Doesn't It Seem......

I read on Debbie's blog Lakehouse,  that her irises were blooming....so I ran outside to see if ours were. One lone white iris at this time. Love that sweet Debbie, a true friend.
These are the skies clearing after a huge rain on Saturday. Had another heavy rain again on Sunday.  Which some times makes watching satellite TV hard to watch. Then something must have happened...it never straightened out after that while the sun was out.  Grrrr.
My rose is trying to come back...needs food I think. Much more flower tending needed here. Rabbits ate my proven winners ' petunias.   Grrr...
Here's the covers I made for  some  recycled pillows and cushions. The top is a chair bottom cushion with ties , to tie it on the back of the chaise that has brackets for ties. Great idea.  The seat cushion was a cheap pillow I had just bought for an extra. It will make  a nice place to sit and read.
This is one of my whiny complaints today.  Garage door is hanging up and going crooked. Repairman is on his way today. Plus after four days of crazy TV service, we are going to another provider. They are also coming out today.  I truly hate waiting and going through all this....but doesn't it seem it all happens at once.????  I know, I know, why am I whining?? I can at least get these things done today.  LOL.
Wishing all of you a good day. Maybe sunshine will help.  XO

    1. Hi Linda, Hope you are feeling good today. Between rains and some crazy winds..I need some sunshine days to work on my flowers. A rabbit has eaten some of my potted plants I had near the garage. So my husband is life trapping to relocate them. There's a nice big woods down the road.:)Bless you, Susie

  3. Your single white iris is so pretty, Susie. Oh, I don't like computer or tv issues either. It seems to come at the worst time too. What a cute pillow and cushion you made for your chaise. Love the colors and pattern.

It might rain here this weekend, that would be nice. Don't like the heat so much as I get older. Have a beautiful week, Susie.

    1. Judy, Thank good ness the garage door repairman is done and gone. The satellite guys is here and I am letting Ted tend to his needs. :):) They sure have a long gap between when they can be at your house. Noon to five. Then maybe be here 2-3 hours. Yikes. Can't go anywhere and a day is eaten up. Hopefully it all works out great. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Thank you sweet Debby. I love getting hugs. We had the hardest working young man putting in all the new tv dish equipment. The door guy did well too. Glad it's over with. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  8. Hi Susie, Your pillows turned out so pretty! Sorry about the tv and garage door. It seems we spend a lot of time waiting on others to show up and repair something. We usually get stood up, too! I use Bayer Rose Food/insect repellent...in a bright blue laundry det. type bottle at WalMart. love it.
Hope you have some warm sunshine to brighten tomorrow. xo

    1. Mildred, We got those repairmen in and got things back to being up and running. Long day though. I sprayed our roses with some Bayer product but it was just for insects, I think. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  11. What a pretty iris! I don't think I've ever seen a white one. My purple irises are blooming like mad. I love them.

The chaise cushions are so pretty. It's the perfect place to curl up with a good book. (Or take a nap since when I start to read I almost always fall asleep!)

    Have a good night, Susie.

    1. Kathy, I love irises and think of my mother when I see purple ones. Those were the first ever flowers in any yard we had growing up. That and the lilacs. Thanks about the cushions and chaise. I did laugh when you said you read, then fall asleep. Blessings to you and Joe, hope you are both well. xoxo,Susie

    1. Gert, I surprised myself...didn't know my finger would still work sewing. The repairmen both work very well and got their jobs done and we were happy...it was an all day thing though. Glad it's done. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  13. The rabbits were eating my roses also but then I sprayed them with " Skoot " It works and it doesn't hurt the rabbits, they just don't like the taste so they will get away from my roses. Try it.

    1. Thank you Paul, I will have to look for that. One life trapped rabbit went for a trip to the big woods on the corner. Surely he will not hop all the way back here. LOL
Hope you are having beautiful weather to enjoy. Today is pretty here, so was Tuesday but it was rather hectic. Blessings to all at your house, xoxo,Susie
