I just got home from the dentist. It was my first time to this dentist. They were x-raying and checking to see if I needed my crown replaced. Thankfully I do not. Of course they did some of those torture tests. Striking the tooth with their little hammer, putting cold on them. Making me bite a q-tip. That's a new one. It's usually heat, cold, and air, then the hammer. More heat, cold and air.LOL. So I am thrilled I do not need any dental visits now. The crown was still good.
My grandson Skylar is home and doing fine. He will go back to Indy tomorrow so the drs. can check his progress and change the bandages. Thanks again for your prayer. I know they have helped. XO

Going to the dentist is my LEAST favorite doctor visit. I don't know why, but I DREAD IT!! So glad you got a good report, and glad Skylar is going to be O.K. Blessings my friend!ReplyDelete
Honey, I get overly anxious when I have to go...good thing they do the blood pressure reading there. I even got lost finding this place and had to stop at the car insurance business. LOL. I was 1/2 block off. Not too bad. I tell my husband..they just stop short of water boarding me to find out which tooth is giving me problems...it's one of the elusive things. I could have cartwheeled out of that office, when the dentist said I was fine.LOL. I will call Skylar later ..see how it has been since Saturday. Bless you , xoxo,SusieDelete
I love mums and am ready to get some for my front porch.ReplyDelete
Sylvia, I love mums in pots pn porches...you can mix anything with them or just one nice plant looks so great. Hope you have a good week...it's very hot and humid here. xoxo,SusieDelete
Glad Skylar is doing well. God bless this brave young guy...I'm anxious to buy some mums but it's a bit too early to buy them here. I'm thinking my Mums, that I left behind in Louisiana, are probably in full bloom now. Hope the new owners enjoy them as much as I did!ReplyDelete
Thank you for your concern with our Skylar. He's home and I will call him this evening . I know the flowers you planted and had to leave behind will be admired by the new owners...they will smile looking at them. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
I'm so glad Skylar is home and that you don't have to get the crown replaced. And each year I too look forward to the mums. Wish I could grow them the way my father used to but have never had much luck with them.ReplyDelete
Thank you Dewena, I am glad that boy is home too. LOL I am going to call him soon to see how he did today. I know he already has home work to do. I love hearing that your father grew flowers. It touches my heart to hear of men growing flowers. It takes me back to the corner I was raised on. Our neighbor man grew zinnias and gladiolas on the edge of his garden. And many wonderful veggies. I could have done a cartwheel about that crown. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Hi Susie, I love Mums-have three in my garden and one on the porch. Can't get enough of them!ReplyDelete
So glad to hear about Skylar. Sending hugs your way.
Thank you Noreen...I am so glad he is home too and tomorrow the drs will check his surgeries to see how well he is doing. He has a wound vac on his arm...they will take that off. Hope your mums do well. I think they are a hardy plant , and come back for many years. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
I hate going to the dentist. I have an appt. early tomorrow morning they are replacing a screw in one of my implants!!! Would rather do anything else but it has to get fixed. We are back into a heat wave here so no fall mums for us just yet.ReplyDelete
Have a great new week.
Kris, I am going to pray for you as you go to the dentist tomorrow. I never knew those dang screws had to be replaced..what more??? It's been blistering hot today. I tried to sit on the porch..I did not last long. Blessings to you and your sweet Terry. xoxo,SusieDelete
Susie, I didn't realize that mums were at their finest in the Fall. Maybe that's why we used to get them at our school during the football season. I sure do wish I had a store like Horton's that I could go to often. Sounds so interesting. I think it's time for me to go to the dentist too.......no fun. : (ReplyDelete
Have a nice week, Susie.
