Went To Horton's....

I went to Horton's Christmas preview on Saturday.  Here's that tempting fudge they make. I passed it up, but did have a sample of lemon bar and a two bite snicker doodle. They had some free tasty treats and cocoa for their customers. It was fun.
These pictures are last years...still not getting my photos, till I have just given up on for now.
I wanted to ask the Horton's where this old sleigh was, but my goodness they were so busy. Two lines waiting to check out. You would be surprised to see how many people get into that store.
I was hoping to see Cindy Bee, the bee lady from hilltop farm. She's a bee keeper, crafter, knitter, you name, she can do it, type of girl.  I met her 3 years ago at Horton's.  If you like bees check out her blog.
Well it's classmate brunch day. I need to get ready to meet up with my friends.  I missed the last one.  We may not have them through the worse months of winter. So I want to be sure to make it today.
Good wishes for all of you today. I have sunshine, Hope you do. XO

  1. Susie,
Love Horton's. I bet it is so pretty in there at Christmas time. I had some of that fudge when I was down for a vintage market show a few summers ago and it was so delish. Have fun with our breakfast club.

    1. Hi Kris, I had a fun time at the brunch..I guess they should call it breakfast really...cause that is what most order. I usually only eat a wheat toast with them. Today lots of health issues were talked about...too funny at times. We have to laugh or we'd be crying at times. xoxox,Susie

One lady heard another talking about it being tax time and just about jumped out of her chair...she had forgotten and tomorrow is Vet's day , the offices may be closed. Well that was enough to get us all rolling with laughter. Next brunch will be near Christmas...I'd like to make everyone something for a gift..so I have to put on my thinking cap. LOL. It's probably too big my for head now...seems I have not been thinking.LOL Life is good. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Nonnie, Just the smiles and laughter of people shopping and looking at things, makes it such fun. It's nice to be with happy people. Kind of rubs off. That is good. I think we could put glitter on anything and it would be more like Christmas. LOL. xoxo,Susie

And yes, that movie where she thinks she is going with her daddy brings me to my knees every time I think of it or see it and I am crying right now and can barely see if i'm spelling words right.

  11. This a coincidence. As I tuned into your blog I was drawn to the picture of the fudge while in fact I am eating fudge, very slowly, that I found in the back of the fridge that I bought on vacation a month and a half ago.

What kind of store is Horton's?

    1. Hi Boston boy, That's funny about your fudge. Man you need some ice cream to snack on or popsicles. Bless your heart. I know you are not totally healed from your dental work. When you get all healed up and 100 percent ready for real food...you'll probably want steak.LOL. Horton's is basically a hardware store. They specialize in custom blinds and paint. They have a green house, sell plants old doors and windows. But about 4 times a year they have Artisan Markets and sell everything recycled , redone, or hand crafted. You would love the owners. The Horton family, mom ,dad, a son , a daughter and grandmother. Hope you are better tomorrow. Hello to Arlene. xoxo,Susie

  14. It seems like having your classmates lunch would be most important during the harsh winter months. Do you skip them because the roads are not good for driving on in bad weather?

    1. Carol, Yes, it gets slick and nasty around these parts and hey we are getting up there in age. LOL. There's a couple of the ladies here in town I could meet for just a lunch. I am thinking of doing that too. Because we could visit better actually. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
