When I went to Horton's French Market, this is what I bought. A little pillow with an Indiana shaped cutout sewn on it. A wedding card that says, "Happily Ever After Begins Today", I bought two of these as my two step grandchildren are both getting married next month.
This is the back side of the pillow . Loved the gray/ off white chevron stripes. Looks a bit creamy colored with my lighting. The soul mates sign, yes I got two of those for the soon to be newly wedded couples. :)
A young lady was selling re-worked clothing , jewelry and these buttons. She made the buttons herself. I got them for my daughter Kathy. She will make something cute with them. Also a little leather bracelet with horses stamped on it.
I had to have two packages of crafting papers and cutouts. These will be wee gifts also.
I love this little wreath. A cloth rose corsage, that can actually be pinned onto a purse or hat. I thought it would be nice in my hair at the nape of the neck. The Horton's wrapped anything bought from them in this pretty toile tissue paper. Then put into a nice brown bag with carrying handles. Most of what I bought is for gift giving. The wreath and rose are for me. I will be going back to the Horton's store thru this coming week. If I pick up any more treasures I will show all of you.:):)
Today some in our state are fighting flooding....again ! Our ground here in Indiana is saturated. We can not handle much more rain . The fields are standing in water, farmers losing crops. I will have them in my prayers today. Hope today is a good day for all of you. XO
Hi Susie, I love each of your treasures! That wreath might just be my favorite! The cards and plaques you purchased for the newlyweds are very unique and just perfect. Aren't those buttons cute? Maybe you will share what Kathy uses them on.
ReplyDeletePrayers for those affected by the flooding.
I wish you a nice day. xo
Mildred, Kathy likes to use buttons in some of her bracelet making. But these were fall type buttons, leaves, pumpkins...she could make a nice pin with them. Thank you for the prayers for all in need. Hope you get to enjoy your day. we are getting bit and pieces of sunshine today. Already rained this morning. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh Susie, you're flooding and can't handle much more rain, and we need the rain so very much! Can you bring some of your water over to us? I liked all the goodies you bought at Horton's especially the rose corsage.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day.
love, ~Sheri
Sheri , I wish this rain could go west to help all of you there. I liked the things I bought and will use them for gifts most likely. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove all your treasures you got from Horton's. I wish we could send some of this rain we are getting here in the midwest out to the West Coast where they need it. More rain for us tonight and tomorrow Ughhh! Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteKris
Kris, I am amazed at the amounts of rain we have had this year....praying our normal fall rains just skip this area. LOL. Hope you get to enjoy your lovely deck.. I can not believe I had anew rug on the porch and have yet to see it dry. Does Terry have any direction on Ark building? LOL. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi there Susie. Sorry I have been absent off and on lately. Love what you bought. Love that pillow. State things are really a hit right now. This rain is unreal. Everything is damp. The weeds are growing like crazy though. Hope all else is well (((((HUGS))))
ReplyDeleteHi Debby, So glad to hear from you. :):) I thought I would send that little Indiana pillow to my g.son and his wife on their first year anniversary...to remind them of all the family in Indiana who love them. Hope we get some dry weather soon...like a week or so. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou always find pretty things for yourself and for gifts at this store. I say the same thing every time...I wish we had one close by. Enjoy your afternoon sweet friend. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, I am glad I could find some things on Saturday...I will go back this week and look for more when it's not so crowded...but the outside venders will be gone. Hope you are having fun hiking with your husband. Today turned out pretty here..well at this moment it is. Blessings dear friend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI would have bought those very same things!!!
ReplyDeleteThose will be perfect wedding gifts! And I know you are going to make something adorable to use those buttons on!!!
Sorry about the flooding! It doesn't seem fair that some areas of our country get so MUCH and others so LITTLE!
Linda, I certainly know you understand about all the rain. Al the standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes too. Yikes. I am giving the buttons to my daughter...she's the crafty jewelry maker. :) You and you loved ones are in my prayers. Love you, Susie
DeleteI love all your finds! YOU find the best things! I hear you on the rain. I am soooo thankful we have missed most of the inches that have fallen! All around us is bad here, too. We have severe stuff moving in tomorrow afternoon and evening- so watch out- it will be heading your way. They are talking tornadoes, hail and high winds. Muggy and buggy here. Just might hang out inside the rest of the week, except for Wed, when I have to have the lump cut out. Hope your weekend was good.
ReplyDeleteTete, You know I will be thinking of you and holding you in my prayers this week. It's bad enough with the rain..now severe weather too. I am ready to move.LOL I am thinking the bugs will take over the whole outdoors...we'll have to go out in the snow for any sunshine this winter. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou found some really cute things! I went flea marketing the other day, but only bought a few books. I do wish we had something like Horton's.
ReplyDeleteHope the rains ease up soon. For both our states. Take care and have a nice week!
Cheryl, I love junking, but do not go as much, or I'll need a pole barn to hold it all. LOL I knew there were many others getting too much rain also. I would love to share it with the dry states. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh Susie, I love your finds. The pillow and the sign are just adorable. Gray is my new white.
ReplyDeleteHI Bonnie, I love that you said gray is your new white. So cute. Hope you have a blessed week. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWonderful treasures! Love the pillow. I wish we had more places to find treasures in our area. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathrine, My daughter lives near Michigan and knows so many junk shopping places. I am happy with Horton's emporium and the Kokomo treasure marts. Hope you have a great new week, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI would be happy to receive any of your wee gifts..Very cute..I don't think I could go to Hortons and not buy anything..Have a wonderful week Susie..
ReplyDeleteMissy, When I do go to Horton's, I try to buy something....not too expensive, can't be doing that. But I want them to stay in Tipton, so I buy something every trip there. Got all my annual flowers there...they were so nice the rabbits ate the petunias. Sad. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWell I could complain about it being hot and humid but that's better than flooding so I won't.
ReplyDeleteAll your gifts are quite thoughtful.
Boston Boy, I just hate flooding. So much clean up involved, plus the threat of molds, if things aren't dried completely. Thank you for visiting and leaving nice comments. xoxo,Susie
DeleteGreat finds, and my prayers are with those poor farmers too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Gert, I saw on the news where farmers have crop insurance but have to lose 30% of their crop. Hard to say ho much is lost here in our county. I am so beyond ready for a normal summer, aren't you? bless you, xoxo,Susie
