Mums....

It's getting to be mum time. This is the shot of Horton's mums last year. I am thinking of going there today and looking around.
I just got home from the dentist. It was my first time to this dentist. They were x-raying and checking to see if I needed my crown replaced. Thankfully I do not. Of course they did some of those torture tests. Striking the tooth with their little hammer, putting cold on them. Making me bite a q-tip. That's a new one.  It's usually heat, cold, and air, then the hammer. More heat, cold and air.LOL.  So I am thrilled I do not need any dental visits now.  The crown was still good.
My grandson Skylar is home and doing fine. He will go back to Indy tomorrow so the drs. can check his progress and change the bandages. Thanks again for your prayer. I know they have helped. XO

  1. Going to the dentist is my LEAST favorite doctor visit. I don't know why, but I DREAD IT!! So glad you got a good report, and glad Skylar is going to be O.K. Blessings my friend!

    1. Honey, I get overly anxious when I have to go...good thing they do the blood pressure reading there. I even got lost finding this place and had to stop at the car insurance business. LOL. I was 1/2 block off. Not too bad. I tell my husband..they just stop short of water boarding me to find out which tooth is giving me problems...it's one of the elusive things. I could have cartwheeled out of that office, when the dentist said I was fine.LOL. I will call Skylar later ..see how it has been since Saturday. Bless you , xoxo,Susie

  3. Glad Skylar is doing well. God bless this brave young guy...I'm anxious to buy some mums but it's a bit too early to buy them here. I'm thinking my Mums, that I left behind in Louisiana, are probably in full bloom now. Hope the new owners enjoy them as much as I did!

  4. I'm so glad Skylar is home and that you don't have to get the crown replaced. And each year I too look forward to the mums. Wish I could grow them the way my father used to but have never had much luck with them.

    1. Thank you Dewena, I am glad that boy is home too. LOL I am going to call him soon to see how he did today. I know he already has home work to do. I love hearing that your father grew flowers. It touches my heart to hear of men growing flowers. It takes me back to the corner I was raised on. Our neighbor man grew zinnias and gladiolas on the edge of his garden. And many wonderful veggies. I could have done a cartwheel about that crown. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

  7. Susie, I didn't realize that mums were at their finest in the Fall. Maybe that's why we used to get them at our school during the football season. I sure do wish I had a store like Horton's that I could go to often. Sounds so interesting. I think it's time for me to go to the dentist too.......no fun. : (

    Have a nice week, Susie.

  8. I'm looking forward to Fall and a visit to thenArboretum to see all the beautiful mums there since I've never been able to get them to live at my house! I really don't mind going to the dentist. I take good care of my teeth, and still things happen. Glad you don't have any problems. Also glad for you about your grandson. Bless you, Susie.

    1. Nonnie, I just love looking at flowers ...any where. You must too. :):) I have four different types of tooth brushes , flosses and sensitive tooth paste, Floride paste for night time. I go to the dentist 2-3 times a year for cleaning and x-rays...but I still am having some issues..well today I found out it's just some sensitivity from a bit of receding gums . Skylar goes back to Indy tomorrow for the drs to check his surgeries and maybe take the wound vac. off his arm. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

    1. Thank you Missy. I am happy that Skylar is doing as well this soon. He goes to the drs. for his follow up tomorrow. Today the dentist asst...did those torture things trying to find any sensitivity of possibly 3 teeth. The dentist confirmed what my own dentist says...I am just having some sensitivity that will come and go. My crown did not need replaced. Hooray for that. Don't forget your camera if you go to your "Horton's" Bl;essings to you, xoxo,Susie

  11. I love mums. They just don't last very long but so ready for them. I have a patio to put them on now. I'm anxious to get started. I don't like the dentist but desperated need a tooth pulled. I don't have the money to have the work done that I need. Ughh. Such a challenge.

    1. Bonnie, If you were very brave, you might volunteer at a dental college...if there's one near. I think they do work for less than the dentist..because they are training. I am happy I am only having sensitivity. My heart breaks for you needing a tooth pulled. I have had my wisdom teeth pulled and the molars next to them also. Misery. Ask your dentist about those payment plans too...that can at least give you time . Bless you, xoxo,Susie

The dentist, ugh! I'm going through a bunch of things that I may or may not write about. All I'll say is that this has been going on since last October and I hope not much longer than that.

    1. Boston Boy, I am going to go see my g.son tomorrow. I need to get the information in person. Gee, kids! They either tell you too much or not enough. LOL. Texting just not get all the info. I remember when you were going tot he dentist. I am wondering it I haven't lost my mind with my dental problems. :):) I have such sensitivity that I am sure something is happening with my crowns and the dentists tell me it's just too sensitive...that's a cute way of saying I will have pain here and there. I keep expecting all my teeth to break off and fall out. LOL Not everyone can afford total implants..plus one of my folowers said something about have to get a new implant...wth...does that mean they can go bad too. I wish you great luck with your dentist. xoxo,Susie
