Spring Break, Lucky Kids....

This is my granddaughter Savannah sitting beside her best friend Charity.  They are at the Animi convention. It's for a better understanding of Japanese art and animation. This is things I learned on line. I know that there's an Animi art class where the girls go to school.
My daughter Karen said the girls were in the pool a lot. That probably made it more like spring break, since it was an indoor event and cloudy outdoors.
This is my son in law, Jeff. He is a wonderful loving husband and father. I am so thankful for him.
Here's Karen, my daughter. She text me photos and stories of their time at the convention. Bless her heart, she said getting away was fun , but it's always great to get back home. :)
Charity is wearing her Fox ears , from her costume. I think she wore them the whole time she was not in the pool.  :):)
Charity is a fox and Savannah is a bear. They are characters from some kind of story. I wonder if the girls will want to go back next year for the convention, as they are getting older.  I am glad that Karen and Jeff let Savannah enjoy being a young person , because all too soon she will be grown and gone.
The snow that was predicted for our area , dropped south of here just a few miles. We had no snow!!! Indianapolis got a record 10.inches of snow for one day.  We will be having rains this week. Wishing all a great new week. XO

  1. Oh what fun. Your granddaughter and her friend so remind me of my friend Kris, for over 70 years now. We loved to do things together like them.
You have such a loving and caring family. We are enjoying some sunshine and flowers blooming everywhere. Have a blessed Easter.

    1. Wanda, I like for Savannah to be able to go with her parents on these outtings. It's art related and she loves art. She meets people who do the voices for some of the animation. Most of the people come in costumes. My daughter did say not as many people came this year. My daughter Karen has a best friend named Kris also. They have been friend since H.S. I love hearing them still laugh about things from those days. Like ,once they were driving around town as teens do..they said people were honking and waving at them all over town. They started to think they were pretty popular , till they drove by the big window at Penny's and saw their reflection, there was a coke on top of the car...that's what everyone was honking and waving about. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Karen, That convention was in Evansville. They had a great time. I think it is fun for kids to get away , even if it isn't for but a couple days. Now we have rain, so glad it did not snow on us. My daughter in Carmel had lots of snow. Be safe from any flooding we may get. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Jenn, I had to look up most of what I know about Animi. I know the girls meet people who do voices for Japanese animation . Plus see others in costumes. They seem to think that's great fun. I want Savannah to stay interested in art. Blessings to you, hope you are well. xoxo, Susie

  6. Spring break is always a nice time for the kids....and they deserve it, as they work so hard on their studies. That's a cute picture of Charity with the fox ears.

We had rain all last week too, Susie, but this week has been sunny. Although I'm not sure we've seen the last of the rain...we'll see. : )

    1. Sheri, I would love to a young girl , just to have a spring break. LOL. Savannah and Charity may be working together soon. Now that Savannah is 16 , she can get a job . She's been wanting one. She's an "A" student, so I hope a job doesn't interfere with her grades. Hope you get just enough rain, none of the flooding or land slides. I hate floods. I worry more about that than anything. I do need some sunshine soon. too many gray days in a row. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

  8. What a fun Spring break for your grand girl. Oh I bet they all had a great time. It is so good to get away at times but I always look forward to going back home. There is no place like home. The temps here are crazy. Cold in the mornings and warming up during the day. Raining one day and the next the wind is blowing. It has been a bit crazy. Spring back in our county for the kids is next week. Happy Easter. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I am glad my grands get to have adventures. My daughters and I always had plenty. Blessings for a sweet Easter. xoxo, Susie
