I have to say, the lawn is much greener after all the rain we had the past few weeks. I can still find some spots that need a bit more seeding. The past two days have been sunny and nice. That also helps with the grass growing. I don't think the jasmine is going to be very full this year. Some things were hurt during the winter and the struggle spring had in arriving.
Ted went golfing this morning. The fellows like to tee off early when the weather allows. Then they are finished early enough that the day still has plenty of time to do other things. Soooo, when Ted Bear gets home, we are going to the store to stock up on some things.
Hope all of you have a great day. Wishing you some sunshine too. xo
that is a beautiful lawn, sounds like your day is all planned, have fun!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I am dressed and waiting LOL. I will see what Ted says when he returns home...he may want to work on the back flowerbed with me. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour lawn looks so pretty. So nice to see "NO SNOW!"
ReplyDeleteJapolina, you are so right...no snow is good !!! Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour lawn looks beautiful Susie!!
ReplyDeleteBeth, Now if I just had more flowers to see. The year that our lawn man finally got our yard in shape, he passed away. So sad. I sure miss him. We have chem-lawn now. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour lawn looks nice. Ours looks like a forest. Our yard service ( amust have for us) pulled into our lane during the tornado warnings last week. They turned around a left and haven't been back. With all this rain we really have a forest of grass and weeds. Oh well......not complaining really. hugs
ReplyDeleteDebby, Some times it's hard to pin those lawn people down. Seems they always come when we aren't home. Probably cuts down on complaints LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou have a beautiful lawn. We could sure use a good rain for the grass but of course I love the sunshine best. We are having to get out in the mornings to hike or bike now. Enjoy your day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHope you get the rain at night while sleeping:):) That's when I like rain. Helps me sleep. Thanks for the good day wishes, xoxo,Susie
DeleteMy Little Lulu would absolutely LOVE your house. Beach lots are small and very few houses on our lane have grass. If Lulu saw your grass she would begin running around like the Tasmanian Devil.
ReplyDeleteOh that makes me laugh...I have seen dogs just jump and run once they are outside. It tickles me to watch them. Blessings for a great day, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour lawn is pretty Susie. We have had a lot of rain and it has helped ours as well as the perennials. They have just gotten so big! Have fun at the store and don't forget the goodies. lol! I have a sweet tooth.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Jann, My trip to the store was short..I got in the truck and whined, "I didn't get any chocolate ".LOL. I did get some petunias. xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt took awhile for our lawn to show up too, but now it's looking nice. After the winter we had I'm so glad to see color in the yard. Have fun at the store. I'm heading there too in about an hour.
ReplyDeleteKathy, Ted and I like to sit out and enjoy our yard. Our neighbors never sit out...I can't believe people can stay in their home all the time. I want to get out as much as possible, since winter was so long. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSunshine here today, Susie. I hope Ted Bear has had a good day on the golf course. My hubby passed up a chance to go in lieu of garden chores. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, Ted did not play as well as last season. But it was good for him to be with his pals. I think your husband likes gardening. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, your yard is beautiful. Mr H still works, but he makes time for golf. He and my son love to play. Shoot. I can't even putt-putt. He says he will not teach me on the golf course. I can learn like he did, in the back yard:)
ReplyDeleteI have only played a few times. It's good for them to play, as long as we don't become golf widows. LOL.xoxo,Susie
DeleteDon't you just love the grass this time of year?? So plush and green..Good to play early, you usually get done quicker too... Have a great day..
ReplyDeleteMissy, I do love to smell fresh mowed lawns. Ted loves playing early so the day isn't wasted and the temps are cooler. xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou have a lot more lawn than I do. I always wanted a riding mower but that would be silly around here.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's husband had to down size his riding mower when they moved...but honestly he could easily use a push mower.:) xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou really ARE green...and Ted went golfing? You are way ahead of us! Hope you had a great day, Susie-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDiana, I thought we were dragging abit here, but that rain and afew days of sunshine have really helped. But something were harmed through the winter. Our weeping cherry didn't bloom it's just leafing out ,a bit sparse at that. Hope it will make it this year and be fine the next. xoxo,Susie
DeleteIf you'd look for "perfect lawn" in the dictionary, the definition would be your picture. :) Lawns are pretty much low maintenance, but a lawn as good as this must have some secrets! But I guess the extra moisture from the past rains definitely helped. Hope your jasmines are doing fine. Thanks for sharing!

Susie,
ReplyDeleteHow in the world do you get your lawn this green and groomed - it's beautiful. I want a lawn like this! On the post above, I'm so glad you got to spend time with your sister, and guess what? I used to watch Young and the Restless too. It's been so many years though, and I have no idea what's going on. haha
love,
~Sheri
