Today we are celebrating Labor Day. Wow, I remember when I worked how exciting a three day weekend would be. All you hard working people know what I mean. Some times we just need a break.
Even if you do not work, you may need a break from those everyday routines. Oh boy do I feel that way. The month of September has lots of festivals around Indiana. My hometown of Tipton, In. will be hosting the pork festival starting this Thursday, going through Saturday night. Fairmount has James Dean festival. Atlanta, In . will have the Earth Day Festival. Nappenee, In. has an apple festival coming up. We have a blueberry festival, but I am not sure what town that is near. In October there will be the Covered Bridge Festival in Parke county. We don't make all the festivals. I meet my daughter Angie, for the pork festival one day. Then all my daughters, Angie, Kathy, Karen , and Lizzy, and I try to go to the Earth festival, together.
I hope all workers have had a nice weekend so far. Well even us non workers...Oh face it who ever heard of a non working woman ?LOL....Blessings to all of us. xo
You are so right, women work all of the time. LOL The pork festival sounds good as do all of the rest. Have a wonderful day Susie!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite time of the year to enjoy festivals and cooler weather. Hope you have a nice Labor Day, Susie.
ReplyDeleteSusie, the festivals sound great. I loved long weekends when I was working and really needed the extended time to relax. Happy Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's already September! Sounds like you have a lot of fun activities coming up.

The festivals sound really interesting, you are going to be busy. Today you can relax and enjoy Labour Day.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of fall fairs here in central PA..I love fall..Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the non working woman part. Even on these fun long weekends, there tends to be lots of work to be done. LOL Love your photos today.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of festivals here, too. Broom Corn in Arcola, Il is coming up next weekend. We used to have the Oakland Corn and Bean Festival, but that's been a few years now since they stopped doing that. Just not enough younger ones to find the time to do it. Too busy texting, I guess. I have never been to covered bridge, but so many from here go there every year. ENJOY THE LAST FEW HOURS OF THIS GREAT AMERICAN WEEKEND!
I hope you had a nice three day weekend as well. I can relate to the three day weekend when I worked as well. It sure did feel good to get a few days off and rest. But it seemed like there was so much to get done, rest was out of the question..lol. Hugs, xo
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I remember the enthusiasm with which I greeted those three-day week-ends when I was teaching!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like there are a lot of festivals that will be fun planned for the future. Enjoy those you visit!
