Thank you dear friend Diane at Lavender Dreamer. Diane sent me a card to bring me elfin magic.:):) So cute. I think it worked too.
Here's the magic it brought me. I looked at my hydrangea and it had grown many flower heads. So I picked one for inside. One flower filled the jar vase...one flower makes a bouquet. Now that's magic ! One year these hydrangeas were green, now they are pink. I have a hydrangea that I am absolutely going to transplant, it's only about a foot tall. I do not know what is happening with it.
The fourth is just around the corner now. Time to be preparing veggies for making salads for the family get together. It's going to be a busy weekend. Wishing all of you a good Wednesday. XO
You must have remembered...hydrangeas are my favorite flower! I hope you have a magical day my friend. You sure bring much joy to mine every day! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, Thank you for the good wishes and kind words. I love having your friendship too. The hydrangea is doing so well. I will keep the flowerhead for they are pretty even dry. Hope your day is sweet, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSo sweet! I love what your magical card blossomed into. The hydrangea is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteNonnie, It is so funny how things work. I thought Well that is some magic, I will take a flower inside. I like to keep the flowerheads even when they are dry. Hope your day is going well. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteMy hydrangea won't bloom for about another month here. I can't get the colors to grow---even by adding the proper acid to the soil. Gotta love that Diane, don't you? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDiana, I hope your weather works for you...once the flowers come along. I have not had such a good year with my plants I need to find more way to get color going. Maybe fake flowers. LOL. Those darn rabbits ate my pretty petunias .I do love Diane...she's just too sweet. LOL. Some times my blog family is surprising. :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove hydrangeas I got a new one for Mother's Day! Love yours!
ReplyDeleteSylvia, the hydrangea that I mentioned transplanting was a mother's day gift about 3 years ago. It is not acting right...so I need to help it out. Blessings for many flowerheads on your plant, xoxo,Susie
DeleteCute card..My Blue Hydrangeas are all turning pink due too the Alkaline soil around here..I prefer the blue but I think I am fighting a losing battle..
ReplyDeleteMissy, There's a house in town that the hydrangea has every color on it...it just makes wish to own one. LOL. I love the truly blue colors though. I am just amazed at how big one flowerhead can be. I know there a food to give them for the colors you prefer. I have to let nature takes it course here, most times. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSO pretty Susie and so nice of Diane to send you that sweet card. Have a great rest of the week and wonderful 4th. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteKris
Kris, I enjoy emailing, blogging, I do not face book....but good old snail mail is my all time favorite. Diane card was a sweet surprise. Hope you and Terry have a beautiful 4th. xoxo,Susie
DeleteDon't you just love hydrangeas?
ReplyDeleteJudy
Judy, Yes I do love hydrangeas...they make me think of an English garden. Peonies are just as pretty but do not hold up as well in wind and rain. Hope you are enjoying some pretty flowers and good weather. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSo pretty, I love, love hydrangeas! I planted my first ones this year! Oh that Diane is a sweetheart, isn't she?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the 4th!
Nancy
Nancy, I sure hope your hydrangea grow well. They can change but it's still pretty. I know Diane has many friends in blogland. She is a sweetie. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

Jann
Jann, Thank you. I hope your 4th is filled with family fun. Be safe. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love your hydrangea! I have always loved the big mophead blue ones that we have here, I hope to have one someday! xx
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could get one for a special day. I did get one of mine for mother's day. I do know the color depends on the acidity of your soil. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up tonight! Sorry you lost your tree, and that you had do much work to clean up your yard. But let me tell you...your yard looks amazing! Having family there had to be so much fun, especially spending time with Emily.
Your flower is gorgeous. Wish I had dome do pretty!
Happy 4th!
Gert
Gert, we try to keep the lawn nice...but it is a job ...some times almost too much. I did love having the girls visit and then Emma stayed two night. I have missed her so much. Hey do not ever worry about your typing...my gosh I send things out with letters missing or in the wrong spot so many times...it is as if I am not speaking English. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSorry...I think I hit "d" instead of "s" every time!
ReplyDeletewhat a cute card.. what a sweet friend! and of course.. what a beautiful flower!
ReplyDeletehave a great holiday weekend!
xoxo
vivian
Hi Viv, I wish you a great 4th weekend too. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat hydrangea is just so pretty! I had a blue hydrangea which is now pink. Wonder why they change.
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet of Dianne to send you that card.
Kathy, Your hydrangea has changed due to the acidity in your soil. I think the more acid in your soil the bluer the flower. But I have seen them with all shades of blue lavender and pink on the same plants.?? so what is going on there I have no clue. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI wish we could grow them here. I sometimes buy them cut at the gourmet grocery store but they only last a few days! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteJapolina, Hi honey, I do miss you. Do you re-cut the stems before you put them in water, that might help. But I think hydrangeas look good even dried. Blessings to you and your fellows, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a cute card Diane sent you, Susie. She is such a creative blog friend. Your pink hydrangeas are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis Fourth of July is not so nice for us, as my brother-in-law is being operated on right now. (don't want to go into it on the comment), You're the first one I told in blog land. Please say a prayer for him, dear Susie.
love, ~me
Yes Sheri, I will pray for your BIL. We never know what is in our futures...but prayer is always welcome and has power. Hope all of you are holding up well. Blessings dear friend, love, Susie
