The wind blew hard all night, and drifted the snow we had. This fenced area is our wood pile. There will be shoveling to get in there. LOL
It's has been so crazy cold I wanted to see flowers. Here's some pansies from two years ago. So sweet and colorful.
This is from one of the displays at Horton's two Springs ago. Pretty !! My daughter , Kathy, emailed me and said she had ordered me some seed catalogs from the Burpee Company. Oh I can't wait till they get here.
I am amazed at the colder temperatures that some of you in the south are getting. We expect it here, I wonder if the southerners are prepared. I saw on the news where Jacksonville , Florida was having ice and snow. Yikes. My brother lives in Alabama. He still has the snow shovel he had when he lived here in Indiana. So I know he keeps that around.
I hope all of you are warm and safe. Hey, 2 weeks of January is about up. XO
We have no snow here, and our temps today are actually predicted to be a degree above freezing; still cold at night, though. Snow pics look so pretty. Such a shame it can cause such problems. I always enjoy one good snowfall during the winter, but that rarely happens here. Have a great day, Susie! Stay warm and safe! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, Our cold snap has gone on longer than first predicted. The sun is trying to shine today, did not at all yesterday. The wind is blowing the snow so badly, one can't see very far. Hope you are enjoying some home time. xoxo,Susie
Deletewhen Christmas is over I am just ready to move to spring! thanks for some sunshine of flowers you showed.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I am almost to that point in my life. One snow is almost one too many . LOL.. I will be excited to see the pansies and violas at Horton's little greenhouse corner of their store. Blessings, xox,Susie
Deletep.s. I always love seeing the little shed with the watering cans on your header.
It really did blog up on the fence. We had a cold wind but it's 60 today so I can't complain. Happy weekend my friend! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, So glad some one is having nice weather. The map of the U.S. looks bad. It was another cold windy days. The sun did shine and I am thankful for that. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, please bundle up, it sounds so cold where you live. It's been pretty cold here too, but no snow. I have to go to the mountains, about an hour away, to see the snow. The flower pictures are just what we need today. :~)
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Hi Sheri, I am getting ready for warmer temperatures. LOL. I used to go to Florida for 10 days in Feb. did that for over 20 years. I need to start doing it again. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYes, Susie I miss those bright colors during these cold Winter days, but it does make you look forward to Spring flowers.

Gert, I am glad you are having a warm up. We will do better by wed. of next week. In the mean time, it's fire in the fireplace, soups, and sweaters. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteMost of us are experiencing the extreme cold but I as you wonder about the southern states. This doesn't happen very often down there. It's about 17 degrees as I write this.
ReplyDeleteThink spring.
Boston Boy, These winter winds make it a bit rough. We may have better weather by wed. Thank God the sun have been shining....I would be really crazy if it were not. Carry extra things in your car, I am sure you know the list :) Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
