Things are looking better around here. The trees are blooming. The flowers are up.
Some yards look very nice. I have had to call the chem-lawn people again. They act like they can't remember from one visit to the next what's going on. They told us to call them if the yard looked bad..well it doesn't look as good as we are paying for it to look. There is clover , spurge , and even some crabgrass ....so they are coming back out on Thursday...and I am not paying them for this call.
Now the thing that is looking better , that makes me happy....is my daughter Angie. She was up some yesterday and felling better. Still having some headache pain. Took aspirin for that. Called the drs. , got on-line to follow the report on what she went through and what they found out. Which was nothing. So she is calling her family dr. again on Monday, who is a new dr.,in our area as her dr. just retired. I think all this alone can be stressful. She received a paper while in the ER that had a website she could follow to get reports of her "visit" ....she still had to call the hospital, because even though she typed in the code, it would not work. Gaaa. Why would anyone have a migraine????
I thank all of you beautiful people for your prayers and good wishes. My daughter will be on line today to see them for herself. I just wanted to thank all of you. You have touched my heart. xo
I know its so frustrating dealing with medical issues, there are so many causes of migraines, too many, if she ha no history of them it she coul still start having them, some people do for a multitude of reasons, the wweather, stress, foods, hormones, light, smells, all sorts of things can cause, them , even a crooked neck, if the scans say her brain is clear then that alone is a wonderful thing, you may never know why it happened and God willing she will never know that pain again, you must have a lovely lawn, the blossoms are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, My daughter has had migraines before but not to this extreme. I think there were 3-4 things that lead up to this..number one being hormones...gaaa. She'll have to be more in tune to her body. Our yard is just a yard...but I do try to make it nice...these flowers are not mine, But the apple blossoms are next door. LOL. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeletePraying your daughter gets relief soon. Your flowers are pretty also.
ReplyDeleteSylvia, Thankfully my daughter getting better...I told her not to push it. Some people you almost have to sit on and she is one of those, that won't take time for herself. Blessings for agreat weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI am so glad your daughter is doing better. Hopefully, they will be able to track down the source but that might never happen. It might just be a rogue headache that will never happen again. That happens, too. I will keep her in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteYour lawn/gardens look beautiful from here. I hope the lawn care guys can take care of the problems.
Have a great Saturday, Susie! xo Diana
Diana, Thank you for the prayers, I honestly think they have helped us all. Angie is slowly starting to feel like her old self...I told her not to rush it though. That lawn man better get rid of this crabgrass...cause it is making me crazy. LOL. Take care and enjoy your weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeletePrayers for Angie!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are lovely Susie!
Thank you so much Beth. Hope you are doing well...I think our weather is finally shaping up . Took a long time. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe can't help but worry about our kids! I'm glad she's doing better and hope she can figure out what to do to help. Enjoy your weekend my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, I say once a "mom" , we are always a "mom" I think all moms want their kids healthy and happy. That is what I pray for them all the time. :):) Hope your weekend is fun and pretty, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie!
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks lovely!
The picture of Springtime!
Migraines are always such a challenge for the medical field. I hope Angie finds relief soon.
Blog friends are the best when it comes to prayers and hugs.
withLove!
You are so right about our blog families...they have been so kind and understanding. I am blessed to have found so many wonderful people through blogging. My daughter is slowly getting better. She has 5 more weeks of school. They just did I-Steps. Have a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSo glad that Angie is better. You will get to the bottom of it. And the yard is beautiful. I can't see any problem, but I'm not rolling out the dough either.
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate paying for something twice?? LOL makes me nuts. Thank you for the wishes for my daughter. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWith all the stuff blooming around there, I wouldn't be surprised if migraines are triggered. Hope she can get to the bottom of this and get relief. That's no fun. On the other hand, it does look beautiful there now. Aren't you SO glad winter is OVER!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many things that could have brought on a migraine, if that was what happened. I just want to know. Being in the dark is stressful also. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI used to get migraines when I was in my twenties. Sometimes they would last for days, and I would have to crawl if I needed to get out of bed. It turned out it was a response to eating shellfish, and once I stopped, so did the migraines. I do feel very sorry for people who get them for no obvious reason, because they are so debilitating. I do hope your daughter can get hers sorted out.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note, your garden is looking very pretty.
Tracey, Migraines are hard to understand...I know foods, allergies, stress and many other things are involved. Hope you have a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteMy husband has migraines, though they seemed to be more severe when he was younger. Once he hyperventilated, and I didn't know what was happening. When I took him to the ER, the receptionist thought he was having a heart attack! Scary times, and I know this has been an anxious time for Angie and all the family. Prayers continue for her complete recovery.
