We were not as lucky this time around....we got the snow. So far about 5-6 inches of it. It is still snowing , but suppose to stop this afternoon. I shoveled the drive once and will do it again. It's pretty good exercise.....but I do it in shifts. I take breaks gets drinks of water and warm up.
We had a power clitch once today. At the same time, I heard sirens. Think someone hit a power pole. I just do not want to lose power. We are prepared, have a generator and gas. Candles ,water, and food. A deck of cards too. Whenever we lose power Teddy and I play cards.:):) Hope all of you are safe and warm.. Please do not take needless chances. xo
No snow here, Susie. We do have an inch of rain in the rain gauge from overnight and to this point today. Take care of yourself! xo Nellie

ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteYou have snow! Oh, it must be such a beautiful sight. I am looking at that BIG tree covered with snow and wishing I was there. Stay warm and be safe, my friend. That's nice that you call your husband Teddy Bear. Isn't Jess' teddy bear so cute?
Love,
~Sheri
Snow is beautiful if you don't have to go out in it. We got our third storm today. The snow was heavy, but didn't really last because we got a rain/ice storm right after. Hopefully it will mostly be gone by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteStay inside and stay safe!
YOu know how I love snow. You are getting a lot. We had about 4 more inches last night and then some , well, a lot of freezing rain today. I think this is like how the weather was when I was growing up. There always was snow on the ground. Thanks for visiting and reminding me that it's good to take time for ourself this time of year. I have tried. The ankle is walkable now, which is a good thing. No fracture but waiting on the blood work. Now, you take care out in that driveway. ((((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteOh- You, too!!!! We got about 5" more today, too. I worked outside for 4 hours in the cold and my hands are so chapped and sore tonight that it's not funny.
ReplyDeleteYour winter pictures are gorgeous- xo Diana
Seems everyone has snow..but us. 60 degree's early this morning. 20 degree's higher than Friday morning! We were all bundled up to go out and today..opened the back door and it's almost warm out there. I went out and watered the patio plants in my pj's. Not even a sweater! *sigh* All I get to do is look at the snow in your pictures!! It's just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBe careful shoveling that snow, my friend. We just got rain. UGH!!! Would love some of the pretty white stuff. Just not next week when I will be driving. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteYup the snow is pretty but your comment was correct. We did not need this right now! My Shug's truck is stuck in our driveway and he took my vehicle to work today. So I'll be in our room all day. I'm going to make the best of it with some Christmas merry making, baking and wrapping!

That looks like what we got. It was so pretty stuck to every thing. Hope your power stayed on the rest of the day. We are ready, too, but you never know how long it will be out and that's the scary part.
