Going And Coming....

This is the sun setting Friday evening. (going) We had such beautiful skies yesterday . It was cold and still is, I think it will be that way for a while.
This is the sun rising as I drove to town this morning. (coming)  I can not get many beautiful sunrises out here. I decided to filter this thru the little woods.
Went into town early...why?...so I could beat all the sick people to the drugstore. Then I find out the pharmacy isn't open for another hour. Awwkkk.  Now I have to kill time. So I go to subway for a coffee. They are not making coffee by the pot any longer...they are using the little cups. So I get French vanilla. The smell was wonderful. I do not drink it right away, it's plenty hot.
I go to the park and take a few photos. This is the creek where the canoe launch is. That's the boy scout cabin across the way.
I cross the bridge and take a shot of the pool. No one is going to be in there for some time. It is frozen over.
This is our last snow. The city workers bring the snow from the town streets to the pool parking lot. Then it melts and runs into the creek.  After tonight and tomorrow, there will be much more snow piled up here. I get a few photos, jump back into the Jeep and head to the grocery store.
I get milk of course. Some things we need. Then it's time to go to the CVS. I get my meds and come right home.  Believe me, I will not be going to the drugstore again before 9:00.  I am going to try to walk around outside today ....you know, while the sun is shining.  Got to take it in, vitamin "D'.
  Stay safe this weekend. XO

  1. I just returned from CVS. I have to say they (at least this location) don't run their counter as well as Osco. CVS is one pain to deal with. This could be in my next blog. Hmmm...

    1. Boston Boy, Our CVS employees are really kind and helpful....I just wish the pharmacy would open sooner. The thing I hate the most...always having to give your birthdate...why don't they just give us a dang number , or a card of a certain color. I don't care if they know my age...it's anyone listening in to the date after the clerk has called out your name...good grief. Blessings, keep that snow shovel handy. , xoxo,Susie

  4. If we ever get snow, it melts the next day and we are left with mush. I so wish for your kind of snow. But oh the sun! It's been beautiful this week here. Lots of sunshine. Hope you have a sunshiney day.

    1. Hi Brenda, I used to think our store opened at 8:00...now they say 9:00...also the one at the grocery was not open when I went there. I think we should be able to just get a year's worth of some meds...if they are not narcotics. Hope you are doing better.. xoxo,Susie

    1. Nellie, I honestly have not seen the drugstore with the pharmacy locked up. it was like glass and metal folding doors all over the top of the counters. I was just glad I did take my camera to town with me. :) Hope you stay safe . xoxo,Susie

  8. Lovely sunset. I hate going to the pharmacy and the doctor's office this time of year. If you aren't sick when you get there you will be when you come out. xo Laura

    1. Laura, That is exactly why I wanted to go early and get out of the stores. Too many people coughing and not covering. Scary stuff going around now any way. It will be nice when the worst of the flu season is gone and the worse of the snow. Take care. xoxo,Susie

  12. Some nice shots of the area. I like getting my errands done early in the morning before everything gets too busy. I would be really happy if all businesses opened up between 6:00 and 7:00 am.

    1. Hi Cindy, I used to say that chiropractors should open at 5:00 or 6:00 because that's when factory workers are on their way to work and some times they are hurting. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  13. Susie, I loved seeing some of your town. One of the best times for me to take pictures is early in the morning. The second picture of the sunrise is just beautiful. I guess it's a good thing that the pharmacy opened later because you got to take some good pictures.

    Have a wonderful week, Susie.

    love, ~me
