Shopping For Wood....
The front of their counter has boards with the name of the wood written on them. I really liked this curly maple, I had never heard of it before. Of course birdseye maple is a wonderful wood.
We had storms last night...I could swear the grass has greened up in two days time. Our wonderful lawn man passed away late last autunm. He was such a nice man. Once he finished his work on our yard he would visit for about 10 minutes. I would give him some ice water or a soda.He really knew his stuff .We are going to miss him. Are any of you mowing yet?? xo

For a wood worker, going to a lumber place, is like a child, being able to go to the North Pole and see Santa!!! I know! :-)ReplyDelete
I love wood, too, Susie. I love the smell of it and the sharp smell when you cut it. My hubby's family used to own a lumber company and we worked there for several years until they sold it.ReplyDelete
Sorry about your lawn man. We still have a base of about 2 FEET of snow on our back yard! UGH-xo Diana
Look at all this lumber! I love the smell of fresh wood too. My favorite is the dark woods like walnut and cherry. They are so pretty to me. So sorry about your lawn man. We have a landscaper that comes every week, and yes, he has already mowed. It looks so nice after they mow, don't you think?
Have a sweet day, Susie.
My husband has mowed twice, Susie. There is a lot to mow since we have over an acre, though the vegetable garden takes up a 30x60 feet area in the back.ReplyDelete
How lovely that wood is!
The grass here is very green now and the lawn care came to treat the lawn today.ReplyDelete
