Fifth Grade Breakfast....

The parties at school now are breakfasts. ... They do not want the children all sugared up...well then stop having chocolate milk, donuts, cookies and muffins. Yikes. There were some breakfast casseroles.. Some biscuits and gravy. The kids were extra antsy this year or too much sugar. LOL Mrs. H. had to call them down more than 4 times. So unusual for her classes.
The animals from last year were there again. Looking so cute dressed for Christmas.
I wish each room had a coffee machine. LOL. I needed a second cup.  All in all it was a great day.   I have to admire my daughter for her patience. She just hold her hand up till they get quiet. It is funny how the kids will quieten the others they may be talking out of turn.
When I left, I told the children that if they see me put and about, to be sure to say hello. Some gave me hugs. :):)  Hope your day is fun.  .XO

  1. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! It is just as easy to have a lot of sweet things at breakfast, though, as it is at other types of parties. xo Nellie

    1. Nellie, One year I made toast and the kids loved having buttery toast. One of the mother will make a list and recruit other moms on what to bring...that is why I can't understand all the sweets. This year they didn't have cereal. I would rather they had eggs and sausages. :) I was tempted to have a big old donut myself. LOL. xoxo,Susie

  2. Those costumes are very realistic. I think once in while it is OK to have donuts but I rather that children have an egg or even cereal for breakfast.

  3. Oh Susie, your daughter has a great profession being a school teacher. I admire Jess for teaching elementary school also. Look at those animals, they look delightful all dressed up for Christmas. It sounds like your daughter is a very good teacher. You're lucky that you can visit the class when you want.

Have a blessed day, and thanks for stopping by to see my Christmas trees.

    love,

    1. Sheri, My daughter has loved teaching for a very long time. She was a student teacher also. If a person is impatient, mean , or grumpy, they do not need to teach.....because teachers can make or break a desire to learn. Glad your daughter teaches also. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. Susie,
Your daughter is one of my hero's. I love that she is shaping the young minds for the future. 5th grade is not an easy age either. What a cute picture of the class. Glad you enjoyed seeing the kids today.

    1. Thank you Kris. We all know that some times teachers do not get enough praise. Angie says 5th grade is right before the kids get a big case of attitude. LOL. It is sad at times that she must teach social skills also. She does not tolerate any form of bullying. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Diana, I agree. Most of the kids coming into her class beg for her to be there teacher. When I help with the end of the year picnic in summer, I see how the kids love her. Makes me proud. Hey, I had a small chocolate donut...but I swear there was a huge cinnamon covered one calling my name. It was the size of a double decker burger. wow. I miss that donut so badly. xoxo,Susie

  8. Breakfast is a good idea. They have cut out the sweet parties here. They have such healthy foods now BUT the kids don't eat it. My life is surrounded by those in the teaching field. I agree the grumpy ones need to find another vocation. Gotta love a caring loving teacher like your daughter. Have a wonderful Christmas my friend. I am trying to get my Christmas spirit in check. Rough week.

    1. Judy, I did see some kids eat like they were hungry. So sad. MY daughter told them to slow down they could eat as much as they wanted , but to not take what they could not eat. But I guess if you are hungry, your eyes can be way bigger than your tummy. :):)xoxo,Susie

    1. Laura, I want kids to eat enough, but not so much sugar. I would like them to have eggs and sausages. They had juice and milk too. I know my daughter grades papers in her home after school hours. Her son is studying to be a teacher too. :) Bless you on your trip to Atlanta, be safe. xoxo,Susie
