What I Bought....
From the Kohl's store we went to Goodwill. Ted bought 20 dollars worth of candles, to use in his fire starters. I did ask to have one new candle for myself. :):) I was very interested in a set of nice dishes. I may have to go by myself to look at dishes. As Ted is not into that. LOL. He won't look at the book section either. I was tired from all the walking around we did and it was time for lunch , so we went to Bob Evans. Always some good food there.
Today is another cloudy day. I have to pick up my cholesterol meds in town. That will be a quick trip. I do not like to be in the drugstores at this coughing, sneezing, snotty nose time of the year. I will use hand sanitizer as soon as I get in my car and wash my hands once I am home. My daughters call me a germ-a-phobe...well it pays to be . Enjoy this day XO

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday. I bought some fake roses and some home decor they had on sale. I was disappointed they did not have any craft supplies on sale.ReplyDelete
Hi Susan, It must be that time of year for the Hobby-Lobby....because there were no craft supplies on sale in Kokomo either. I did see stamps on sale. None of the craft paints were on sale. I did see they have some chalky paints there now. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
You got some good deals. I'm going to look for some of those chalkboard labels...how neat! And I always use the cleaner at Wally world, too! lol Hugs!ReplyDelete
Diane, There's pump sanitizer at the pharmacy in town. I am not touching that thing.LOL. I like the wipes at Walmart. I am going to put some of those vinyl stick on chalktags on some jars that used to have candles in them. Once the jars are cleaned and polished up ...they have that seal on the lid...you could store candy , coffee, or tea in them. Sweet. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
I love those chalkboard labels, what a neat idea.ReplyDelete
Seems like a lot of the stores are low on inventory, I'm wondering if it's due to the container back-up at the docks ?
Be well !
Jo, I must have been under a rock...I did not know of dock back ups. But I would not be surprised. I have seen the docks In California before. So much stuff. I am going to be using those tags soon. I'll post how well I like them. Blessings for a great weekend. xoxo,SusieDelete
I'm a germ a phobe too I suppose, lol, my girls tell me that too!! I would love some of the chalk board lables!! What a great idea! I told my husband I had said I would stop blogging because of vision and he was so upset, he said why would I stop when I had him to help, so here I am,ReplyDelete
Laurie, Please give Garry a hug from me and many others....we do not want you to stop blogging. I love the stories of your childhood, your father and mother too. I love seeing your pictures old or new. Blessings dear friend, xoxo,SusieDelete
I love going to Hobby Lobby. Haven't been in a while. Hope all is well with you and your family. Lots of hugs, xoReplyDelete
Hi Susie, We are all okay here. Hope you are doing better...getting those meds regulated. I love going to H-L and catching big sales...boy I have not been to any lately there. I never pay full price for fake flowers there. LOL. Take care and enjoy your weekend, xoxo,SusieDelete
You certainly got some great deals. Our day is cloudy too; we did walk 1.5 miles already though.ReplyDelete
Have a fantastic weekend.
Noreen, That is so good that you have walked already today. I like walking, with or without others...It clears my thoughts. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
You had a very successful shopping day, Susie. I can't wait to see what you do with all those things. Snow is on the way. Have a wonderful weekend.ReplyDelete
Missy, The weather here ahs been so good...it's almost sad for the snow to return. Although it's some time till spring...I am ready. LOL. I have cleaned out some yankee candle jars and I think I'll use those chalkboard stickers on them. I'll show them when I do. Enjoy your weekend. xoxo,SusieDelete
It sounds like a successful shopping day! Enjoy your new clothes! xo NellieReplyDelete
I liked the deal I got on those clothes. Probably would have shopped a bit more if Teddy had not been with me. :):) Hope your weekend is fun and stay warm. xoxo,SusieDelete
Love all your finds- you did good! I would love some of those labels, so need to check at walmart. Our Hobby Lobbys are an hour away either way we go and too much for me. I understand about making another trip alone...thankfully, Craig likes what I like or humors me. He never remarks about how much something is, either. Hubsters can really put a dent in shopping fun.ReplyDelete
Tete, truly Teddy is very good and fun to shop with....but I just feel I could take a little extra time to look at certain things. LOL. I do not need no one more dish...but oh my I love them. xoxo,SusieDelete
Pretty tulips! Nice new finds at Kohl's. Love deals.ReplyDelete
Hi Deb, Thank for stopping by. Hope you are doing well. Enjoy your weekend, stay safe. xoxo,SusieDelete
I'm sort of a germophobe myself. Judy is sick as a dog with some virus. Her doctor asked her where she'd been, and she said Walmart. He said: "Well, enough said." Pays to be careful.ReplyDelete
Brenda, I am thinking I don't want to be out in crowds as bad as some of these illnesses sound. People are complaining of coughing for weeks on end Take care of yourself...you have not had a very good year. I know you've had some tough days. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
I am not a germ-o-phobe. If I were, I could never work where I do. Some of those library books are very dirty. We take alcohol and clean them if we have time. Most of the time we don't. If we cleaned every book that would be all we would be doing all day every day. We get about 1,000 people in the library each day.ReplyDelete
We do not have Hobby Lobby here. In fact, we do not have any craft stores. I usually get my things at Dollar Tree. The yarn and fabric I get at Wal-Mart because that is the only place to get them. I don't go to Wal-Mart very often because I do not like it.
We are getting ready for our snow storm tomorrow morning. Of course it is my Saturday to work. At least it isn't far from home and the buses run pretty good even on weekends.
Take care, Susie.
Kathy Just be sure to wash your hand with sanitizer every chance you get. I know libraries are full of germs and people will go there even sick. I saw where some nasty weather is east of here. Take care going out in it. xoxo,SusieDelete
We can't be too careful with those nasty germs!!ReplyDelete
Nonnie, Seems the germs are getting stronger. I think I could get those measles ...I sure never had any vaccines growing up. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Hey the sun is shining right now! Quick, go soak it up because it won't last long! Sounds like you were in my stomping ground! Did you know we now have two Goodwill stores? We do. The new one is on the West side of town on Sycamore Street. I buy Valspar chalkboard paint at Lowe's and keep it inside. It lasts for a few years. Have you seen those colored ball jars? JoAnn Fab has quite a few of them for $2.99 ea (use your coupon!) Those flowers would be cute in the colored ball jars. Oh, and the Goodwill shopping...I never spend enough to use my coupon either!ReplyDelete
Cindy, You have me all excited about another goodwill. I didn't know there was anew one. I will check those ball jars out. Hope to run into you again one day. Let's think spring. xoxo,SusieDelete
Well it's snowing as I write this and I to have to go out and by my meds. I don't want to shovel! Your decorating makes me think of spring and a trip to you know where.ReplyDelete
Boston Boy, I have counted the days till spring...you know there's always a chance of snow even then...but I know it won't last. :):) Be safe, I know there's a bad band of snow, ice and rain piling up together. Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Oh, these young kids, Susie. They don't realize we're older and have to protect ourselves from sickness. I really like the shirt and sweater that you bought from Kohl's. I was just thinking of going to Kohl's today. I love Hobby Lobby too. I find goodies there every time. Those chalkboard labels are so cool. And your pink flowers are going to look very nice this spring.ReplyDelete
