These flowering crabapples are in front of a cute little house, Right on the main street going into town. I love how very bright they are, and just about the same size.
This is the lilac bush(tree) , that my sister and I stood near just so we could smell that wonderful scent. This picture just doesn't show how very blue looking the flowers are.
This white lilac is in the back yard where I grew up. Mom was so happy when she planted this bush. Daddy pulled his car into the yard once to wash and wax it and backed into this bush.....mom was not at all happy with him. Dad staked it back up and it grew fine.
This kid's playhouse looked so cute, I had to get a photo. It has a wee flowering tree of it's own. I think the children who lived here are grown and gone now. Their father keeps it nice even now.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Don't forget your mothers on Sunday. If you still have your mother you are blessed. Hug her for me. xo
Hmm. Yeah, I wouldn't be very happy with him either for backing into my lilac! Can't wait until our flowering crab and lilacs are in bloom. With all this rain we're getting things should start popping pretty soon. Have a wonderful weekend, Susie!
ReplyDeleteMy dad could have a look on his face like just caught with his hand in the cookie jar.LOL My lilacs are out and the crabapple is just starting to look nice....and here is the wind blowing like crazy...I hate that it'll strip the blooms of the trees. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI drive by my house I grew up in to see the Redbud my Dad planted for my Mom on Mothers Day. Love the lilacs, I have a white one....love the smell!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I know you can not look at that redbud tree and not think of your parents. That's how I am with lilacs...my mom loved them. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, xoxo,Susie
Deletesuch a wonderful post, beautiful blossoms, my Mum is gone but Garry's Mum is here, we are lucky to have her,
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I don't think we ever get over longing for our parents. I miss mommy so much. Glad you still have Garry's mom. Don't forget to let her know how special she is. Blessings to you for a wonderful weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThese are all so beautiful. I like the way the little playhouse is still maintained. My neighbour has a lilac tree that hangs over our fence. I take in great lungfuls of the scent when I am getting in and out of the car.
ReplyDeleteTracey, I swear lilacs are intoxicating. I like them better outside just scenting the breezes, more than in a vase in the house. Happy Mother's Day to you. xoxo,Susie
DeleteDon't you just love the air at lilac time? You turn a corner, and all of a sudden, it's magic!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Tipton in bloom!
I will hug my Mom for you. I am so blessed to be into my 60's, and have both of my parents to hold.
And hugs to you, my friend!
Happy Mother's Day to you dearest, Susie!
withLove!

DeleteEverything looks so pretty there. I may have to take a ride around town today to see what's blooming. Love crab apples.
ReplyDeleteThanks for everything this week.
Love the little fairy garden post. Too cute. I have thought about doing one, and need to gather small things to get one started.
Tete, I get little ceramics from goodwill to put in them, like dogs, cats, birds. Hope you have a safe weekend. Plus a wonderful Mother's day. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSuch pretty flowering trees. I am lucky to still have my mom. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteLaura, Give your mom plenty of hugs if you can...does she live nearby? Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLooks like you had a beautiful day for photos, all of which came out quite nicely.
ReplyDeleteYou will find that the times you do not have a camera, is when you see something interesting.....LOL Hope you get to enjoy some wonderful weather this weekend. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love the flowering trees and the lilac bushes Susie! And the little playhouse is adorable.
ReplyDeleteBeth, I do love seeing that little house. The father of that house built it for his children and still keeps it nice. They have the cutest property. Hope you have a wonderful time this weekend. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou have such a variety of blooming trees there. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get to spend it with some of your kids! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI could have shown more pictures if my computer loaded faster. The Bradford pear trees have already bloomed and leafed out. I know my daughter Kathy is coming down from Elkhart this weekend. So I think I'll get to see all four of my daughters. Which is what I love. being with them. Hope you have a great Sunday also. xoxo,Susie
DeleteVery pretty flowers, Susie. I keep waiting for the lilac here to become larger and have greater blooms, but that seems to be taking awhile. Happy Mother's Day! xo Nellie
DeleteNellie, My lilacs have bloomed...it's still a young bush so I do not want to cut the flowers off yet. I hope your Mother's Day is ahppy too. xoxo,Susie
DeleteLilacs smell just wonderful. The scent carries really far. I love the flowering trees, they just don't stay that way long enough. Have a nice Mothers Day.
ReplyDeleteDebby, You are right about the flowering trees...the wind is super strong today and it has blown the apple blossoms around. Hope you are doing well and enjoy your weekend. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love these pictures! Wishing you a blessed Mother's day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the good wishes. I hope your Mother's Day is wonderful, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love blooming trees! I wonder if the blue one is a ceanothnus...I can't be sure of the spelling, but it looks very much like the one I know from England! And I know a lilac tree from England too, but we don't have them in Georgia, but I love the fragrance!
ReplyDeleteKay, That tree is a lilac...but it just had the bluest looking flowers and I had never seen that shade before. The strange thing is...that house was just at the end of the old block I lived on in town. :) Happy Mother's Day to you. Hope it wonderful, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe trees are gorgeous, but oh my goodness, that playhouse is so cute! xoxo
