I use this snowman with the fencing to hide the humidifier. It works. We women are good at that. I am thinking of using gifts to hide the humidifier and putting this fellow on the porch....but then again, old habits are hard to break.
I will use this plastic cloth for a couple weeks. Because we eat everyday meals here. Then I get out my nice table cloth. I will change out this centerpiece many times through out the weeks. I like to see different things here, on the table.
It's a chilly day, but looking good. My oldest daughter's birthday is coming up and I will be taking a few things to her house on that day. So I have to get them ready.
Hope all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving. I know that sadness did strike a few homes, I am sorry to hear that. Let's remember our blog friends that are going through tough times. Keep them in our thoughts and prayers. XO
It looks like you are getting in the swing of things, Susie. Have fun! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, At least it is a small start. I am getting the tree down from the garage attic today. I always let it be on the porch to make sure there's no spiders or bugs in the box. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYes, we need to remember those who are having a difficult time this Christmastime. There are many, and many who never show it on the outside.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea for hiding the humidifier!
Judy, Thank you for dropping by. I want to donate to the needy . Our investment company has a food drive at this time. That helps. I have an appointment on Friday , so I'll be taking some things in for that. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to hide your humidifier. Have fun decorating.
Kris
Kris, Some things just do not look very Christmasy like a humidifier. :):) xoxo,Susie
DeleteJuggling between being green and decorating decently is getting tougher any more. I got to say that you have great ideas.
ReplyDeleteMunir, We have not had a real tree for over 30 years. Just keep using my poor Charlie Brown tree, with the ornaments my kids made when they were young. I miss the smell of pine. I picked up the twigs from our pines in the yard and put into my big flowerpots on the porch. I believe in using what you have. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie, I like your snowman! I also like the centerpiece on your table. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beth. I like a snowman on the porch also. I can leave him out past Christmas. xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove the snowman...What a perfect thing to hide a humidifier..good start for sure..
ReplyDeleteI have used him for about 3 years to hide that humidifier. LOL. I have a bit to do yet to be done.xoxo,Susie
DeleteYes, women do get creative, all the time!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of changing out the table center piece.
warmly,
deb
Hi Deb, I have a tiny nativity, I am thinking of even putting it out as a center piece. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI like the plastic tablecloths for everyday use. As for centerpieces, my cats won't let me have them!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know you have to watch cats around tree also. Our Zoey, used to knock the ornament off the tree. She was always slapping at them. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI like this idea and did some decorating today, too. I'm keeping friends in my prayers...it's a sad time for so many. Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, I love seeing your dolls out for the holidays. :) I hope I can get more done this week. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love the snowman in fence inside, and to hide something not so cute. Love the bowl of glass ornaments. It sure did get cold didn't it?
ReplyDeleteTete, It is cold here today. Suppose to maybe warm up again this coming weekend. Hope so. I can do the porch then. I do not put lights up, so that helps when decorating. xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt sure is fun to be getting into the holiday spirit! I love to change the tablecloth and centerpiece too! Your snowman is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you Patty. I am even thinking of getting a green tablecloth. All mine are reddish colored. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love the snowman and fence (I just saw a fence today and couldn't think of a place I could squeeze it in!). I love the idea of using gifts for decorating...stacking them up in front of the fence would work...like a pyramid?? I plan to scatter them around here and there instead of making a mess in my den as usual! lol!
ReplyDeleteLove to you and thanks always for your more than sweet comments, Susie!! :)
Jane xx
Blondie, I love visiting your site and seeing what all you have been doing. I enjoy it. I have my little shutters I got this summer on the porch and I am thinking of using them in decorating. :) xoxo,Susie
DeleteGreat idea for hiding your humidifier, Susie, and so cute! Changing the centerpiece happens here, too. Just getting started with Christmas decorations up here. Have a wonderful week, sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteI love you!
Debbie
Yes, we are very good at disguising the unattractive. I'd never know what was behind the cute fencing. It seems that many of our blogging buddies have deep concerns so I appreciate your gentle reminder.
ReplyDeleteSusie, I really like the red glass balls on your table. It looks so simple and lovely. They remind me of my mom's vintage red balls that she put on her tree every year. When she passed away, I wanted to get some of them, but never did. I wish I did now because they were special to me. Your red balls made me smile thinking back.
ReplyDeletelove,
