Material I Chose...

Found this fabric at the Sprawl-mart, as Ed Crankshaft, the cartoon school bus driver calls it. :):) It was  a dollar-fifty a yard, so cheap. Good enough for cushion covers for the chaise on the porch. Now if I can just get busy enough to get them done.   Then I could show pictures of that, couldn't I ?
We had some storms and heavy rains yesterday and last night. More coming our way today. Hopefully this coming week will be nicer.  I am in shock of all the rains and flooding in some states, especially Texas. Praying for all of those that have lost loved ones and their homes.
Thank you ,my blog family, for your kind words and prayers for Ray. He is still resting . We know it's just a matter of time with the morphine induced coma. This is results from Ray being diagnosed with mesothelioma and it spreading to his bones. Diagnosed at stage 4, just last month.
Wishing all of you a great Sunday. XO

  4. I'm with you Susie. I live just across from Trentom, Michigan, in a place called Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada along the Detroit River and it hasn't stopped raining since yesterday. I feel waterlogged right now but rain to me is life. Have a great day Susie. See ya.

  9. That fabric is so springy. I have been thinking I would like to have new cushions for our chairs, but haven't found anything like that!
I said a prayer for your Ray. I am so sorry. I know that is hard.
And, the floods here are shocking to me as well. In years past, I would see flooding in other parts of the country and wonder how they made it through such things. Ours is bad, but thankfully, no loss of property or life. I feel so badly for the ones who have suffered great loss.

  11. We just never know, do we? Dealing with the same thing here with a brother-in-law that is 1200 miles away. A death watch and feeling helpless to do anything for them.

LOVE your material. That will make a beautiful cover, Susie- xo Diana

    1. Diana, It is sad for everyone involved. I don't know if it's because I lost my own brother earlier this year, but I feel so emotional about Ray. I think his spirit is so gentle. Thank you for the prayers. xoxo,Susie

    1. Mona, I am sorry about your mother. I know the shipyard workers were about all exposed to asbestos. Ted's male family members worked construction as pipefitters and wielders ...they were around asbestos in some situations. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  16. Oh Susie, I feel so sad when I hear about Ray, I don't like to see anyone suffering. May God be with him now, and I'm also thinking of you and Ted during this devastating time.

I really like this fabric that you chose. It's definitely something I would choose myself. It's cheerful and bright, just like summer.

Sending love and comfort to you, dear Susie.
