Things You Will Need.....

For this weekend, you are going to need a nice warm muffin and a lovely cappuccino. Yes, maybe both days. :) It is cold out. Bless my soul the sun is shining again this morning. You all know how much I love that. I am probably one of the "SAD" people . Sad from the lack of sun light. I will say, too many gray days in a row really starts to wear at me. So give me sunshine.
Some of you may need one of these....to play or go to the mailbox. Isn't this a sweet sled? Makes me wish I had one for a nice Christmas decoration. We are to get measureable snow tonight and the next 3 days, I get this  from the little weather feature in our news paper.
Yesterday's putting together of my sister's apartment went very well. Her kitchen is up and going. Many pictures hung. Curtains up. Books on their shelves. She will be finished this weekend.  Thanks for all the kind wishes for her. I know your thoughts and prayers helped.
Less than two weeks till Thanksgiving.  I better start thinking about that. LOL. Wishing all of you a great weekend. Be safe. XO

  3. OMGoodness! That mug! Genoa City!
You are cracking me up, Susie!
Is that mug a keepsake from Y&R ? I watched it years ago...I may just have to DVR it to see what everyone looks like 15 years later.

You are so "right on"...it's time for morning warm up comforts..you just inspired my to head to the kitchen and make some pumpkin muffins. It is clear and frozen here in the PacNWest too!
    Happy weekend!

    1. Lynne, I got that Crimson Lights mug at the CBS gift shop when I was there for the price is right...Drew had laryngitis and we did not get to go into the show, they canceled it. It was during the writers' strike. I would have loved seeing any of the Y&R stars. I have watched Y&R since it started. :):) Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  4. Yes! The week-end will definitely call for a nice warm muffin and a hot cuppa! Also, boots, ear muffs, warm coat, and gloves might help.:-) We don't expect warming here until the end of next week. Take care! xo Nellie

  5. It's extremely cold here in North Texas. 22 degrees the other night and our highs in the 40's and cloudy. It doesn't make me sad though. I enjoy staying cozy inside and cooking soup and chili. I made cocoa the other night. Would have been nice to have a warm muffin with it. Stay warm.

    1. Nonnie, That is very cold for Texas. Some times I like to watch movies and listen to the laundry washing and drying on cold days. Or read while a pot of soup is in the crock pot. Those are cozy times. Hope you had a great day, xoxo,Susie

  8. I was so happy to see the sun today. It can almost trick me into believing that it is warm. The snow is headed our way late tomorrow night into Monday, so they say, but I always hold out hope that they are wrong. xo Laura

    1. Linda, Thank you for visiting. We have had fires in our fire place for a week now. Just enough to keep it warm...not roaring below zero fires...the kind my husband loves to make. It's the cave man in him. Keep us posted about your son, that bothers me , he is going through this. xoxo,Susie

  10. Hi Susie, Well for me(since it is still snowing), I'm drinking hot tea and have a pot of stew on the stove. I've done some sewing today, but now going to grab a book and head downstairs-to be with hubby as he watches t.v.
Glad your sister is settling in. Hope you stay warm and stay inside. Baby, it's cold outside.

  13. We've been sunny in the morning and then it get's gloomy. I don't mind the gloom...in fact, winter sun gives me a bit of a headache, I think because it's not filtered by trees. Does that make sense?

I need to get a turkey. Once I have the turkey in the house I feel calm about Thanksgiving!!

    1. Blondie, Some people do not like the glare of the sun on snow either. That can be blinding. Get that turkey girl, so you can relax...I know exactly what you mean. it makes me nuts if I fell I don't have the things I need for a big family meal. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

I know this weather is not my favorite and that more snow is coming...and so is thanksgiving! I wore my long johns today to go shopping. LOL

    1. Tete, you are right, once Brenda's things were hanging up and spread out around the apartment it was more like her home. Plus this place has bigger windows for more light. There are days I could use a pair of the long-johns. LOL. We are going to have to put our internal clock in winter mode. It's rough. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  16. Susie,
I am sending you some of our California sunshine. It's cold today, but still the sun is shining. I'm glad your sister is all moved in. It takes time to settle though, I'm still moving things around and settling in our house. It's nice that she's already got books on the shelves. Once you have books, it starts to feel like home.

Have a peaceful Sunday, and stay warm.

    love,
