Or going down.....this small stairs caught my eye. I had parked at the grocery, decided to walk through the alley. This is right on the alley , as you can see. They lead to a backdoor of Baker's Decorating. No it's not cake decorating , with a name like Baker it would seem appropriate. Mr. Baker is a home decorator. My daughter and I walked through some neighborhood recently. It was such an odd feeling, as if we were in a different town. There was a house for sell in the neighborhood and I wanted to see how many dogs were chained up or in a fenced in yard.....being ignored, so they bark all the time. I know dogs gotta bark, but I also know it should not be 24/7. I had a neighbor who allowed her dog to bark all the time. That will be another post sometime. So walk your dogs, play with them and absolutely feed them.....they are your "other" child. :):)
Two houses down and a good distance away, Thank God, two young men live with a kennel full of dogs. They bark a lot. I am glad we are not next door.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hate barking dogs! I like those little stairs.
ReplyDeletethose little stairs are a really cool picture!! how interesting to walk around and get a feel for the neighborhood from chained dogs...I am going to remember this...
ReplyDeletei think i'd break my leg on those stairs! and yes, if you have a dog WALK it!!! for heavens sakes. poor things.

Those steps look like an accident just waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the dogs, our neighbor just built a pen for her dog, that is right up against the corner of our backyard. Our fence is 6 feet high and pretty much solid accept for the slats. He barks, but when my dog, Butchy, hears him , he wants out. I let him out and he goes right to the fence, sticks his nose in a slat and seems to comfort, her dog. The barking stops. I do feel sorry for him. Big dogs need room to run (let me take that back, all dogs need room to run) at least a backyard, not a six foot pen. Well, dogs are not the reason I'm here, I am here because I love junking, too. I am looking forward to traveling along on your junking adventures. I am your newest follower, Connie :)
Please accept my warm invitation to visit and hopefully to follow me, too. I'm heading to town in a few minutes to grocery shop, but I'm traveling a route that will take me past a local thrift shop. I think it is always a good idea to add a little happy shopping in the mix.
Those steps look like they are for elves!
ReplyDeleteSeems all of us have at least one neighbor who fails to give their dog the love/exercise they need!
Those steps crack me up!
ReplyDeleteDogs should not be left outside all day. And ignored. Why have one, if that's what you're going to do? They just need attention and exercise - something every responsible dog owner should do.

Those steps - how funny!
ReplyDeleteToo bad for those dogs with owners who don't pay them proper attention.:(
Those little steps are cute but probaly dangerous..I hear a lot of barking dogs in the neighborhood..I wish people would take better care of their dogs..
ReplyDeleteWhat funny steps. We had a neighbor that abused their dog so badly that we reported it. It was awful..and we had talked to them about it 3 or 4 times before reporting it. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThose tiny steps are just so funny. What's the point really? You would need very tiny feet! ... And I hear you on the subject of barking dogs. We have a few in our neighborhood. And when the people are home, I always wonder why the barking doesn't bother them too. And then there's the issue of the little gifts they leave in your yard - yuck!
