I can't believe one week of December is gone. So happy I do not have to go shopping for gifts. I don't mind buying little gifts for my sisters and friends. But to shop for today's children...aawwkkk.
Well we know who the star of Christmas IS. It's not our children, even though they may think so. LOL. Emma actually tried to work on her mom to buy her a hat very similar to one she had at home. Oh my, that was crazy. As good as she can be most often . She knows better. No asking for things other on the Christmas list.
I have my bird wreath on the door. This is the original door to this house...so it has to be 60 years old. I love the tree glass panes in it....but really would love a new door. I better put that on my list , before I start whining for a new door. LOL. After all " IT " isn't all about me either.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day. The sun is out here and looking so good. XO
I hear you. My grandkids are really pretty good about not expecting anything in particular. I am done shopping for all of them except for one gift certificate.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE that bird wreath!
Have a great Sunday, Susie! xo Diana
Diana, Emma was asking her mom...she knows I won't listen to any whining.LOL I give everyone a bit of money..saves all kinds of woes. I have had this wreath for about 5 years. I think I got it at the Hobby-Lobby. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHI Susie..
ReplyDeletesorry I haven't been by much lately..have many projects a going on ..LOL
love the arched top garland ..did you make it?
hugs,Patty
You have been busy...getting to hear singing at Christmas is a wonderful treat isn't it? No I took that photo pf the arch at Horton's store in Tipton. It ois made of Christmas Greenery and silver balls and ice cycles. xoxo,Susie
DeleteGood morning Susie, I shopped all day yesterday and finished my shopping! I know when I'm in stores I'll be looking for little things to include in each ones gifts. I always do that. My grandchildren are good about not asking for things, I usually have to get them to tell me what they want.
ReplyDeleteSyliva, I know you had a fun time with the girls. I love my daughter times too. Hope you have a great week, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your door and that gorgeous wreath. After a lot of rain, we have sun today and I just feel so much better!
ReplyDeleteMildred, wishing you sunshine for this coming week. It makes me smile. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour bird wreath is so pretty! I was happy to see the sun here today, too :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Susan, We are loving this sunshine. I need it. It makes me happy. That wreath is old but I love it still. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSweet bird wreath on your front door.
ReplyDeletewarmly,
deb
Hi Deb, I hope to use iot a bit longer. Although I did get a good deal on it. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love birds and yes, Christmas is here. I started to say will be here soon, but it already looks like Christmas. I really like that first picture. Where was it taken?
ReplyDeleteIt is getting closer. Wow...my life has wings. I am loving a little some thing every day. Even if it's the birds feeding out front...looking for God's blessings...it is the little things that count. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI wish I could decorate this year.....I do have a few little things put up. I am trying to remind myself and family that it is not about the gifts and decorations. Altho yours are gorgeous! as for shopping......none for me this year, it's just too hard, getting a lot of gift cards. My grandkids are getting older and $ or gift cards is what the want.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I would help you if I were near by. Don't worry about decorating, or gifts, just concentrate on getting well. You hold the true Christmas spirit in your heart...that makes it Christmas. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI agree on kids and their Christmas "wants". This year I told my girls, who are not kids at all, that I didn't want lists. I am shopping for gifts from my heart. If they want or need something, they both work. My boys were never so "needy".
ReplyDeleteI love your wreath. And you make me laugh wanting a new door for Christmas. My hubby asked me if I wanted a new vacuum cleaner for Christmas after ours died a week ago. I said sure, if you can live with the dog hair til then! :)
Jane xx
Blondie, I do the money gifts...it saves my feet and worry. It may not be the "right" size(Ha) but it's the right color. I have 21 to give gifts ...not counting my Teddy bear...I already have his gift.:) I ask for small or practical things...cause I buy what I want when I want it....that's what's good about my own bank account. LOL.
DeleteHope you enjoy your vacuum...I really think your husband won't do that...he looks like a special man and knows better. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Pretty door Susie..Cute wreath as well...
ReplyDeleteThanks Missy, I do like this door, but it is rough, needs stripped then repainted. Hope you are having better weather. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, I agree with you on having to CHRISTmas shop for teenagers! No way could I do that any more...lol
ReplyDeleteLove that bird wreath, unbelievably gorgeous! (I went one!! Lol)
Blessings,
Gert
Love that greenery swag in the first shot! And your wreath is so pretty. I love birds, and have a bunch of cardinals on my little faux tree that I decorated.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the Christmas lists, Susie. And it's not just the younger kids either. I spent about two hours today trying to find Nel the perfect chess set that she had on her list. I love that "Star of wonder, Star of night" sign. You have a red cardinal wreath - oh my, it's pretty! It must look so nice hanging on your door. Yes, I can't believe the first week of Dec. has come and gone.