ReplyDeleteWe use no pesticides at all on our lawn. My husband says he mows the dandelions and wild onions. We like to have clover, in hopes of enticing some honey bees, so needed for pollinating our vegetable garden. They have been on the decline. xo Nellie
Nellie, I think some stress had to do with it ...if it were just a migraine, don't know for sure. Her husband just got called back to work , after 10 weeks off. Her daughter just got a new job and is playing catch up with her bills. Plus there was I-Steps this past week.
DeleteI do not mind clover myself. but hate crabgrass. The woods in the back can help our bees.:) It's not treated. Hope you and your husband are doing well this weekend. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
I'm so glad Angie is doing better! And praying she will be healed all together, Susie.
ReplyDeleteYou flowers sure look pretty, even if your lawn isn't so good right now!
Kimberly, Thank you for the good wishes and prayers. Hope you are enjoying your adventure and the grandkids. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie (:)
ReplyDeleteI hope she feel back to normal real soon..
Alaska..yes very cold and a short- short summer..me too no way---- I hate the cold!!LOL
Hugs,Patty
Thank you Patty. I just came home from checking on my daughter. She was doing some on line checking about migraines. She is much better...maybe not 100 percent yet..but I am thankful for her feeling better. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteI do hope your daughter feels better. A good friend of ours used to get the worst migraines. I hope she gets the help she needs and is looking for.
Thank you for your comment on my "Jesse" post. It means so much to me and Nel. I'm so glad that I have blog friends like you to share my joy and my grief with. It makes all the difference in the world.
Have a nice weekend, Susie.
love,
~Sheri
Sheri, I have needed my blog family this week and they have been there for me...it means so much. It's not all about decorating, crafting, or gardening. It's about a kinship. I hope you daughter can enjoy her memories of jesse and not pine too much. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Angie is feeling lots better today. Migraines are such a puzzling thing sometimes. My daughter, and grandson started having them at age three. It's heartbreaking. Hopefully Angie will be able to get some answers.
Your flowers look beautiful!! I am still waiting for mine to bloom here.
Have a happy Saturday, dear friend.
Debbie
xoxoxoxoxo
Debbie, thank you. Angie is better today...I went to spend some time with her and then I just now called her. I will go back to her house tomorrow. She has her sone there and her husband is due home. That would be so scary when a child could have a headache like that. The weather next week is to be much nicer. Blessings to you sweet Debbie, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHope your daughter if feeling better. I have had only one migraine in my life...and it was due to a life changing job that totally over-whelmed me. I didn't know what I was doing from one day to the other. Plus my husband was ill. I remember my head bursting, sick to my stomach, lights bothering me, it must have lasted a day or so...I must have lost some memory too....cause I don't remember the outcome.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so scary and somewhat like what Angie experienced. She had some stressful things going on.. I would just love to know for sure. I hope you never have that again..and I hope my daughter never does either. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie...I hope Angie feels better soon. I've never had a migraine and I thank God because I don't handle those things well. I never get headaches and when I do on a rare occasion, I'm convinced it's the end of the world. I'll say a prayer for her. Keep us updated.
ReplyDeleteYour yard is looking pretty! This is the first year that I am doing my own weeding and feeding since about 10 years ago. I just got tired of our lawn service messing things up. We lost the entire front lawn to grubs in 2012 and they never tried to prevent it. So now I have a service that just cuts the grass. I feel like I'm in control again. if you do your research and ask questions at Home Depot or your garden nursery...you have all the tools you need to have a great lawn. Okay, I sound like a commercial! Ha! Can I come and work on your lawn??!!
XO,
Jane
I hope your daughter is doing better, Susie! Your yard is so pretty! We've had to do that with the yard people before too. They say they spray for weeds, and then wouldn't you know it, our yard is full of dandelions!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so pretty. What a difference a few warm days make...Sure hope Angie gets some answers and is soon back to full strength.
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like you have enough advice about what could have caused the migraine. I had one once that was so bad I was throwing up. I never knew what caused it. I blame everything on hormones!
ReplyDeleteCindy Bee
Oh Susie..I totally understand what your daughter is going through. Nothing seems to go easily as they promise.
ReplyDeleteI continue to pray for her..
Blessings,
Gert
Sorry Susie..I missed your post about your daughter..Hope all is well..Why should you have to tell Chem lawn how to do their job?? Hope you are having a beautiful weekend..
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your daughter is on the mend. I'm in a catch up mode at the moment. I've missed a couple of days. Thanks for your visits.