Sheri, Mums are hardy and many pretty colors...but your roses are the best. :):) You do need a cute place to look at crafty things. I went to Horton's this afternoon and got lots of photos and a few things. :) Blessings, love, SusieDelete
I'm looking forward to Fall and a visit to thenArboretum to see all the beautiful mums there since I've never been able to get them to live at my house! I really don't mind going to the dentist. I take good care of my teeth, and still things happen. Glad you don't have any problems. Also glad for you about your grandson. Bless you, Susie.ReplyDelete
Nonnie, I just love looking at flowers ...any where. You must too. :):) I have four different types of tooth brushes , flosses and sensitive tooth paste, Floride paste for night time. I go to the dentist 2-3 times a year for cleaning and x-rays...but I still am having some issues..well today I found out it's just some sensitivity from a bit of receding gums . Skylar goes back to Indy tomorrow for the drs to check his surgeries and maybe take the wound vac. off his arm. Blessings to you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Gld Skylar is doing well, surgery is always scary. I also have grandson named Skylr. Yes, fall is upon us....I see few trees re turning here already.ReplyDelete
Linda, Some times I call Skylar , Skyboy. He doesn't seem to mind. His mom said this evening that he did well today and is going back for his check up tomorrow. I can see the fall colors creeping in already. The corn is turning . Blessings to you , xoxo,SusieDelete
Glad Skylar is doing well..Kids heal pretty quickly..Sounds like he has lots of caregivers..I went to the Dentist today..Yuk..Hate that scraping and probing...Had a new hygienist who was much less aggressive than my old one..I hope that's a good thing..Sure felt better..Glad all is well.I should go to our version of Hortons soon..Too hot this week though..ReplyDelete
Thank you Missy. I am happy that Skylar is doing as well this soon. He goes to the drs. for his follow up tomorrow. Today the dentist asst...did those torture things trying to find any sensitivity of possibly 3 teeth. The dentist confirmed what my own dentist says...I am just having some sensitivity that will come and go. My crown did not need replaced. Hooray for that. Don't forget your camera if you go to your "Horton's" Bl;essings to you, xoxo,SusieDelete
I love mums. They just don't last very long but so ready for them. I have a patio to put them on now. I'm anxious to get started. I don't like the dentist but desperated need a tooth pulled. I don't have the money to have the work done that I need. Ughh. Such a challenge.ReplyDelete
Bonnie, If you were very brave, you might volunteer at a dental college...if there's one near. I think they do work for less than the dentist..because they are training. I am happy I am only having sensitivity. My heart breaks for you needing a tooth pulled. I have had my wisdom teeth pulled and the molars next to them also. Misery. Ask your dentist about those payment plans too...that can at least give you time . Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Good news about Skylar, I'm so happy for you. Enjoy Horton's!ReplyDelete
Hi Peggy, We are happy to have Skylar back home and praying his check up goes well. I went to Horton in the afternoon and got lots of photos..will be showing them for a few days. Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
So glad to hear of Skylar's progress and hope he continues to improve! Your visit to the dentist sounds like an ordeal! There are some mums out for sale around here, though it is still really too warm to think about mums. xo NellieReplyDelete
Nellie, It's been in the 80's here and humid. I hate sweating , unless I am working. I do not know what happens to my mums they are blooming so early . In this heat I may need to start watering them. Skylar is doing better than I imagined...his check up will tell more. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
I just bought some bright yellow mums -- I love the extra color in the fall. I hope Skylar continues to heal.ReplyDelete
Hi Jo(e), I love the yellow mums, but our heat turns the edges brown too quickly. They had many rows of yellow at Horton's ...I went there yesterday and looked around. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
So glad you don't need your crown replaced, I dreaded that too. Mums, oh I love, love, love them! I have the basket from last year so I think I'll try to put some in it. Yellow of course. So glad Skylar is home and pray his check up goes well.ReplyDelete
Gert, I swear I just feel something is going on with my teeth....they seem so sensitive this past year. I have been to my dentist 3 times and this new one yesterday. I went to look at the mums at Horton's....so many. They are having their Fall market in 3 weeks. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
OH my I'm so glad you survived the Torture Chamber....Yikes. Fall and Mums..they just go together. Sending Hugs.ReplyDelete
Wanda, I would never be good at keeping secrets if the dentist were in charge. I checked the mums out at Horton's in the afternoon. So many pretty plants. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
So glad to hear that Skylar is doing well! And, that you don't need a crown replaced, that's the worst!! I'm probably facing that one of these days and don't look forward to it! Have a wonderful week! Blessings, CindyReplyDelete
Hi Cindy, I love my dentist but still fear having to have some teeth worked on. Skylar gets his follow up today (tues.) praying he does well. Thank you for your kind words. Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Praise God for a good report on Skylar!!ReplyDelete
I love mums and ours did so well until the Texas heat arrived! I have to buy new ones every year!
I'm about to hop in bed but I wanted to stop by and see how your day was first!
Linda, I am so thankful our g.son is doing as well as he is. Tuesday is his check up. Hoping it goes well. I think we are having some Texas heat right here. It's been in the 80's and humid too. I do not like to sweat unless I am digging post holes.LOL Thanks for visiting before your bed time. Love you, xoxo,SusieDelete
I definitely can relate to the dentist as I went last week. Only I do need a crown...and the money to pay for it! I'm glad they'll let me pay it out.ReplyDelete
Good to hear of Skylar's progress!
Brenda, I think the dentist have figured out they need to offer payment plans...it's too darned expensive to get things done. I hope yours will work with you. Skylar goes today for his follow up (Tues.) Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
That's wonderful news concerning your Grandson.ReplyDelete
The dentist, ugh! I'm going through a bunch of things that I may or may not write about. All I'll say is that this has been going on since last October and I hope not much longer than that.
Boston Boy, I am going to go see my g.son tomorrow. I need to get the information in person. Gee, kids! They either tell you too much or not enough. LOL. Texting just not get all the info. I remember when you were going tot he dentist. I am wondering it I haven't lost my mind with my dental problems. :):) I have such sensitivity that I am sure something is happening with my crowns and the dentists tell me it's just too sensitive...that's a cute way of saying I will have pain here and there. I keep expecting all my teeth to break off and fall out. LOL Not everyone can afford total implants..plus one of my folowers said something about have to get a new implant...wth...does that mean they can go bad too. I wish you great luck with your dentist. xoxo,SusieDelete
