I found the pictures of Brock's open house. So I have decided to show a few. Brock said he was playing his guitar for me. He is such a sweet young man. Once I took him to the grave yard to put flowers on his grandpa Eddie's grave. He was about 9, he had a harmonica with him, so he played a tune for his grandpa at the cemetery. It touched my heart.
Brock, Lynzie , and Emma. I laugh at Emma, she is wearing the bridal shower dress that she was never going to wear again. :):)
My twins, Karen standing and Liz sitting , talking together till I tell them to look at me. LOL.
The young people playing a game of bean bag toss. Kids came and went the whole time. Some stayed longer. Friends and family were there to congratulate Brock and his class.
Matt in the checked shirt and his brother. Matt was raised on this property. He bought it and he and Liz are clearing areas. They have a lot of ash trees.
Hope you have a great day . xo
What a wonderful family time. Have a great day too, sweet friend. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, Glad you came by. I enjoyed my time with my family. It's fun, just too far in between at times. Hope your day is wonderful, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt looks like such a sweet and fun time together. Cute about the bridal shower dress. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, she was never wearing that dress again. But she really like to dress girly. It was fun meeting Brock school chums too. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHe's a very handsome young man and one to be proud of. I love seeing your family photos...makes me want to be part of your family! heehee! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDiane, I have to tell you this, now that you brought it up...you are my little sister. Mom gave you up for adoption, LOL. I used to think I was adopted...but who would adopt eleven kids? You are a welcome part of our family. xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt looks like a wonderful time Susie! Brock sounds very talented!
ReplyDeleteBeth, Brock is a kind young man. He does love music and it isn't all ear splitting.LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteBrock and I have guitar playing in common. Does he play the electric guitar as well?
ReplyDeleteB.Boy, Yes, he has two electric guitars. He had a few lessons when he was younger. But has taught himself a lot of other things on the guitar. You should do a post of your talent. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love photos of family and friend gatherings. I love a guitar. What good looking kids. I'd listen to him just to get to look at him:)
ReplyDeleteBrock is going to love to read this comment. How sweet. Thank you for your kind words. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteThat touched my heart when Brock played the harmonica for his Grandpa at the cemetery when he was 9 years old. I visit my dad at the cemetery sometimes,, so I think this is so special. Tell him to keep playing the guitar. It's such a talent. My son used to play but not so much any more.
Have a wonderful week, Susie.
love,
~Sheri
Sheri, I think Brock will continue to play his guitar. He does everyday for a few minutes. I am thinking that Emma has stopped her piano lessons, she has not mentioned it for some time. That makes me sad. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe need sweet young men. CC did not like piano for the longest time-then loved it in college. You just do't know when a good teacher will inspire a kiddo.
ReplyDeleteOlive, Emma had lessons for the lonest time ...I need to talk with her about those lessons. Her dad had lessons as a child and he said he hated it...hope that's not rubbing off on my Emma Pooh.:):) I hope she really gets into it. Brock stays with his music . xoxo,Susie

DeleteThanks for sharing the photos. I hope you will have a good evening. We have our fingers crossed for rain here.
ReplyDeleteWe got a 1/2 of rain yesterday. Today was breezy but so pretty. Tomorrow they are saying severe storms. I like for everyone to just get a nice gentle rain, no storms. It's getting very humid also. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a great time this was for family and friends to gather! Very special! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteIt was a good time, being with friends and family. xoxo,Susie
DeleteBrock is a handsome young man. Glad you had good weather for the celebration!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, we lucked out on the weather. It was great that whole weekend.xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a wonderful get together, Susie. I love the story about Brock playing the harmonica for his granddad. How sweet was that.
ReplyDeleteAnd love that Emma wore the dress she was never going to wear again. lol.
Better late than never is right- which explains why I am so late tonight-xo Diana
I think I am going to keep track of how many times Emma actually wears that dress. LOL I think it makes her look older...but I am not telling her that, you know. Brock has always had a gentle heart. I pray nothing changes that. xoxo,Susie
