Putting my tree up today. It was up yesterday. But I am decorating it today. This is my special ornaments for Chicago. One of my favorite towns.
This is my ornament from NYC. Another of my favorite cities. L.A. , Charleston , and Boston are my other favorites. How do we choose ? I love many things about many towns.
This is one of my first ever ornaments. It's from the stone age when I was a teenager. Those cave men were pretty crafty. LOL I love this angel. Some times as I decorate , it's a trip down memory lane. I don't just throw things on the tree, I enjoy a thought of when I got the ornament or who may have gotten it for me.
Got to get busy here. Enjoy this great day. It's going to be 40 degrees here. Well that's like springtime. May have to take a break from the tree and go out and hang the wreath on the railing. Hugs for everyone.
I enjoy seeing your special ornaments. It's always fun to remember where/when an ornament came from. Have an enjoyable day, Susie. xoxo Mildred
ReplyDeleteMildred, My favorite ornaments are the ones my girls made . :):) xoxo,Susie
DeleteSo the 'cave men' weren't just hammering on their poor women folk. LOL Sweet ornament. I hope you have a lovely day with the bit of warm weather coming your way. Good day to hang that wreath.
ReplyDeleteOh my I was just out hanging that wreath, my ears are frozen...I did not wear my hood. Brr. The sun is shining though and it is making me joyous. xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your ornaments Susie..Mine are long gone.I don't do a tree anymore..No one sees it..It's nice to have all those "reminders"..Enjoy the 40's !! Here too for the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteHi Missy, I think I still do a tree, because there were many years growing up, that our family did not have one and I wanted one so badly. But honestly...since I can't seem to get my sisters to do anything at times...no one sees our decoration either. Kind of sad. xoxo, Susie
DeleteLove your ornaments! So much fun. It's going to be 70 here today and 40's tomorrow. The temps keep flopping back and forth.. I'm so confused :)
ReplyDeleteSherry, Isn't our weather crazy at times. Enjoy the sweet warm weather today. I did hang up that outside wreath...my ears are frozen. :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour angel ornament is so sweet, and holding up well after all these years. You should see my first ornament that I gave husband when we were first married. It's so old that it's falling apart haha. Have fun decorating the tree, Susie. I hope to get mine this weekend.
ReplyDeleteby the way, I've always wanted to go to Boston.
love,
~Sheri
Sheri, Hope you enjoy getting ready for Christmas. If you get a chance to go to Boston, by all means go...there is so much history there. When I went..my favorite part was boarding the U.S.S. Constitution and sitting in the North Church while a young college lad recited the midnight ride of Paul Revere. That was soul touching. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a great idea for a Christmas tree. My traveling consists of I-20, I-75 and I-24 since my children moved to Nashville. Not much traveling since I married but went alot of place growing up.
ReplyDeleteI have tried to get an ornament when I travel...if I think of it. You know how that goes. LOL I have even been to Nashville to the country music hall of fame. My favorite ornaments are the ones my daughters made growing up. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou are a few steps ahead of us here, Susie. Hope you are able to hang that wreath! We see a few glimmers of sunshine here now and then, though the past few days have been very cloudy, even with some heavy rain at times. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I got that wreath hung out and frozen my ears off. LOL. But later in the day it was heaven...I walked around the yard some and filled the bird feeder. I am still working on the tree. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeletePretty ornaments! I'm like you. I like to remember who gave me an ornament or where I got it. Such nice memories.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, I have missed visiting your site lately. Hope you are enjoying some nice weather. It was very sunny here today. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSweet ornaments Susie. I am enjoying this beautiful weather we are having today too. Sun is out that is a plus.
ReplyDeleteHappy Decorating.

ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting today. Hope you had a fun day. I did get some decorating done. Also got to walk around the yard and fill the bird feeders. The sun shined most all day. I love it. xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove all your special ornaments. No tree for us this year. I gave most of my ornaments to my kids. Most of them were made by them anyway.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs
Wanda, I never have many here to see all the decorations...It is sad. I will give all my things to my daughters one day too. I have sorted through picture a lot this year., whoever is in the pic gets it. :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteMy sisters and I divided all the ornaments we had at home as kids. I am putting up my first Christmas tree in years. Sounds like a good excuse for a little party.
ReplyDeleteNow you are talking Paul. That would be a fun time to have a few friends in or your best friend Arlene. I hope your ornaments give you some wonderful memories of when you were a young boy. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
