These are photos of one of my favorite junk stores. It's in Kokomo , Indiana. It's called the Treasure Mart. The original store is in a 3 storied building. But this one is near Lowe's.
Since we need to go to Lowe's on Monday.....well doesn't it make sense to go here too?
I'll have to think about what I would like to buy. I would like a couple baskets. I see this big blue coffee pot and think vase. :):) I have to have a purpose to buy something now. Because it can become clutter if not used.
I loved going to this store with my mom. She would see things that she could make a story from, something that she would remember from her youth.
Today is to be so nice here. I am going to spend part of the day with my daughter and granddaughter.. Hope you are with loved ones . XO
wow, some great things there!!! Your mom would be great to have with this shop, sounds like you will have a great day,
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie, I did enjoy looking at old thing with my mom. Bless her heart. She loved the good will stores too. Have a great Saturday. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a great place!!! I do think you need a junking trip there. I love that your Mom would tell the stories that seeing those different things evoked. How great is that? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDiana, My mother grew up very poor, so she loved junking too. I miss her so much. I will do a post on one of my mom's stories one day. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour trip to that store sounds completely justified to me! I often find things in antique stores that remind me of something I grew up with too.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I knew some of you would totally agree with me wanting to junk. LOL. Love it ! I like seeing some of that stuff...but oh my, I have been place when you have to truly call it junk. But recently I saw a sign made out of broken tols and gears , that normally would be junk. It was cute. So who knows. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
