Cold And Snowy.....

Our area got 6 more inches of snow since yesterday. It's still very cold and the wind is blowing also.
The snow plow went up and down our road this morning.
The snow was light and the wind is blowing it around.  Only shoveling paths for now.  The sun is out this Saturday afternoon and I am loving that.
This is Tuesday sunset. I thought it was certainly pretty. I am ready for this cold spell to be gone.
I'll show some of the work Ted has done on his sister's Airstream camper. He has most of the paneling up and some walls and cabinets are in.
These cabinets are over the wheel wells.
This will be the bathroom wall between the bedroom and bath. That bathroom is going to be really small. LOL.
This is how it looked when Ted brought it here to work on.
Completely empty inside, other than wiring and insulation.
It's been so cold, that I have been longing for warmer days and flowers. ;):) How about you?
Happy New Year to all. XO

  2. Oh my gosh! I love seeing the snow around your area, Susie. I still want Winter to linger on. It's very cold here too, especially in the mornings. Some days we get fog, and that's pretty to me. Your sunset picture is lovely, and you can see all the snow in the far distance. And the tree covered in snow looks like a Christmas tree!

Happy New Year, Susie! I hope this year is filled with much peace and joy for me and you.

    2. Just wanted to tell you that I'll be taking a blog break for awhile. The girls will still post as often as they can. They're so busy, so it will probably be every couple of weeks. So, stop by and say hello to them. And even though I'm taking a break from posting, I will still visit your sweet blog. It is heartwarming, and I appreciate you so much, Susie.

    1. Jo, It was pretty with snow on every branch of every tree. But the wind picked up and it got very cold. Ted is making the camper pretty for his sister...otherwise he would never have taken on such a project. Blessings to you my dear friend, hoping our new year is wonderful for all of us. xoxo, Susie

  6. That air stream is going to be a masterpiece!! Will y’all do any traveling in it or is it his sister’s exclusively? I know how you hate cold! A cold front just moved into the DFW are dropping temps and they will go all the way down into the teens! No camping at the ranch this week! We will go next Saturday after it warms up!

    1. Linda, Ted wants the camper to look good for his sister...he said he would not have tried this for anyone else. LOL. No we are not going to be using it...although I laugh about selling everything and buying one with a long electrical cord...then go plug in at all the family's places. LOL I heard it was cold all the way to Texas. Brr, come on springtime. Don't forget to look for the super moon on the 1st of Jan. Blessings for a great new year. Love you guys so much, xoxo, Susie

I am not a fan of cold or snow. Give me a sunny warm day on my porch or at the beach and I'm as happy as a clam....but what are ya gonna do when you live where we do!! Hunker down and count off the weeks :))
    Happy New Year!

    1. Doris, I know snow can look pretty at times...but I prefer green grassy lawns. LOL. I do not like being really cold or hot. :) I would love to sit on the porch for a bit and have even in winter, but not in this kind of cold and wind. Yes, stay inside where it's safe and warm. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

Snow is coming and going, freezing layer upon layer. The plows and salt trucks do a great job, thankfully. Are you ready for the New Year? :)

  13. God bless Ted for doing that- that is a BIG job and I hope he is well paid for the work he does. He really is an artist at the woodworking!

I didn't realize you had that much snow. Mindy didn't mention it when I talked to her. We still have a good base here- I am guessing 6-8". I am so anxious for winter to be over and can't wait for warm weather. Well, I guess I CAN wait because I nust. lol

Happy New Year to you, Susie- Love you, my sweet friend. xo Diana

It's like the plumber whos' toilet runs, you know. ? LOL.I am already tired of this bitter cold...do not even want to go to the grocery. :):) Hope all of us can enjoy a new year of good health and smooth sailing. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie

  14. Since we don't get snow here, I LOVE seeing snow photos. (Although we did get a surprise snow at the beginning of December. I hadn't seen snow in at least 10 years). I can understand about being tired of the cold though. (That's how I feel about our heat/humidity for most of the year).

It certainly is cold tonight! (I'm really worried about our neighbor's donkeys because the evil/stupid/clueless woman didn't have extra hay sent over to help keep them warm. They're going to be so cold for the next few days, but at least they have a shed to escape the wind).

Happy New Year to ya, and stay warm!

    1. Hi Kristin, I know it is colder than normal there, cause the Chapman's have posted about the lows. I never think of Texas when I hear snow and ice and wind chills. I will now. Some times animals are smarter than the owners...so hopefully the donkeys will get in the shed. Blessings to you for a beautiful new year , xoxo, Susie
