Bring us flowers. Some are a bit stunted, like my daisies. They have died back somewhat. Not very tall either. My flowers need to know the rules around her.....stay hardy or die.
I do not have to energy to work in the heat any more. So I need things that do not take a lot of coddling. Now these lilies are super tall and thick this year.:) Some are bloomed out and some are on the verge .
Hope all of you are having a nice Monday. I know a nice Monday...oxymoron. LOL. I just have to try my best to glean some happiness from everyday. XO
Not a bad Monday here, Susie. Just the beginning of a busy week ahead. I like things that take a minimum of effort on my part.:-) Lilies fill that bill.:-) xo Nellie

DeleteI am having a nice day except for the laundry and a few other loose ends.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! I wish I could garden.
Boston Boy, I have gardened by trial and error. But these lilies are hardy and I need more of them. I just wondered today...why can't I take the heat. I think it the AC...it's made pansies of us. Didn't you just love the sweet low humidity of the first two weeks of June. Now that is how I want to live. You are retired now, get a little container garden.. You could grow a tomato plant in a bucket. Wishing you a great week, xoxo,Susie
DeleteGorgeous flowers Susie! I don't tolerate the heat well anymore either!
ReplyDeleteBeth, There's been times when I am working in the heat, I feel like my hair must be on fire. LOL. I used to be able to do the mind over matter...out think the heat...now I must be out of my mind. :):) xoxo,Susie
DeleteI don't do the heat and humidity very well, either. I enjoy being outside, but it is usually the late afternoon when it cools off a bit before I want to work in the flowers. And I'm with you, Susie, the flowers that take care of themselves are the best kind! Your lilies are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh I love daisies, Susie. These are so pretty. I can't believe it's raining still where you live. I guess the rain is good for all your lovely flowers to bloom.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day.
