Yesterday, I caught the neighbor's goats ...out of their pen and in my yard ready to eat our plants. We ran them home with the garden hose, they hate water on them(?)... we penned them back up and it was not 15 minutes they were out again. We called the man to tell him he needed to fix the fence. He had Ted help him with his rickety old fence....good grief . I told the neighbor, this is my last time penning up your goats, fix the fence. Do you think the goats would go eat his beans or corn...no !!! they came straight to our yard. You can tell I am not happy about it all. We never bother people , we mind our own business....all I want is the same respect. Things like this make me long to be back in town. The topper is their lackadaisical attitude...saying "oh well you have to expect things like this." NO, NO I DON"T !!! Sorry for whining and ranting ..LOL. xo

Goats?!! I would be complaining, too! Don't they eat everything? ;-DReplyDelete
Your clematis looks wonderful. Mine blooms late summer but it is so pretty on the arbor right now. It gets white flowers. Hope you are surviving the heat!
Beautiful clematis blooms! I don't blame you about the goats. It is the neighbor's responsibility to both his animals and you (as neighbors) to ensure they are fenced in!!!ReplyDelete
Your flowers are lovely. Sorry about those annoying goats!ReplyDelete
Your clematis looks great- very healthy looking. Ours are almost past bloom now.ReplyDelete
I hate neighbors that have attitudes like that-it is too bad. I love that you spray them with the hose! xo Diana
We're not allowed goats in our little piece of country but we have new neighbors who seem to think this way about their dog, who gets out and heads straight for our house - oh well, she'll come home. They have NO CLUE that it burdens others or that a dog in the country can meet with a lot of trouble. I bet a goat could too!!ReplyDelete
I think you have every right to complain, hope he gets the message, your flowers are lovely,ReplyDelete
That clementis is beautiful.. Theweather has not been good on my flowers this year either..They got to much rain in the spring and now I'm watering them everyday..go figure..Hope you have a nice weekend, SusieReplyDelete
You'd think they would have more sense than to come back if they know they will get hosed. It would appear they take after their owner! What a selfish attitude.ReplyDelete
The clematis is beautiful though. I love them, and can't get enough of them.
no it is NOT okay to let your goats run amok! no no no, they are bad neighbors and you have my permission to tell them i said so!ReplyDelete
You know those goats love you because you feed them. Thats why they end up in your yard ; )ReplyDelete
