Any direction you can look at Arlington Cemetery....is row after row of white headstones. That is just a portion of those that gave their all. Take a moment of silence today for our fallen. Hug your own service person today, if it is possible. xo
at one time sarge was going to be buried there but when they opened the new national cemetery near us we changed our minds so i could easily go visit and it is lovely too. not nearly the same as arlington but lovely nonetheless. lakes and trees and rows and rows of stones. there is a huge ceremony there today but too hard for me to go, you have to take a shuttle and not your car and take your chair and i decided i can't walk that far yet too. maybe next year. we went a week ago.
I have never been to Arlington, but I can imagine the feeling that resides there. We owe our freedom to those fallen men and woman. I am now following you. Hugs, Jann
I had a wonderful visit here with Marydon and Sherry two years ago. Will always remember the impact it had on me. So grateful for the sacrifice. So grateful!
