Plans? What Plans?????

I did not get to go junking yesterday. But I did get to go to the hardware store. Wow-wee-wow-wow. Here's the neighbors getting their beans in.
I love seeing this, unless they hog the whole road. LOL. Our neighbor is very good about not doing that.
Time for our scarecrows to hang around. Ted made this bench from some old cedar fence posts. I love decorating with it.
Ooky, I am not touching this !! Can you see this little toad? I know they do good ,eating insects, so I let him hang around, as long as he never gets on me.
We had some pretty skies yesterday and sunshine too. I did not get to junk, but Ted treated me to a great lunch . He said , "don't you have enough junk?" What kind of question is that?  Of course I have enough, but I want to look at more. LOL So I can see a junk trip when he's not home. :):) That's what we do.
Today is rainy and dreary. The leaves have really fallen from our trees.. It is almost sad looking. The little woods in back is still holding on with a bit of color. I do not know what it will look like tomorrow after this rain. So it's laundry time.
Hope all of you are having a beautiful day. XO

  1. Hello Susie!
I am feeling so great sipping my coffee and visiting you this morning before work!
The beans and that bench! Visiting you takes me over the mountains to Pleasantville without leaving my cushy blog spot!
Wishing you and your family the best of blessings!

  2. Sorry I've been absent. I've been here and there and everywhere. That's a good thing. It keep my mind busy too. We are a farming town so I know what you mean about the combines and tractors. I have to know that the farmers are keeping our area and country alive. Frogs? Yikes. Scared to death. My brother and his friends used to chase me with frogs.

    1. Oh you made me laugh...were your brothers' name Charles and George...cause that just sounds like something my brothers would have done to , chase us with frogs. We are a big farm community around here. Some of the best soil. We need to be keeping our farms growing too. xoxo,Susie

    1. Missy, I usually do not use Halloween things, just pumpkins, gourds, mums, some things that can stay out thru Thanksgiving season too. xoxo,Susie
p.s. love the film clip of the wind blowing all your leaves around the other day.

  4. Hi dear Susie,
It's a dreary day here today, too.
Your bench is so cute. How fun you get to decorate it with the seasons. Love that photo of the sky...it's glorious!! Scenes like that always make me think of God's glory!! I so appreciate our friendship, Susie. You have always been such a support for me. Even before you started blogging. I just love you, Sweetie.

    1. Debbie, That is exactly why I love the sky, sun , moon and stars....I know that only God could have created that. It shares it with us everyday. Debbie, your friendship is special to me too. I feel you have read my mind at times. Ted says , "that could be a short story" LOL. I am going to have to tweak that boy. :):) Love you, Susie

  5. I love seeing the harvest equipment around here too. It's SO HUGE!! Like that fun little bench. I like the toad too. I think if you kiss him he will turn into a handsome prince with warts.

    1. Judy, I am not touching that eeky old toad , LOL. I hope he finds a place for this winter. I think we are going to have to hang corn out for our squirrels this winter...I can't bear to think of little critters going hungry or being cold. xoxo,Susie
P.s. that does not include spiders...no way, no how.

  6. Hi there, Want to know something funny? I grew up with toads around and they don't bother me at all; in fact, I will hold them too.
Our day started out cold, but the sun is out now and it's warming up-to about 60 degrees. Hope you are able to stay warm.
    Hugs, Noreen

    1. Hi Noreen, My daughter Liz always like toads, frogs, and even snakes. She cried once because I would not let her take a dead snake for show and tell. LOL. I need to remind her of that. :):) our day has been having sun popping out here and there. Love that. xoxo,Susie

    1. Yes, It's one of the owners of the land around here. Well it's his old house.. that fence is around an in ground pool. that was a lovely home...they built new and sold it. The people that bought only lived there about 3 years and they both have passed. The lady was 47 and died of breast cancer , just this year her husband 56 was found dead from a heart attack. So sad. It breaks my heart thinking of how they were just getting settled in there. Now the house has sold to a veterinarian, her husband and a baby. I hope they do well there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. There were so many toads in my yard when I was growing up because my house backed up to a river. So I have no fear of picking them up. Love your sweet bench, my friend. xo Laura

  10. Nope! I'm with you on leaving that toad to do his duty!
I like your little scarecrow on the bench. Wish we could trade off and have some of the rain and dreary that you're having. It would be such a blessing.
    Have a good one!

  11. I love that beautiful sky! We've had some nice sunsets this fall. I love seeing the fields being harvested this time of year, but I don't like meeting the big equipment on the highway. Most of them are very careful, tho. About the frog, I can take them over spiders. Those things terrify me. Have a nice evening!

  12. That sounds like an old saying, "Get your beans in." or "That'll get your beans in."

I'm not sure I know what you mean by
junking? Yard sales and the like?

    1. Boston Boy, Junking is going to antique shops or Goodwills. I call it junking , because it's usually on the worn side. Some times it truly is junk. Broken or in need of a paint job or over haul. :):) Hope you are doing well. I enjoyed your post today. xoxo,Susie

  13. Men NEVER get "junking", Susie. Your hubby is typical! lol

It is harvest time around here, too...but lots of corn is left standing in the field still.

Beautiful sky shots! Hope you had a great day- xo Diana

  14. They took our beans out the same day! I am glad to see them gone, but the dust was everywhere and I couldn't open the windows. We had rain this morning, but it passed very early and the sun came out. I hope you get your junk trip in soon. LOL- I love hardware stores and toads...;)

  15. Farmers are treasures! I love scenes like that. Men! 99% don't understand junking or shopping. :)
