegood for you Susie! There's lots on the web to encourage weight loss these days. I need to stop reading and do some of it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you, Susie, on that six pounds! I think I may have found some of them!:-( There is nothing better, though, than good chocolate.:-)
ReplyDeleteWow, Susie. You are doing great on your diet. Sugar is a hard addiction to break, and it sounds like you have done a great job giving it up.

I can't eat sugar at all...I have a bad reaction to it so I rely of Russell S. for my chocolate fix. The Peanut butter cups are the best and have you tried the big bag of mixed chocolates? They have a dark chocolate in the bag that is excellent! Losing weight is not easy...great job!
