The sky is clear this morning as the sun is just coming up. You know it's cold. I love the clear skies, but that allows any heat to escape....so I enjoy the sunshine and wear my big coat to the mailbox for the paper.
I found my fake flower that I bought last year at this time. Got it out for a center piece. I wish I had bought all four of these...as I recall they were 4 dollars each. Would have made some nice gifts or just to have one in the bedrooms and living room for cheer.
Where is everyone hiding these days? Seems there is less activity in blogland. I miss seeing everyone's decorating, cooking , or just their everyday family life. Hope all of you are well. Take time to play today. XO
It's cold here too, Susie, but I keep telling myself that spring is right around the corner. February is almost half over already!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so pretty. I would never know they weren't real.
I don't know about others, but I am overwhelmingly busy so I don't have a lot of time to write or blog read. In a few weeks things will calm down for me when the book I'm editing goes for publication. I'll be glad to not have that deadline hanging over my head.
Kathy, Who wrote the book you are editing?? You must be very knowledgeable to do something so very important. I keep telling myself..oh spring, just so near. LOL...Hard for the people of Boston to think that way..bless them. Hope you and Joe are healthy, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSuch cheerful flowers, Susie! Many places could use some summer cheer these days. I can't believe how much snow Boston is having this winter.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a busy time here, and I'm rather low on blog ideas myself. Tomorrow will be Cookbook Wednesday, though.:-)
Have a Terrific Tuesday! xo Nellie
Nellie, I love seeing your cook books and what all you cook up. So I am excited for that. I know what you are saying about"what to blog about"...I hate to be so boring , but at times nothing much is going on in my life...don't get me wrong, it's nice at times too. LOL. Hope you are keeping warm, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love your pretty flowers. I have a new basket I need to fill with something Springy. I'm playing with dolls...that's where I am! teehee! Come on over and play with me! Hugs!!!
ReplyDeleteDiane, Wish I had me a dolly, I'd be on a plane for Florida. LOL I did get my lace tablecloth on the table with the flowers and my silver candy dish. I play with center piece at times. I should be playing with the sweeper. :):) Blessings for a great fun day. xoxo,Susie
DeleteGot sunny skies today and its sooo cold. Sitting in here letting house fill with the brightness.
ReplyDeleteI love your centerpiece- so pretty and summery.
I know what you mean about people being scarce on here. I wonder if they are sick or taking care of someone who is. Prayers for all...this stuff going around here isn't for sissies. Have a great day, girl.
Tete, When , if ever, I get to move back into town...I will have to worry about curtains and blinds. Out here we have mini blinds in front and in the bedrooms...but the dining room and kitchen are wide open, because I love seeing as far as I can and letting the sunshine in. I am glad you always try to blog...me too. I sure Diana's fun witty posts. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI'm right here. Where else would I be? :)

Laura
Laura, It is funny , There are people I know will be blogging everyday, if they are able. I am glad you are here too. Hope you are having a good week. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteBless your heart. i get cold just reading this. We're getting ready for another Arctic Blast. I'm so ready for spring and I know ya'll are. Warm Hugs, xo
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, It did warm up some. But by 5:30 pm. I went out to walk around and it was cold again. I just kept walking , came back in and put my cold hands on my husband. LOL. Hope you are feeling better. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe flowers are so cheery...this time of year I start really wanting some green,,,I'm inspired!
ReplyDeleteI can see our lawn now that all our snow has melted. I sure hope we don't get any big snows now...it's sad about all the east coast. My gosh, I would wear my snow shovel out. Hope you are warm there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI'm here, Susie! I know what you mean, it seems that many people aren't blogging as much. The cold winter months are dreary for some. I really like your centerpiece, and the color of the roses are so pretty.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
ps I wanted to tell you that I don't live near LA at all. I live in the other direction, where the freeways aren't as busy, and the spring is already coming our way. :~)
Sheri, So glad you are still blogging. I just miss some of our friends who haven't been posting for a while. I bet you are glad not to drive those LA streets. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThose flowers don't look fake..Nice here today..mid 40's and sunny..Bitter cold around the corner ..Again..
ReplyDeleteMissy, I think you must get similar weather there...it's to turn arctic cold again for us also. Won't it be nice when we can open our windows and air out our homes?? I love that time of year. Hope you are doing well. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh Susie..I love your bouquet! It is gorgeous....I'm like you...I wish afterwards I had bought this or that. Especially when there is such a good price on something! Love your sunrise! Hope your weather will warm up for the next few days. Ours was pretty nice today. I haven't been able to decorate for V day. All of my holiday decorations are buried behind some of my SILs stuff..:-( Anyway..no big deal...but that's my excuse for not blogging about V decoration! £|:-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Gert, The flowers in this bouquet just look so very real, is one of the reason I wish I had bought the rest. :):) I don't decorate for holidays much. I usually do the seasons . I am longing for the spring season.LOL. Hope Tom is doing well. I know you mentioned he was having the heart monitor put back on. Hope everything is well. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWell I for one have been busy between work and snow. The there's the snow and the snow. Did I mention the snow?
ReplyDeleteDecorating is not one of my strong suits. Now if you will excuse I must go practice being hardy as I have to put my cloths into the dryer.
Boston Boy, I think you are going to be wearing your snow shovel out. Your town has been on the news , it looks like the north pole. There were people shoveling their roofs on the news. Oh my gosh, now that's scary. We live in a one story home...Ted has made a scraper with a long handle to keep the snow from making ice dams. ..so we watch that at times. I hope you are doing well. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt was very sunny today, made it seem warmer than 30!
ReplyDeleteI have been posting more often. For some reason I am not getting posts in my email...the blogs I follow by email. I just don't know what happened.
MC is still in labor. It has been a very long day for them. Keep her in your prayers.
Jane xx
Blondie, I sure will keep praying for MC. Some days I can click right on blogs and other days I have to wait till later...it's like I can't get through...my husband says it's our carrier. Makes me crazy. :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
