Once More....

I just have to show this clematis one more time. It has been the best plant this year. Loaded with blooms. I took more pictures of it before the rains. It rained hard on Monday, 1/2 an inch. Tuesday was a truly beautiful day...a bit breezy. Today it rained just as I went for the newspaper at the mailbox, yes I ran. LOL.  Then it rained more with lightening. Later today, the weatherman says, possibility of severe storms. I hope we do not get any of that huge hail. Yikes !!
Let's be safe today. May have to find indoor things to do.  xo

  4. Pretty! I don't think mine will look as nice as yours. The winter was hard on all of my plants.

    1. Deb, It looked like our ivy was going to die...it was the worse we had ever seen it...but it came back and is shaping up. Our trees did strange things this year though. The weeping cherry never bloomed at all but did leaf out. The red bud just had a small area that blossomed. Our hickory is dropping leaves already and it just leafed out. Hope things come around nicely there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Nellie, I did get the trash container to the curb in time. Now it's put up, I hate to set it out in wind. I have my letters in the mail box. So I can relax and read for a bit. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Three days of rain...I would be feeling kind of blue. Maybe it's your nice adventure with family that helps you. I used to not mind snow, rain , or windy days...when my girls were young. We would play scrabble or sew, or they would build forts to play in. I miss my little girls, they are all grown with kids of their own. xoxo,Susie

  7. The weather radio went off all night long last night with storm and tornado warnings. All we got was a bit of a thunderstorm.
    Your clematis is lovely!

    1. Beth, Those radios can be life savers...but can also make you crazy. It's been dark looking almost all afternoon here. But stopped raining before noon. Thank goodness, we had an inch of rain today already. xoxo,Susie

    1. Patty, I know the rain helps things grow, but once the plant has bloomed the rain wrecks them. Poor peonies. xoxo,Susie

    1. Susie, We truly lucked out today. We got a lot of rain this morning, it cooled things down thus not causing any severe weather for us. We got an inch of rain today and on Monday we had 1/2 inch. Hope you are doing better and feeling fine. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Diana, That would have been a sight. I can do short burst of speed, but forget long distances. Now if a big dog was chasing me...I might last a distance. LOL xoxox, Susie

  14. Oh my gosh, these purple flowers are so beautiful. I want to plant some of them! The color is amazing. I'll have to remember the name of this when it comes time to plant a few flowers in the garden.
