I really do not know what you call normal. What is normal? We are without children here today. We took Emma home yesterday. On our way, we picked up two more of our grandchildren, took them all to lunch.
There's a farm restaurant in the town where Emma lives, so we took the kids there for lunch.
They all ate well, except Emma. She told Savannah what to order and she ordered the same. Then when it came she just didn't want to eat it. So Skylar and Savannah ate Emma's lunch. LOL. We delivered all the children home safely. I stayed a while with Emma, till her mom came home .
Ted and Matt, Emma's father were cutting wood. They are trying to get their wood piles stocked for the next winter season. It has to be seasoned wood, so the cutting is now.
Hope everyone has a beautiful day. XO
Beautiful photos, Susie. I know you enjoyed Emma's visit and your lunch with the grands sounds good. Hope you have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteThank you , it was a fun time. Not really fast food. But some of the items on the menu are quick foods. More like what we would fix for lunch for working men.xoxo,Susie
DeleteSounds like a fun time. Normal is also a little quiet at times, isn't it. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that's it. Normal. Not picking up something all the time. Not watching Disney channel . LOL. Can watch the news. xoxo, Susie
DeleteI hope you enjoy some quiet time today and get caught up on things. ;0)
ReplyDeleteIts supposed to be a hot and humid one today and then tomorrow is back to cool again. I think I can do one day here. Have a good day.
Tete, Oh yeah, one hot day won't kill us. But I love not running the AC. Hope you have a fun day. I have some running to do , getting groceries and vitamins. So I better get moving. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh neat we both have sissie named Jeanne(:)
ReplyDeleteHope your day is wonderful...
pretty flowers on here ..
getting a few rain sprinkles today much needed in this OL'desert!!
hugs..Patty
Hi Patty, We could use some rain here also. I wish we could all get at least an inch of rain a week. I have to keep watering our containers. xoxo,Susie
DeleteAnytime with the grandchildren is wonderful, isn't it. Pretty photos. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI love my time with the kids, all of them. But the two younger girls will compete for attention. Well Emma does. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou raised a smart son who knows to plan ahead.
ReplyDeleteThe fellows are cutting all the trees lost during a storm last month. Plus Matt knows of others that have to be cut out of fences. Last year we all went through a huge wood pile and saved on fuel. Which was getting up to 5 dollars a gallon. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeletePretty pictures! Sounds like you are keeping busy with the grands. I don't know what normal is anymore, either. Just when I think I have the day to myself to get something done, you can bet something else will come up to keep me from it!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I know what you mean. I love having my grands here...but it's job....plus the cleaning once they are gone. I wash the heads, the young girls that is. Do nails...make sure they are brushing their teeth enough while here. I know I raised my own by screaming and yelling. LOL. poor girls. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHad to laugh. Your life sounds like mine. The Colorado kids left last night. I was sure I would be alone today. Nope I have Mabel. It's okay though. Is Emma's tummy still not up to par. I have had a messed up tummy for a few days. Her tummy ache was awhile ago but sounds like food still isn't too appealing. Poor girl. You are a good Grammy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debby. I think Emma just doesn't wash her hands well enough at times. That is where kids get a bit of salmonella. Plus they have animals, plus I truly think she needed to use the restroom, with her grumbly tummy. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie. I hope Emma is feeling better and the boys got their wood chopped. It takes a lot of work to live a life, doesn't it..Pretty shots of the flowers..Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteJudy, I used to think that once a person retired , it would be all fun, all the time...boy was I mistaken. It still work and more work ..takes longer to do the work and longer to heal up after working. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI bet it does seem odd to suddenly have an empty house! Bet it was fun being at lunch with your granddaughter....smile... Do you think Emma was still not feeling very good? Sure hope she's okay.. Those boys sound like busy little guys!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Gert, Once Emma leaves, I miss her like crazy. I get used to her being here. We like to watch some shows together. She'll watch Frasier and the Golden Girls with me.LOL. This time she did lots of drawings. She will use my pilates chair for exercise. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat fun, Susie! We loved seeing our grandchildren eat lunch when we took them out to eat! They loved it! xo Nelie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I would know it was you.LOL. Isn't it awful, sometimes I prove read and need to prove read again. I have had to get back on my post and add letters or delete them . Or I have left complete words out. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteOops! I do know how to spell my name.:) Nellie is what I should have typed. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can see how those little cuties keep you on your toes!! I consider myself forewarned!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a very, very nice comment on my current post. You make it all so worthwhile! :)
Jane xx
Blondie, You will be a hit when you are a nana to some little ones.:) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI'm interested in particular where the first photo was taken. Though there are many parks and green spaces around here, to find anything rural looking you have to travel west or north about 30 or 40 miles. Western Ma. in particular looks nothing like eastern Ma.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your time with the little ones.
Boston Boy, that first picture is across the road from our house. I thought the sky looked pretty, the sun was setting, you can see the reflection on the two short post. I love having fun with the grands, but they are growing so fast. Emma is our youngest granddaughter and she's , ten. Glad to see you are enjoying your retirement, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt will seem so quiet now, Susie!
ReplyDeleteKimberly, I turn the TV on for company, some times. Sad. Do you ever feel lonely, when it's just you and your husband ?
Deletexoxo,Susie
That is interesting that they cut the wood already for the winter season. I haven't had a wood burning fireplace for a few years, and I really miss it. These are pretty flowers, Susie, and I love the vibrant pink color.
