Creapy....
Hope you can see this praying mantis. I was a little bit afraid to get too close, for fear he would jump on me. I get goose bumps on my head just saying that. LOL Here is the rose that my daughter Kathy gave me to save keep for her. Her son gave it to her for mother's day many years ago. When they moved, they lived in an apartment and Kathy just couldn't leave this rose bush behind. I had to transplant it in a whole different area this year, it turn all brown, but had one green leaf left , so we watered and added fertilizer. Now it has some nice leaves and a single rose. I will take that as a promise that it will come back next year. I see a busy week ahead for us. Hope all of you had a fun weekend and enjoy this great day. xo

That is a very pretty rose, it is looking very healthy now, so it must have got over the move!
ReplyDeleteThe praying mantis looks fine from a distance!
so nice that the rose was brought to you, it looks like it has made a [promise to survive, I have never saw a praying Mantis in real life, they are creepy but excellent for the garden aren't they!
ReplyDeleteThose praying mantis things kind of freak me out, too! It looks like your daughter's rosebush is going to survive the trauma of a move- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet of you to care for the "love" rose. I get attached to plants like that to. I like the faces of praying manti. So interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rose. That praying mantis wouldn't hurt you! But did you know that if it's a woman, after her and her praying mantis man do "it", she will bite his head off! It's true. That's your nature lesson for the day. Sweet of you to give the notes to those people. Nicki told me she got my message and I just figured you told her I said Hi. I'll have to let her know you did that for me. You are a sweetie.

How sweet that you can keep that rose for your daughter. I've left so many trees and plants in homes over the years and I love that you can save it for her.
ReplyDeleteI love the praying mantis and it is wonderful that your rose bush survived. amazing what a little love and some fertilizer will do.

Beautiful rose.
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, praying Mantis are definately creepy looking, but they are so good to have in the garden. They eat all of the bad bugs. Glad that the rose is doing well. It's a beautiful color.
