Good Views & News.....

When I went to my daughter Liz's on Thursday, I took some pictures around her area. This is a beautiful  wheat field across the road. What a beautiful sky.
Here are the redbud and dogwood trees along the driveway.
In the backyard, there's a drop off hillside. You can see the creek that flows through the bottom part of Liz, Matt, and Emma's property. Emma has found a mushroom here.Oh that just makes me laugh.  Papaw made them all a mushroom stick . When Emma found that mushroom she flew in the house to get her mushroom stick that is propped by the fireplace.  She keeps it inside because papaw put a little yellow lab dog on the end.
In the area between these woods is where Liz watches deer. She says she has also seen coyotes.
Here is Emma's swing set.  Papaw put this up for her when Liz was fighting cancer. Emma just about wore it out that year. This little fort on top , she called her playhouse.   She doesn't play on it much any more being 11 years old now. But they will keep it for Layla Rose to play on when she comes over.
Here's my good news.  My sister Barb, the one who had a mini stroke, will be going into a regular room on Monday. That is a good sign. Although I have no more news on her stroke, what kind, where the blood came from, I feel that God is answering our prayers. Thanks to all of you wonderful bloggers and friends for your prayers and kind words.
Wishing all moms a happy mother's day, tomorrow. XO

    1. Thank you June. One year that field was turnips...some farmers plant turnips to enrich the soils, they just plow the turnips under. I am thrilled my sister will be out of ICU this coming week. I truly love time with my daughters. Blessed Mother's Day to you June. xoxo, Susie

  7. I love the wide open country-how beautiful these pictures are. I guess wild animals are part of the deal. Heck, I live in the city and I have a litter of racoons under my shed!

  11. That is good news about your sister, Barb, Susie. I will say a prayer for her. Liz' area is so lovely and peaceful, and I just love that play set. Jess had one when she was a little girl, but it wasn't as nice as this one. How wonderful that they will keep it through the years.

I bet it is a sight when Liz sees those deers. I used to see them often at the park before we moved to our new house. That's why I called it the "deer park." They are such precious animals.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, My girls wore the little swing set they had to pieces. They looked more like monkeys than little girls, the way they climbed that thing. The scary time for deer and drivers around here is in the fall, when the harvest is being brought in.That gets the deer running. Hope you still get to see things in the wild. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
