I wonder if pumpkins will go on sale now. Not everyone was bought for the Halloween season.
These little basket jack-o-lanterns faces could be turn around for the thanksgiving décor.
I know that Horton's in Tipton will be setting up for the Christmas market time. But I have enjoyed all their wonderful things, they have had out for fall. Speaking of fall...well today is not going to feel that warm,. It's going to be more like winter around our area. Some rain, wind, maybe sleet and snow flakes.
Get your gloves, hat, a coat, and stay warm. Bundle your little guys for trick or treating tonight. XO
Umbrellas are in order for tonight in the PacNWest!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween, Susie!

Hi Lynne, Wishing you a fun Halloween too. I may need that umbrella this morning already. LOL. Blessings for a great weekend. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI keep my pumpkins through Thanksgiving, but I know the stores want to get rid of them to make way for Christmas. Snow predicted here tonight. Too cold, to soon. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteLaura, I do too, because I do not make jack-o-lanterns . I knew I was not the only one dreading this cold spell. Stay warm and safe. xoxo,Susie
DeleteCold here, too! Wonder if we'll still get trick-or-treaters? Many leftover store pumpkins here are donated to the animals at the zoo...
ReplyDeleteLinda, I hope the little treaters wrap up well. Especially gloves on those little hands. That is a great idea of feeding the pumpkins to zoo animals. I break mine up after thanksgiving and feed to our squirrels. Enjoy your weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI still plan to enjoy pumpkin all the way to Thanksgiving! In fact, I'm not through with my pumpkin recipe files! Cold is the prediction here, along with some rain later today. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, Don't laugh, but I could pumpkin bread all year long. My favorite pumpkin thing is the seasonal ice creams that is in the stores right now. I saw where there could be a winter mix in the mountains. Brr, stay warm. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYeah, it sounds like the trick or treaters will be braving the cold tonight! We have a pumpkin patch in our area that is LOADED with pumpkins this time of year. I think after Halloween is over they use an fun trebuchet to launch them over the fence into the pasture. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey should have sold the pumpkins cheaper.. But maybe animals will get to eat some of the busted ones. LOL. We are getting colder here. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI drove by the pumpkin patch on the way to the library this morning and it said half price! Enjoy your day my friend! Happy Halloweenie hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, Linda ta Isty bits and pieces said the pumpkins around there are donated to the zoo for food. Good idea. I will keep mine till after thanksgiving and then break them up for our squirrels. It's getting colder . xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe keep pumpkins through Thanksgiving if they don't rot...Happy Halloween...
ReplyDeleteI hope ours stay intact till after thanksgiving...then the squirrels can have them. LOL. Hope you are staying warm, my it's cold here. xoxo,Susie
DeleteThey'll hopefully be used for Thanksgiving decorations throughout the Autumn season.
ReplyDeleteCold, rain and possibly snow flakes here for All Hallows Eve.
Have a safe one :)
~Jo
Thank you Jo. I hope this little prelude to winter is just that...not something that's here to stay, just yet. Blessings to you this weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt's cold and windy here tonight too! We didn't get that many trick or treaters because of the weather. Guess all of the stores will be flooded with Christmas decorations now!
ReplyDeleteKelly, I think the Christmas stuff was on the next aisle.LOL When I went to hobby lobby in Sept...looking for summer discounts , there were none, it was Christmas stuff already. I just am not ready for all the cold. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI wonder all these same things. Guess I should ask. 😊 like you said they still can be used in a different way! I had to wear my winter coat today..brrr
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Gert, I wore a sweater and raincoat yesterday...I hate getting my winter coat out. Do not like driving in them. Our pumpkins may not last, we are to have a frost/freeze . The squirrels may have a big dinner soon. LOL xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, It is even cold/windy down in GA this weekend. I enjoy fall décor so very much. I started a new blog if you get a chance to stop. Mildred Hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi-
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog this morning over coffee.
When I saw your post, it reminded me that I wanted to try and get some actual pumpkin stems to try and make those velvet pumpkins everyone has.
Thanks for the reminder!

Susie, I just love to see the pumpkins in the Fall. I hope they stay around for a little while longer. I love those little jack-o-lantern pots. I bet you can't wait to see the Christmas goodies at Horton's coming up. Be sure to show us some pictures.
ReplyDeleteHappy November!
love,
~Sheri
